Reviews on About New Auto Sales

My wife and I had a wonderful car buying experience.  We had all kinds of reservations about looking, but Jeff and Nima put our fears to rest.  We were able to test drive the one we liked, without the high-pressure sales approach. (I was all ready for the "What's it going to take to get you in this car" line, and it never happened.)

About New Auto Sales is currently specializing in 5-10 year old Tahoes, Suburbans and Yukons.  Their standards for what they put on their lot are pretty strict; we were pleased to see the selection and condition of the cars on the lot.

We were able to negotiate the final deal over the phone (another level of comfort for me) and the signing and pickup went smoothly and according to plan.

We're loving our GMC Yukon XL, and will definetely return for any future vehicle purchases!

I just had the best car buying experience less than an hour ago and have to give these guys a review.

After weeks of researching online and looking at lots we narrowed our check list down to two cars, both of which were at About New. We did our due diligence and were pre-approved for a loan and brought the NADA Blue Book report for both cars with us. We arrived on the lot and were greeted by Nima. He asked us what we were looking for and we told him the two we had in mind. He politely stepped aside and let us give them a once over without interfering or interjecting. After our test drive we were sure we wanted to talk financing. So he again politely stepped aside and let us talk. We quickly decided we were going to make an offer, there was no question.

Here's the best part - The car (2005 Chevy Tahoe Z71) was already priced below blue book value and we were pre-approved for less than the asking price, not including taxes/title/fees. Previously we had decided that if they didn't take the offer, it would be okay, there wouldn't be much else we could do but go back to the drawing board and begin our search again elsewhere.  We presented the offer to Nima and he proposed it to the owner Jeff. Without hesitation he came back with a deal we couldn't pass up. Jeff dropped the price even more and honored the pre-approval so we were able to cover taxes/title/fees! We were stunned that there was no haggling involved. And to top it off - Jeff had already bought new cap covers for the wheels but they hadn't arrived, he offered to mail them to us when they arrive. That's going the extra mile.

From the moment we looked at their inventory online, to walking on the lot, to driving our new car home we had the best car buying experience, hands down. Their inventory is picked with high standards and their friendly staff and no haggle financing is deserving of 10 stars if I could. I would recommend anyone shopping for an SUV to go see these guys.

I bought a 99 Civic from Jeff and with me being a Civic enthusiast I KNEW what to look for in the car  I KNEW how much they should go for and I KNEW what to avoid.  I looked at plenty of dealerships and from what they were telling and showing me I knew they didn't have a clue.  I went to Jeff a couple of times before I bought mine.  I kept coming back to the Civic on his lot.  the only thing I didn't like was the rims.  after talking to Jeff PLENTY of times about his Civic that he had I ended up buying it.  He could tell I wasn't impressed with the rims that were on it.  HE OFFERED TO SWAP THEM OUT AT NO CHARGE!  even more amazing was that he offered that AFTER I had bought the car.  He didn't have to go that extra step but he did!  When that car got totaled I went straight back to Jeff to look at another car!  Now I am looking for another car but this time for my son.  Not only would I go back to Jeff in a heartbeat...........I have gone back to him  TWICE now!  Bottom line his prices are very fair, he treated me with respect and his vehicles are very sound.

Ironically I had the same issue about plates that Yvonne did however Jeff took care of my paperwork no problem and I received my plates in a timely manner

and as for the other guy from SEAL BEACH  someone from Southern California came all the way up to Sac to buy a car!!!!!!!! wow guess Jeff really does have good prices to draw a crowd from so cal :)

I have had great experiences with Jeff, Kyle and all of the other staff at About New. I have purchased 2 cars from them (an Acura and a Jeep) in the last 5 years and had great results with both cars.  Jeff was extremely flexible with me during my first purchase, in which I was a first time buyer and financing the car on my own minimal income.  I asked a million questions and looked at a dozen cars before I finally decided on one.  He took my beat-up Civic in trade and was reasonably flexible on the price of the Integra.  The Jeep has been nothing short of amazing.  It has survived my totally abusive behavior and has been inexpensive to maintain.  I found Jeff and his salespeople to be warm, friendly, and helpful- so refreshing in a situation where you are expecting to feel pressured :)  Bottom line: when the Jeep finally gives out, I would totally trust Jeff again to put me in a reliable car.

We bought a beautiful car in 2011.  It was immaculate inside and out and my dream car (Lexus SUV).  We were very pleased with the price and very happy with this car.

If I could give it zero stars I would. There is nothing good I can say about this place. I was unfortunate enough to purchase a car from these scumbags, so I'm hoping this review might deter other buyers.

I bought a car from them in NOVEMBER of '08.
It is now nearing the end of MARCH '09.

Jeff (the owner of this dump) is a dirty lying car salesman. He claims that the plates and tags were sent out weeks after the purchase. When I returned to tell him I had not received them, he had me fill out paperwork to request another copy from the DMV. I asked him that once they received that, to please keep it in the office and call me when it was there, and I would pick it up.

ANOTHER MONTH GOES BY...and that brings us to today. I called him this morning  to see if its just sitting in the office. HE LIES TO ME, and tells me my boyfriend went in a couple days ago and said "Forget it, we'll go to the DMV ourselves" After some words were exchanged he said "You can come pick up a copy of the registration to take to the DMV" We get there and he has us wait in the sun for 30 minutes just to come back out and say "I'm sorry, I don't seem to have a copy of the registration, you can just go to the DMV and sort this out there"
