So I bought a Subaru from here about 3 weeks ago. It was a 2001 Legacy for just under $4000.00 total out the door. Fair price I would say. We are very happy with our buy. It is reliable and in decent condition. It has a few problems, but it is over 10 years old so that is too be expected. My only criticism is that there was a pre-existing grinding noise that I and the seller acknowledged was a problem. He thought it was the tires and said if I replaced the tires and the noise was still there that he would fix whatever the problem was that was causing the grinding noise.

Well I bought new tires and the grinding was still there. When I took it back to him to show him the noise and that the grinding was still there he tried to make it seem like I was trying to take advantage of him and get him to fix a different problem free of charge or something. I'm the buyer not the car sales man, lol.

I decided to take it Joe's Alphas & Subaru for a complete bumper to bumper inspection. They are the premier Subaru specialists in Sacramento and for just a hundred bucks they gave me a full list of my cars problems, which were mostly minor. So it turns out that the grinding noise was just some bad rotors and brakes in the front.

This was a stupid problem to have in the first place because he said he did an inspection and fixed problems on the car. But obviously if he just took off the wheels he could see the rotors were warped and needed to be replaced. I didn't even need to buy new tires. He seems like a decent guy and did fix some stuff but seems to have only done a half inspection. All I'm saying is he should do a 100% inspection so he doesn't sell you a car where he doesn't even know what the noise problem is.

He sells cars pretty cheap and is fair about that. Maybe he was just being lazy and didn't do a complete routine check like checking the brakes. So if you want a cheap fair buy, he is good. Just make sure he checks everything out. I mean not checking the brakes and wondering what a noise may be when he has a shop that he works on cars in is just lazy. A used car sale's man should do everything they can to please their customers because a happy customer is a repeat customer.

What a surprise is all that I thought about this dealer. When I first laid eyes on the location of this dealer my first thought was to find a diffrent one ASAP. However after driving nearly 300 miles that day I decided to give this place a try and I am very glad I did. After paying less that the origonal reduced price I received a Brand new battery as well. My favorite part about this whole expectancy was the quality of the work that the owner and the mechanics do to the cars that they sell. It's one thing to fix a car and it's another thing to to it right and these guys deliver. Also not a single time did I feel uncomfortable or rushed throught this whole purchase. Even after the purchase they still called two weeks later to make setting that all went well with the car and that I was still totally satisfied and I can happily say that yes I am very much so. The next time I plan on buying another car these people will be the first on my list. One thing I almost forgot to mension was how down to earth everyone at Jan's really are. I hope to visit Jan's real soon hopefully this time to buy a 2007 Infinity QX 56 in either black or white.

My husband bought a 20 year old PathFinder from Jan Auto Sales. We live in Austin, TX and while I was seriously distrusting of an out-of-state purchase, the price was amazing and the car is in excellent condition. They were very nice to work with, very honorable people, and willing to work with us on shipping and transfer of registration out-of-state. I highly recommend their business on both in and out of state purchases!

Honest guy! Honest people. Brianna was such a great help! They helped us get a car that was in our budget, and offered financing options.  We were just shopping around and after looking at the other dealerships that was around the area, no one took us seriously, and people are just ridiculous. N e ways glad we came by to Jan's Auto! No pressure, just honest people willing to help you out! We love our Corolla! Can't wait to get a for me next! We def recommend this place! Good for people who are starting over like us!
