Reviews on Zoom Motors

I WILL NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THEM AGAIN!! I would also give them negative stars if I could. We bought our truck from Zoom motors on 2/10/15. We were told that they would fix a squealing belt and put a tailgate cover on the truck before we signed the paperwork. When I called to have them fix these issues about a week later they seemed apprehensive but did take the truck and supposedly "fixed" it. A couple days later trucks belt started squealing again. I made 3 attempts to call zoom motors  and left 2 voicemails and 1 message with someone to see if they could look at the truck again with no phone call back. I finally got ahold of MIKE ZAMANI, who is the one who took care of us, today and was told that we were not promised to have the belt fixed and that it's no longer their problem. They obviously didn't want to call me back sooner and made us wait until our 1 month warranty was up so they didn't have to fix the problem. I told him that it was very bad business to not fix this issue that he promised he would fix it, besides we had a 1 month warranty through them! Mike proceeded to tell me that it was bad business on my part to bring our truck in on a day he had off and make his mechanic fix our truck!!! What a jerk!! Do not buy from here!!

We were recently helped by Will Nunez at Zoom Motors.  This gentlemen goes beyond his abilities to help you leave with something you love.  He worked for 3 hours with us on numbers and deals, during which all he did was smile and gave you that genuine feeling.  I hate car sales men, and Will has changed my mind.  I would highly recommend this place to friends.

I'd put negative stars if I could. Worst service ever!!!! We were told we could pick up a truck and we drove all the way from San Francisco, and were told we can't take it because the salesman wasn't there. Manager did not help what so ever. Absolute worst place to attempt to by a truck. We were about to spend over 20k on one truck and look for more trucks to buy when we arrived. There goes a multi truck sale. Don't waste your time.

We had a great experience at zoom motors! Will was very helpful in helping us view the truck we wanted to see, and mike was very knowledgable on diesel trucks!! We were treated right and we are in love with our new truck!!!! Thanks zoom motors!

LEMON ALERT !!!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone march 2013, I purchased a 2005 Subaru wrx very clean no modifications low miles approximately 60,00 appeared to be exactly what I was looking for I COULDN'T BE MORE WRONG !!!!!!
I found this vehicle via a add they posted on "Craigslist" drove 3hrs from nv talked to a smug jerk named Mike, the "CL" add said the car was for sale for  $15,000  I know its alot for that car but after searching "High and Low " for a non modified 2005 wrx it seemed like a great deal anyhow once I drove off the lot  I now owed 17,000 still didnt care because I assumed it was a highly reliable vehicle with no maintenance issues as Mike promised he told me his mechanics go through with a fine tooth comb.

1st when I reached high speeds car rumble when breaking
Brake rotors needed to be resurfaced  to me big deal but definitely something is supposedly highly trained mechanics should have caught , while get the repairs performed by a competent mechanic I chosen the mechanic found the " the rack and pinion" to be leaking. After pleading with many to fix this problem  he agreed to honor it. Drove down there waited all day he told me he couldn't get it done that day so I called a friend he now drove 3hrs picked me up drove me home. 4 days later mike called said the car was done  I once a again drove down picked it up and again oil EVERY WHERE I then  Chose my own mechanic here in Nv to fix it he also had to replace a wheel berring that was about to cease because of the rack and pinon.

2nd value cover gaskets needed to be replaced

Annnnnd third and final
Now head gaskets are toast I took it again to my mechanic told him my temperature gage was showing in the red he checked and told me my gaskets are toast I told him how displeased I was with thw car I wanted a non modified car good
For my family  then he tells me this car is modified the turbo boost was turned up and it has a up pipe wtf ! Now I owe 14,000 on a pos sitting in my driveway I can not drive!!

I purchased a 2008 CTS from Zoom motors a little over a month ago.  The car was in like-new condition, and went through a full service check-up at my local Cadillac dealership without any issues.  Very helpful as well in tying up some loose ends regarding documentation with the car I traded in.

Highly recomended.

I called them at 10am told them what I wanted gave them my stipulations and later that evening I was driving my new truck! Great communication great customer service and no haggling! They helped me get into the truck I wanted and they went above and beyond to help accomplish it. This is my 9th dealer I've visited in the last 3 months all over the Bay Area and Sacramento area and by far the best! I hate the car buying process and they made it easy ... So easy that I left shocked and appreciative of the wow experience. So I will highly recommend and send friends and family their way...... Oh they even waited for me after hours for contract signing.

Great experience. My husband and I had been searching for F350 diesel for about six months and everything we found was out of our price range had high mileage. Zoom seemed to have the best truck deals in town with the best reviews on Yelp. We ended up buying a 2005 F350 diesel. It is the cleanest used truck I have ever seen. Looks brand new. We love it!

Mike was great. Really took the time to understand our financial situation and found a loan that was right for us.

Only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is we are still within the 30 day warranty period, however if an issue does arise I am confident they will take care of it.

horrible place. the cars are in very poor condition and they are trying to sell them as premium.... stay far away....

I don't recommend buying a used car from a lot.. But if you are... these guys are great.!

Buying a car is full of traps and hidden bank fees. Make sure you check out edmunds.com to read about all the industry traps.

This dealership is the best on Fulton ave. we know because we went to several that tried to scam us with hidden fees... so if you go there make sure you go to Zoom Auto first. The car they sold was perfect!!!

I was dealing with Mike and he was pretty straight forward and a very nice guy.

There are things that are out of a dealership's control when they sell a car.. But Zoom Auto really check their cars to the best of their ability.

The reason I don't give 5 stars is that we had some small issues that could have been avoided. But it was all taken care of in the end.

Recently I went to Zoom Motors, meet and talk with Michael who was not only helpful in me finding a car, but the no pressure approach really worked. Very nice Vehicles he has on lot with Carfax in hand. Been to a great number of dealership I was truly treated with the "BEST" of respect and purchase the vehicle of my choice. Yes if I need to buy another vehicle Zoom Motors would be my first choice! I am very "HAPPY"

In response to Mammy:

I do apologize if I hurt anyone's feelings at Zoom Motors.  I was trying to buy a used car.  In my own personal experience starting off offering ten percent less than the dealer's asking price is common (also given the accident on the Carfax report).  Usually the other party will counteroffer and we go some where from there.  In this case the salesperson raised the advertised asking price when I contacted them five days later to start the negotiation again.  Hopefully you can see my reason for confusion and a two star review.

I don't doubt this is a quality vehicle, but diminished value has to factor in when looking at KBB estimates.  I am still in the market for a vehicle.  This particular truck I'm looking at has been on the market for almost ninety days.  I believe you have my contact information.  Regardless if I become a customer, I wish you the best in your business.

This is going to be an unusual review because I actually ended up not purchasing a vehicle from Zoom Motors; however, in my dealings with them, their management displayed integrity and honesty at a level that entirely goes against the 'used car salesman' stereotype.  We were looking all over California for 2004 Land Rover in one specific color, and found one advertised online at Zoom.  We live in Los Angeles, so a trip to Sacramento would be a major hassle, but it looked like the right car so we inquired.  These particular cars are notorious for blowing their head gaskets, so we asked Mike (our salesman) if the head gasket had been repaired.  He said that as far as he knew it was not repaired but also that the car was in good condition and passed all their quality tests. We agreed on a price over the phone and my wife and I booked one way airline tickets to Sacramento the next day with the plan of driving the car 5 hours home to L.A.  Our first pleasant surprise: Mike offered to have someone from his office pick us up at the airport.  Totally unnecessary as we could have cabbed it, but very much appreciated.  The next pleasant surprise was that the car seemed to be in spectacular condition in body, interior and test drive, despite it's high mileage.  The next surprise was not so pleasant: After shaking hands, filling out the paperwork and handing over a Cashier's Check, Mike came in from the back and told us that the head gasket on the car was in fact not good.  He noticed steam coming from the exhaust and their mechanics checked it out again, and concluded that the head gasket was soon to go.  Mike said that he could not in good conscience sell us the car in that condition.  We were, of course, devastated that we wasted so much time (and money) getting there, but we couldn't help but realize how much better off we were than for us to break down on the drive home.  It was totally not Zoom's fault that the head gasket blew on a Land Rover with over 100k miles (it literally happens to ALL of them eventually) but it was a testament to their integrity that they gave us our Cashier's Check back (there are probably plenty of car dealers who would have kept quiet and taken our money, especially because this was an 'as is' deal).  The next surprise was a big one: without my having to say a word, Mike offered to cut me a check to pay for our airfare.  He said he felt terrible about us having come out on based on his assurance that the car was ok, and he felt responsible.  Now how many car dealers would have done that?!  Not only did he not sell us a car, but he took a loss to cover our travel expenses, even though we knew full well that it was at our own risk to come to Sacramento.  So here's what you can conclude from my long story:  The folks at Zoom are honest.  They have integrity.  They have a conscience.  Having bought literally dozens of cars in my lifetime, this place stood out as an exceptional one for these very important reasons.  Based on the above I would not hesitate to buy a car from Zoom in the future.

Super shady dealership with condescending attitude that is selling poorly reconditioned vehicles like they are top quality. I came here after talking to Mammy on the phone. I clearly explained that I would be driving 2 hours to look at a vehicle and I wanted to make sure there was nothing wrong before I wasted a day and a tank of gas.

Well Mammy assured us that the vehicle was in perfect working condition. Unfortunately when we got there, what we found was far from it. The first thing I noticed was the coolant res was filled with sludgy oil milkshake. So either this truck had a blown head gasket or cracked case. Thinking it may have been residue from a past issue, I gave it a test drive. The first thing I noticed was the brakes nearly went straight to the floor. I pumped them up and they stayed mushy for the rest of the drive. Then I went to downshift from 3rd to 2nd, and the synchros grinded like they were about to drop out of the transmission.

All of this is very bad but not deserving of a review from me, except when I explained these issues to Mammy hoping he would take the truck back to his mechanic to have it fixed before pawning it off on some unsuspecting buyer, he asked another guy (I assume Mike) if he knew anything about it. The first thing Mike says is "Well it's a manual transmission." Thanks Mike, I had figure that part out. Then he says it's just what these trucks do because of the "gear ratio". At this point in the conversation, I pointed to the truck I drove there with which was an older version of the same truck with higher miles, and the exact same (but working) transmission and asked if he wanted to take a ride with me to show him he was full of sh*t. He declined.

I then mentioned the oil in the coolant and he had the balls to tell me some coolants are brown and sludgy out of the bottle. I couldn't believe my ears. At this point I just walked back to my truck while thanking them for wasting my time. I could see them in my rear-view mirror laughing about something while gesturing towards us as I drove off their lot. These guys are the classic used car dealers who are only out to make a buck by turning around polished turds. I really feel bad for whoever buys that truck from these guys as they are in for some serious headaches in the near future.

And I wouldn't put any faith in their "30 day warranty". If they are willing to lie straight to my face about things I'm looking right at, it's a safe bet their "warranty" is only as good as their word, which isn't worth much.

Mammy, my 2012 tax return is fake proof of income?  We both have attorneys dealing with our situation, i dont like this either, you should of notified me within the 10next days that you, wanted to cancel our contract, i recently found out from the finance company thats on my paper work that the financing was rescinded and when i asked amy why i was never notified she told me the dealership recinded it.... we soon will get to the bottom of this one way or another, if u think i stole your car why dobt you report it stolen

Richi P. | 2012-10-03

I highly recommend these guys!!! I got a great Suburban, good financing, and I even got lunch!!! And they've checked up after the sale to make sure I was happy. Buy a car from them. You WILL be impressed!
