Reviews on Lasher Audi

Great experience.  Mike and Josh were helpful and patient.  Price paid was very fair (particular vehicle was in high demand so I wasn't getting a phenomenal price anywhere).  Overall, I'd highly recommend the dealership based on sales experience (haven't done anything with service department yet).

I don't recall ever walking away from a car buying experience NOT feeling like I need to take a shower to remove the ubiquitous slimy residue one seems to always pick up from dealing with car sales and financing people. That is, until last Friday.

The beloved Volvo SUV was on the verge of becoming a money pit, and was at the tail end of its warranty (a warranty which, as of late, seemed to cover everything but the little things that would go wrong every couple of months). So, we started shopping for a new car. With the kid in tow, we stopped by Elk Grove Audi on our way to grab dinner. We checked some things out, no pressure.

To make a short story even shorter, we met with Miriam, a completely knowledgeable, reasonable, respectful, and professional salesperson. We left a couple hours later with a new Audi Q5, and bid the Volvo a bittersweet goodbye.

The entire process was painless. No big upsell. No slimeball tactics. No pressure. No multi-hour nightmare process. Just a good car and an amazing deal. The finance/paperwork guy was even great.

I'm looking forward to what I hope will be an equally good relationship with their service department.

While on vacation in South Lake Tahoe the week before Christmas, 2009, our Audi Allroad "Audry" needed a new right windshield wiper. For a normal car, a trip to Napa Auto Parts, or equivalent, would have sufficed, but not for Audry. She needed dealer assistance, and being from Chico, CA where there is no such dealer, I turned to the nearest Audi Dealer in Reno. No go, they were out of stock, and not getting any for a day or two. Really? No windshield wipers for an AWD adjustable ride height monster winter station wagon in snow country in December? Oh well, I guess I'll try Niello, right? Wrong. Yelp panned them so badly I couldn't call them, so I turned to Elk Grove Audi. How bad could they be, right? I mean, my sister lives in Elk Grove, and it has a sort of small town feel still, so I thought I'd give them a try. Here's what happened:

I call the parts department, and the woman there says "Yes, I have that part windshield wiper in stock. It's $21 (it's an Audi, right?)." "So, uh, it's Tuesday, and Friday is Christmas, and that's when we're driving home from South Lake Tahoe. Can you send it 2nd Day to us at our hotel?" I said. The woman at Lasher Audi then asks me to hold on, and returns to tell me that rather than shipping it UPS, they'll have their driver drop it off to the hotel where we're staying. It turns out that they're trying to build up their Audi parts biz in the Tahoe Area, and that they run a truck up their twice a week. I was stunned. How did it play out?

Well, I bought the part over the phone, and the next afternoon received a call from the valet downstairs saying that they received the wiper, and would I like it simply placed in my car. To their credit, the valets guys at Marriot's Grand Residence in South Lake Tahoe are also awesome, so the experience was really a flawless, seamless event, which rarely seems to happen.

Based on this experience, I'm having our mechanic in Chico buy parts from Lasher instead of Niello. How can I not? These guys rock, and they clearly want to earn your business.

I live in Oakland, and received unparalleled service from Scott Lasher's Elk Grove Audi team.  From the first call to Dan, who helped track down the car(s) I was looking the sales manager who picked up the negotiation and offered me the Bruce, who actually DROVE THE CAR TO OAKLAND (from Sacramento around rush hour) and took my raggedy car Scott, the owner, who called to thank me for the business.  Everyone was completely professional, knew their jobs, had communicated with their counterparts, and repeatedly thanked me for my business.  I've since called a couple times with random questions, and the level of service is unflagging.  I'd recommend them to anyone!!  (and I love my new car...)
