Brought my older Mercedes in as my check engine light had come on.  Had taken my car to another well-known german service center and was was unhappy with attitude and lack of interest of technician.

Found Charlie and ACV through Yelp. Charlie was incredible. Spent time with me to assess and find out about the issue. Turned out to be a very simple fix and cost me $0. Best kind of service, for me.

Great location also, just off I5. Definitely going there back in the future. Thanks!

I really like these guys' style!  I am a new employee at Scripps Hospital, and I needed a place to go that is near work, so I took a chance with this place based on Yelp reviews.  They told me to come on my lunch break and they would look at my car.  Charlie (the owner) talked to me, and knew that I was on my lunch break.  So, he hooked the car up immediately to the diagnostic tool within 10 minutes of me being there, to diagnose the problem.  He asked if I could wait to see if he could track down parts, or offered to give me a ride back to work if I couldn't wait.    Within the next half hour, he called several parts suppliers, decided that the part was available, but not until about 5pm, So, since my car was still driveable,  he suggested that I drop the car off first thing the following morning and they would fix me up by the end of the day.  (Also of note, while I was sitting there waiting to see what would happen, another former customer randomly stopped by to bring everyone there pastries.... she offered me one too)  The whole vibe of the place was very mom-and-pop, but incredibly knowledgeable to boot.  My car was ready BEFORE quitting time of work the next day, and for LESS than he originally quoted me as a possible price.   I would gladly recommend this place for fixing your vehicle.  Seemed to me to be very straight-shooting, and extremely personable.

I have been coming to ACV for about 15 years, got my very first car here. I would fully recommend that anyone looking to buy a car, service their car, or get repairs done, or even just as simple as needing a lightbulb replaced should come to ACV. You will always be greeted with a smiling face and fast service!

I recently called to ask Charlie what a noise was that I heard my car making (you know, everyone always tries to mimic a noise a car is making to a mechanic). Over the phone gave me a couple possibilities that it could be but just told me to come in whenever. I did just that and happened to need a service done on my car at the same time which Charlie didn't know about but it didn't matter. My car got pulled into the garage, oil changed, service done, clicking is gone, and within an hour I was on my way.

Whether it's your first time here or you've been coming here for 15 years like me, it won't matter, they'll treat you with respect, answer all your questions and never pressure you to do anything you don't want to do with your car.

Bonus is, if you're looking to buy a car and you have something in mind they can go to auction and try to find it for you! It's never a guarantee that they'll find it but they'll sure try :-)

I recently had my car stolen and was able to get it back about a month later, only to find thousands upon thousands of dollars worth of damage done to my car. Being fresh out of college, I am a little strapped, to say the least, and am not trying to spend all of my hard earned money on my 1998 Honda Civic.
I took my car into ACV a few days ago just to get a standard oil change, because my car had been drained of all liquids when it was stolen. I was immediately greeted by a friendly man that sat down with me and took a legitimate interest in my story and car history. Even though the office was busy, he seemed to really care about what I wanted and was not phased by the fact that I did not have a lot of money to spend. The lot was full of beautiful expensive cars, but they did not bat an eye at the fact that my crappy Honda was literally falling apart in their lot. The mechanic got the job done very quickly and efficiently and the price was much lower than I expected. They suggested a thicker oil for my car, since it had been completely drained and the engine had been through quite a bit. They also made sure that the breaks were in good shape and the mechanic was nice enough to even compliment what a great car it was and how nicely it drove. Shocking! At no point did I feel pressured to upgrade this or that and they even told me they would be happy to help me with all of the damage to my car piece by piece, when I was able to afford it. I was able to get in and out of there on my lunch break (without an appointment- I just called right before I came in and they told me to come on in) and left feeling very satisfied with my overall experience. I know these guys work hard and are passionate about their jobs, so taking the time to sit down and write a review for them seems like the least I could do.

Thanks to all of you at ACV!

The place is run by Joe and his son Brandon...both trustworthy individuals who knows the business of luxury cars.  If you own a fine piece of machinery and you are looking for people who you can trust? Then this is the place. Excellent service! Managed by a fellow named Charlie that can fix just about anything. Tremendous wealth of knowledge from their sales people to their certified mechanics. I've purchased 5 Mercedes Benz vehicles from here and over the course of years have been extremely happy with each and every experience. Highly recommend!

There are a few industries where I am completely naive and I will do whatever the "professional"recommends: they include dentists, veterinarians and used to include car mechanics. Normally, I follow whatever recommendation because I don't want my teeth to fall out nor do I want my dog or cat to die an untimely death. And most of the time, I feel like a shlub for overpaying or doing some unnecessary test or procedure.

Happily, in the field of car mechanics, I am no longer that shlub because of Charlie and his crew at ACV. I only discovered them after getting my car repaired there after a couple of fender benders and discovered that they do routine maintenance like oil changes.

But the best thing is, they are honest and do not try to upsell me anything nor try to intimidate me into thinking my car will break down if I don't do such and such. I so appreciate that.

While they are a little bit hidden within an industrial area, don't let that deter you. They are conveniently located near the 5 fwy and the Sorrento Valley train station and if you call them, they are happy to give you directions.

Tell them Mariko sent you :)

Also, I sent my spouse there to have some work done on his Honda and he is one picky, critical and skeptical guy and you know what, he was so happy with Charlie's work that he now recommends his colleagues to go there as well !!

I took my Mercedes here to refresh before retuning the lease to Mercedes, they gave me an estimate including rim work, bumper repair, scratches and dings repaired for $1600.  I liked their service, they detailed the car.  The only problem was the dead battery when I went to get the car because one of their workers had accidentally left my parking lights on which I discovered after they recharged the car.  When they detailed the car (as a nice gesture) the worker must have accidentally switched my auto light setting to P which leaves the parking light on.....
Nice guys though and they tried their best to charge my battery.

ACV is a professional knowledgeable group of professionals looking to get you into a premier car. If you are a young professional male or female looking to get into a car that matches your status and are looking for great cars and service ACV Wholesale Warehouse is the place to go.

I had the pleasure of dealing and getting professional car advice from Brian one of their no pressure well versed car salesmen.

My purchase was a beautiful 1997 Mercedes SL-500 convertible in perfect condition. It was a great buy, it rides and looks like a Mercedes should!

ACV is a must stop if you are looking for that nice car, truck, or other car services for your current or future vehicles.

Happy SL500 owner

Charlie is the only mechanic I or any of my friends and family will trust our cars with. Trustworthy, great value for the price, reliable whenever you need work done, and always friendly too.

Great place to get a quality used car from honest people who know cars.  I bought a car there recently, and will use them for my next car also.  I have also used and liked their service.

Fantastic business. They're all very professional and HONEST. As you may know, honest car repair people are very hard to come by but the employees of ACV are the best. Charlie knows what he is doing and is always very friendly and quick at diagnosing the problem.

Sears Auto Center has tried to tell me that I have over $500 worth of work to be done on my car. I take my car into ACV and there is no BS. I get a good, straightforward answer and solution to the problem. The best part is that I never have to go back after my problem has (actually) been fixed! (meaning a job well done).

HIGHLY recommended.

Honest and fair! Took my sons car to sears and they told us a ton of stuff was wrong with his car. Brought the car to Charlie and all that it needed was a thermostat repair saved us a lot of money.
