My partner went here looking for a good deal on a Toyota sedan. They offered her $3200 for a 1993 Corolla DX, and when she mentioned that she planned to take it to a mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection, they advised against it, saying it would be a waste of money.

Hackles now raised, she took it to the best mechanic she could find (DRJ Performance on 33rd and T), who drove it around the block and came back in with a look on his face like he was Jeeves and she'd just arrived wearing turquoise spats -- in other words, pained disapproval. He told us the car needed a new catalytic converter, and there was an issue with the communication between the transmission and the distributor, and all in all he wouldn't pay more than $1500 for it, if that. The dealer had not mentioned either of these issues, and when we told him about them, he claimed he'd replaced the catalytic converter that morning.

And if that wasn't enough, my partner noticed on the drive back to the dealer that the effectiveness of the brakes had mysteriously plummeted. This place is shady as hell. I would recommend running away screaming.

Can you say SHADY? Buying a car from breadfan was the biggest mistake of my life. It broke down the next day, due to a bad starter, which they knew about! They broke the law on several occasions, begging with changing the purchase price of the vehicle so they wouldn't have to pay the DMV. Also it is state law that they offer us the option to cancel at the price of 75.00 which they offered for 525.00. Had they followed protocol and offered us the cancellation option at the right price we would have bought it, got our money back and lived happily ever after. In addition, they threw out legal receipts stating that we gave them 5,150.00. The only receipt we have is for 2,500.00 which they falsely wrote on our sales contract. Last but now least when we went to breadfan to speak to the owner he said they did us a favor by PRETENDING to lower the sales price, he refused to give us an actual receipt of our purchase and then four days after the car was sold to us......... the add on said they had updated the add for the Car we bought and changed the price from 4,495.00 to 2,499.00 pretty weird when the car was already sold to change the price right? Oh one more thing this morning we took the car to our mechanic, only to find a torn CV boot? Dont you think if they properly inspected the car they would have clearly seen that? Which they claim on their website they do full inspections . I feel businesses like these should be punished to the maximum limits and even closed down. they give car dealers a bad name and we are going to take definite legal action. Anyone who is thinking about buying a vehicle from Bread fan motors please be aware, their cars are cheap just like them! They are scam artists and greedy enough to break the law for a couple bucks.
