My wife and I were in the market to buy a new truck for me when we came across A-1 Auto Wholesale and saw their ad for a 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with 113,000 miles. Their internet price was awesome for this truck, WAY below KBB.

We made the trip to the lot and were greeted kindly (and politely!) by one of their salesmen. He was not at all pushy, and was very respectful. We took the truck for a test drive and I loved it. We sat down with David, who I'll have more to say about, and did the numbers and he got us a very low interest rate with an awesome payment amount. Very smooth transaction, no BS and no gimmicks. It was awesome. In and out of there within an hour.

I was driving my new truck home when I came to a stop close to where I live, and when I pushed on the gas.. I felt a jerk when the truck shifted at 10mph. Got home and did some research, all signs pointed to a slipping transmission. I called David right away and he had his mechanic call me back, who said I could bring it in as soon as I could and they'd take care of it - which they did, and more. They even gave me a 2010 Scion xB to drive around while they fixed my truck. Awesome, just awesome.

The next day I was driving home from work and the check engine light came on, and my DIC indicated that my fuel cap was loose (common issue with the '06 - worn out gas cap). So I went down to PepBoys and bought a new one and had them read the code for me. Sure enough, I had 2 codes; 1 for the transmission component failure (slipping) and 1 for the EVAP (gas cap).

Naturally I was very concerned but David assured me they'd get everything straightened out and fixed. I dropped the truck off that Thursday and kept in contact with David, who gave me his personal cell phone number. He even gave me a 2010 Scion xB to drive around while they fixed my truck. Awesome, just awesome. He called me the following week and let me know that he had taken the truck to 2 different mechanics and explained the work he had done on the truck. Rebuilt the valve body and the torque converter - no more slips or jerks.

I picked the truck up today, and to my surprise, they threw in a brand new touch screen stereo system as well as a brand new gas cap straight from the Chevrolet dealership. The truck drives beautifully now, and I couldn't be happier.

Everyone at A-1 went out of their way to help us out and get the truck fixed. Their communication throughout the week was awesome, and their customer service is off the charts. I cannot express how grateful I am for all of their help and sincerity. I could not ask for anything more; not once were they pushy, rude or even the slightest bit unprofessional. If you're looking to buy a good used car and don't want the hassle of the typical car salesman, this is where you need to look.

My wife and I would like to send out a HUGE thank you to everyone at A-1. We will definitely spread the word about you guys and all that you did for us. Again, thank you so very much, and we are beyond appreciative of all your hard work for us.

Easy to deal with. Straight talk. Car was exactly as advertised and as expected. Very competitive price. Remember. This is an auto wholesaler. No manual, often no spare key, or service records. That's why the prices are so good. Don't expect them to be like a new car dealer. Good news; way less BS!!

We have been looking for a super clean, Denali for a while now and came across what we thought was the perfect vehicle at A-1 Auto. The pictures were uh-mazing and the car super super clean. It had low miles and promised to be a great vehicle.

I contacted A-1 and spoke with Brian who was very professional, courteous and helpful. We told him we wanted the vehicle and were located in the Bay Area. He said he would hide the keys and we could come down the following evening to pick it up.

Unfortunately we weren't the only ones who thought it was a great vehicle so when Brian called me the next morning it was to tell me the vehicle had been sold. To say I was upset would be an understatement. We had planned our day with work to go to Sacramento - about two hours away in traffic. I was not pleased.

The owner returned my call. I feel strongly that he put himself in my shoes as a consumer and wanted to do whatever he could to make things right with us. He explained their process and informed me that he would be talking about this issue at their next in house meeting as there was a communication issue with holding vehicles.

He was willing to find me the vehicle I wanted at no cost or obligation. He offered us an amazing deal if we did work with him, basically he was willing to go above and beyond.

I looked through the inventory at A-1 just in case but I was unable to find another Denali that fit our specs. When they told me the vehicle sold I called Big Daddy and he found me another one that I actually liked even better. It was the exact color I wanted and with the grill that I really wanted - plus it was one year newer with 10k miles less on it.

We were prepared, ready and excited to get our vehicle that day so I told the owner that although I wish I could work with him, we had found another vehicle we were already scheduled to go see.

You would think he would stop there. He did not. The owner said he wished us the best with our new vehicle with the other dealer and he was going to send us a gift card for me and Big Daddy to go to dinner together. I really didn't think he would send it especially since he didn't get our business. But he did.

With Yelp and other reputational sites, the consumer now has a voice and it can directly affect your business in a good way or a bad way. Not once did the owner ask me for feedback on Yelp, or imply he was looking for something in return. He wanted to make things right with us and I truly appreciate that.

We will be in the market for another vehicle soon and will be reaching out to Brian and Kevin when we do. Thank you for raising the bar for car dealers. I've attached a pic as well so you can see what we saw in the mail ourselves :)

I was looking for a 2003-2005 4Runner Limited for over a month and A-1 listed a 2003 on the evening of 3/12 and I was driving home in my new 4Runner on 3/13. Brian was great. I live about 1.5 hours from their lot and Brian was kind enough to talk me through the deal on the phone as to not waste my time in driving to him if the deal wasnt going to work out.

The deal itself took less than 30 minutes which i was impressed with as this was my first "dealer" purchase as opposed to private party.

Upon arrival the car was cleaned and ready for a test drive. Once we set evrything up Brian has the guys completely detail the car to a full shine before letting me leave.

He was very low key, above board on everything and a pleasure to work with. When im in the market for a new car I will defenitely be reaching out to Brian to see what he can put together for me. I highly recommend calling Brian over at A-1 Auto Wholesale and I know you wont be dissapointed!

We had been in the market for a new SUV. I wanted a new Yukon XL Denali or a Suburban LTZ, we had been looking around for a few months and everything looks great online until you get to the dealership and find that the cars pics make it look nicer than what it is, and you find that the previous owners had not taken very good care of the vehicle. But when found this dealership online, my fiance went and looked at this Suburban I had been eyeing, came home and told me "don't go, because you will not leave there without that vehicle" and so, I went and looked, took a test drive, fell in love, and needless to say...it was parked in my driveway the very next day!
Brian was absolutely superb!! Phenomenal customer service. I even had an issue with a sensor on the vehicle and they fixed it for me (ordered a BRAND NEW GM part not a reman either). When we are in the market for another vehicle we will definitely be going to A-1.  You will definitely not be disappointed coming here. their prices are reasonable, the selection is great, and the customer service is SUPERB!!

I bought a Prius in June 2013 from Brian and he was awesome!  Their prices are great and I left knowing I got a great car at a great price.  The tires were showing wear, so Brian put 4 new tires on it for me.  (no extra charge)  Not only that, but he got me an awesome interest rate even with my past credit problems. Oh, and the whole transaction took 30 mins start to finish.  It was the smoothest and fastest car buying experience I've had in 30 years of car buying. Recently,  I've been looking for a car for my 18 year old son and he has gone above and beyond trying to find a decent car for him.  We are still searching, but I know that he wouldn't sell me something that wasn't mechanically sound and at a fair price.  I would buy from A-1 again in an instant and have recommended them to many.

These guys are great! I've purchased 3 vehicles from A-1 so far. A 2000 Camry, a 2009 Camry and a 2010 RAV4. I've been extremely happy with all them and the prices I paid.
My partner has bought two cars from them, a Camry and a Prius.
A friend who lives in the Bay Area has purchased a Ranger & Corolla and a workmate of his in Santa Cruz also came to Sacto to buy.
In addition my partner's son, two of her best friends and one of her best friends son's have all purchased cars or trucks and everyone has thanked us for telling us about this dealership. I could go on but I think you get the picture. We and anyone we have told about A-1 has had nothing but a positive experience. I've never written a Yelp review before but I feel I had to this time. I just wanted to let everyone know how amazing this dealership has been to me and my family. From our sales man Keyvan to the owner Amir.  We bought a 04 Camry and got an amazing price.  The sale was not a hassle like previous times when I have bought cars from reputable dealers like Chevy and Volkswagon. I would highly recommend A1 Auto Wholesale to all yelpers and friends.

This is an update from j-me N.

So we went to court and lost.

Reason why: a1 did not even document that they checked the check engine light. They documented the brake job on a receipt in PENCIL!!! They obviously turned the light off without a proper inspection knowing the car had a cracked head the whole time.
The owner of a1 showed up without the sales rep or mechanic in which whom I dealt with, the judge offered another court date to subpoena the other two. I had to decline being I had no money to continue with another court date. All I needed was a confession from either the sales rep or mechanic.
When it was all said and done, I called the sales rep on her personal cell phone and asked if she remembered the check engine light.. And what do you know??

She said " YES"!!!! She remembered everything about that day! I was her very first sale!!! I was hard to forget. She actually was very kind and hadn't a clue that the in-house mechanic did a-1 auto a favor in selling me a LEMON!!!!

Bottom-line, don't buy anything from a-1 auto wholesale, THEY ARE CROOKS!!!!!

This was the sales staff... Everything seemed ok for the first couple of weeks until we took the car in to flush the transmission and were notified that both front CV axles were broken (and never mentioned when they just changed the breaks on the SAME axles!!!!) a month later we found out the check engine light that was supposedly checked out but reset after our test drive was due to a crack in the cylinder head and the mechanics simply put in one new spark plug to cover it up! We have put a total of over $5000 in repairs that were known but undisclosed problems since November 2010 and the dealership will take NO responsibility!!!!! Next step is a lawsuit! Wish us luck???

WOW! I walk in the door and ask about a vehicle I saw in ad the day before, the first guy says "he doesn't think it had arrived yet". Then he ask the other  guy about it (I think it was the owner) he says " it is in the back as it came in last night around 7pm". I asked if it was the same vehicle because I saw pictures of it in front of there sign that were taken well BEFORE 7pm??? He went off completely offended that I would even consider buying from him, and blah , blah, blah.

Bottom line is the first words from both these guys were BS. CLUELESS and SHARK! There moto on their site states "You can trust A-1 Auto Wholesale because we've been in the business for over 15 years. We work hard to offer our customers the best in pre-owned cars. We don't just want your business today... we want you to come back in the future, too." I DIDN"T EXPERIENCE ANYTHING REMOTELY CLOSE TO THIS.

I recommend looking else where. Sorry for the lengthy read.

Awesome prices, probably the best place to look in the West/Southwest for that 2-4 year-old Toyota/Lexus, or luxury cars like BMW, Porsche, etc. They go to the SF auto auction and find incredible deals. I dealt with Chand and Mike and they're great guys.

I flew out there in January to look for a Toyota 4runner. Starting in December, I'd looked in Texas (washed titles), AZ (too expensive), CO (too few) and L.A. I couldn't find anything for a decent price. Until I found A-1. Anyway, I got a 2004 4-Runner with every option, for about 3-4k less than I would've paid in Phoenix. I drove it back home from NorCal and the truck's been flawless since.

A-1 Auto might have the best prices on the West Coast, and certainly on Fulton Ave. Check them out for Toyota/Lexus cars. Or if you want something $25k+, I'm sure they'll have a great deal on it.
