Reviews on Used Cars Los Angeles

Chris is really great. He runs a great business and will help you the best he can. very easy to buy a car from this guy. Will not hassle you like other places. This does come at a price as his cars tend to sell for more than other places. Negotiate and know what the car is worth.

In regard to the bad reviews here, understand it's important to do your homework on any used car. Never buy a used car without having a trusted mechanic give it a thorough inspection. If you don't get what you expected, it's your own fault.

I really love my toyota highlander! !! We had a couple of fixer upers on it but that's how it is with used cars. We had an issue with the mechanic but chris dealt with the issue professionally. He is after all very considerate and sincere. I had miss interpreted him at first due to miss communication. He took the initiative to get a hold of me and to hear my concerns. After that he solved our problem! 100% customer service!!! Thank you chris for hearing us out and taking care of business fairly.

My sales transaction at Used Cars Los Angeles was a truly positive and customer friendly experience. The salesman is professional and trustworthy. The price he quoted was very fair and the transaction was painless. I would recommend Used Cars Los Angeles to anyone to sell his or her car. Thank you again!

I just had a great experience with Chris at Used Cars LA! He is a true professional and an honest, unpretentious, man. I found out that my 1998 Avalon needed some extensive work and decided that I would rather put that money into another car. I always buy used and I prefer older cars. Chris had a great selection and went out of his way to meet my expectations, questions, and concerns. In the end, though reasonably priced and mechanically sound, I decided that I don't want to part with my car just yet. I have gotten quite use to no car payments, low insurance, and the great way it drives. When the day comes that I HAVE to make a change, I will certainly go see Chris and know, without a doubt, that I will be well taken care of. Thank you for taking so much time with me!

So I decided I wanted to buy a car, but I knew my credit wouldn't get it. So I said the heck with it! Let's do this. Used Cars L.A. had the car I really wanted. (Til this day I have not yet one exactly like mine). Nervous about my credit, I came with my down payment. The salesman name Chris greeted me as if I was already his friend. We looked over the car,  test drove it, feel in love with the car and proceeded to start the paperwork. Now I'm really nervous. Chris does his thing and lo & behold I was approved. Not to mention he even bought me a cup of coffee as we waited for the approval. After I was approved, he made sure the car was serviced to my liking. Best part of it all while I was waiting for the car to be serviced. We kicked it like friends do. At no point did I ever feel like I was being sold, persuaded, manipulated etc. He kept it real. Not only that we still keep in touch. I recommend checking out Used Cars L.A. if your looking into buying a car.

Chris at Used Cars LA contacted me within a few days after I expressed interest in one of his vehicles through the Car Guru site. I'd been tracking several cars and his vehicles looked in great shape, for the right price, and for what I could only afford. When I came by to check it out, Chris had the car parked in front, ready to test drive. I was relieved the lot was small. This set me at ease. I was also impressed with how the car looked - very clean with a bright finish, even more striking than the photos he had posted on Car Guru. Very good tires happening too. Having had driven one just like it for 14 years, it handled and sounded like a solid machine. After a quick spin I was ready to make the purchase. Our transaction together also ran quite smooth. To my surprise, Chris also shared with me the complete CarFax reports which confirmed my hunch that this car was in excellent condition, inside, outside and under the hood. In the trunk was a very good spare. Can't say enough about Chris, his professionalism and his family business. I've seen people try to high pressure the salesmen before and vice versa, but this was a smooth experience at Used Cars LA right from the start.

Chris has sold 2 of my cars for me. He was very professional, honest, and knowledgeable about how to get my car sold fast. He told me upfront how much his selling fee was, and got me my portion of the money as soon as my car sold. I would definitely recommend Used Cars LA if you are looking to sell or buy your pre-owned car fast!

I needed to get my husband a car. His was a gas guzzler and needed more and more repairs.  I looked around at a few dealers, Craigslist and CarMax. Then I heard about Chris and Used Cars LA from our son's friend.

We aren't car people particularly, but knew we wanted something clean, economical and reliable. I contacted Chris, went to the lot to drive a few cars. I really liked a Prius he had, but the price was more than we cared to spend.

He made some other recommendations and then started searching for the right car for us at the right price.  He is easy to work with and no pressure at all. As it turned out he found us another Prius at a lower price.  Since it really was the car I wanted, we spent more than planned, but not beyond our comfort level.

We couldn't be happier with it. Chris has many years experience and made sure it was a good car. He grew up in the car business so has at least a 10+ year advantage.

I took the car on a weekend trip and am so pleased. My husband loves it too. It is a great car.

A headlight burned out. (or maybe none of us noticed it?)  Chris said no problem, bring it by and he will replace it.  I appreciate his willingness to help even after the sale.

I am very happy with the entire search and buying experience so can easily recommend Chris. He will take care of you too.  We stayed in touch with texts, phone and email throughout the search.

These guys took care of my car for a great price -- it's hard to find an "honest" person in the business, but have found someone here.

Very friendly and would definitely use again.

I have been looking and saving up for a car for the past few months and I had my mind set on a 1st generation Toyota Tacoma. I had spent a little over a month looking on autotrader, craigslist, and driving around my local used car dealerships, before finding the car that suited me best.

I was pretty set on buying a truck I found in Arizona, but before leaving for my credit union (to get a loan) I decided to check autotrader ONE last time. Lucky for me, I saw a new truck had been added, and that it was on my way to get financing.

I stopped in, met the owner Gale and his son Christopher, and within 10 minutes I KNEW i had found a great place to buy a car, and to top it off they had the EXACT car I had been looking for with LOWER miles, and in better condition! Not to mention it was at an incredibly competitive price.

I decided then and there that this was the truck for me and told them to take the "For Sale" sign off, that it was already sold! I was instantly approved for a very low APR at my financial institution, and thought I would have my new truck within 24 hours.....Man was I wrong.

My companies current accountant decided to pursue work elsewhere, and left without updating months of financial information. Since this was my first time getting a loan I didn't really know what to expect or what I needed to show my credit union. I quickly learned that the information that I had from my accountants records were patchy at BEST. They told me that they couldn't approve me with incomplete financial records... The excitement that I had felt about buying my first truck were slowly crumbling before my eyes.

After talking to Gale, he assured me that there was nothing to worry about, and that we would find a way to make it work. Suffice to say it took over a week, but I finally managed to get my loan approved through a different bank, all thanks to Gale's recommendation. I have to admit there were quite a few times during that week where I honestly thought I wasn't going to be able to buy the truck of my dreams at a price I could afford.

I have worked in sales my entire life and this is a place where I didn't feel like I was being "sold". Chris and Gale were just a couple of guys trying to help me find the vehicle that best suited my needs, at a price that wasn't going to leave me hungry. I am extremely thankful that I decided to check autotrader "one last time."

After I picked up the truck I brought it to a toyota specialist "Lextech" that I had found through reading yelp reviews. After a detailed inspection they confirmed what I had hoped, that the car was in AMAZING condition, and they could not find anything wrong with it. After the inspection a couple of the guys asked what i paid for it, and when I told them their only response was "MAN, YOU SCORED"

I recommend this place 100%, Give these guys a call and if they don't have what your looking for... They'll find it!

We almost purchased a used car at this friendly establishment. But alas, we had to reconsider once we realized what the finance terms/ repayment terms were. But, I still wanted to write a review in regards to Christopher's service skills and very generous behavior at the end. When the deal fell through, on our end.

Christopher and I had been in touch for a few weeks in regards to purchasing a car. He was always easy to reach and thorough in his explanations by email. He assured us that he could get us into a proper car, even with not so stellar credit. And he almost did! So bravo for that.

We hit a few bumps along the way though. We went in on a Saturday and settled on a car. He asked us to put down a couple hundred to insure that we would be purchasing through his lot, pending approval on the application. He said we would hear back in a few hours (but aren't finance co's usually closed on Saturdays?). But we received no call. So we called him. He said he was very busy with clients and that no word had come yet. So we let it go.

The next day was Sunday and he did call to apologize for not phoning back (mind you, this was Labor Day weekend, so we suspect he was having a good time somehwere and perhaps put work aside for a moment, which we understand totally- we just wish it wasn't on our deal). So we started to lose hope and steam.

From then on, we had very good communication with him. We were informed that the finance co's were closed on Labor Day. Fair enough. He called us early the next day to let us know that we would have an answer in a few hours. He did call us within a few and gave us good news. We were approved and the car was ours. But the truth is, after hearing the very firm terms (high interest rate and short repayment period) we started to have second thoughts. We also worried that the car was not under any warranty. I think we basically had enough days to really think about what was happening. So we decided to wait on it. We told Christopher that there was no deal. He was very upset but not rude. We said that we would like a refund on the deposit amount. He did re-iterate that he was upset that the deal fell through after all of his hard work. We understood but at the end of the day, it is our money and we have to do what we feel is best.

There was another deal breaker. The deposit amount seemed to be in flux. First, it was set for $1000, and that was okay with us. But then later it jumped to $1250 and that didn't sit well with my husband and I. I know it seems like small change in the scheme of car things... but it's the principle- if you give your word, why must it change so. It felt shaky.

So I went over to get the $200 deposit back. He did not reprimand, glare, or give me any hard time at all. Basically, he didn't act like a bitch, which was what I expected (Oh me of little faith). I was with my ma, she felt very bad as well. He just politely handed over the money, definitely bummed but not rude to us. I felt pretty bad, that's the truth. I would like to work with him again in the future after building our credit so we can do this proper and smooth. Good down payment, good terms. No problem.

Christopher is a very nice guy all-around. Professional when it came down to it. I am pretty sure he can get you into a rig if you want one. Seems to work magic. But, go and find out for yourselves!

We bought a Toyota Prius from Chris last week.  When we showed up, he had the paper work ready to go, and the car was clean.  What impressed me the most was that Chris put principle over profit.  Before we purchased the car, Chris had the mechanic go through the car, and the car had a couple of minor issues.  Rather than sell me the car "as is", he had the small leaks fixed, but still honored our agreed upon price, cutting into his profit.  You don't find that very often in the car business.  Chris earned my trust and deserves yours too.

I sold my 1990 Ford Festiva on Saturday of last week and was in NEED of a low cost reliable car to get me back and forth to work.  Mind you, I "put the cart before the horse" so to speak and just like always had to make something happen - QUICK!  In my search for used car dealers who who accept a not so great credit score - I stumbled upon Used Cars Los Angeles.

When I found the car I had to have I contacted Chris on Sunday morning and left a message.  He called me back within minutes and I told him my situation.  He not only was a "down to earth" kind of guy he was thinking ahead to help me expedite the process.  He sent me a credit app to get pre approved and I was VERY satisfied with his customer service skills.  GO CHRIS!  Monday morning rolls around and Chris is still contacting me to get the necessary items for the financing.  In a mater of a couple of hours I was approved and on my way to pick up my new beauty.

When I got there all the paperwork was prepared and the car looked fantastic and was ready to go.  They gave me all the CARFAX info and had their master mechanic explain all the ins and outs of my car.

The  bottom line is folks, if you want someone who will look you in the eye and say he has your best interest in mind, I highly recommend Used Cars with Chris.  The only thing in life that you have in your "word" and if you want a trustworthy "family" run dealership - go here.

Can't wait to cruise PCH in my new Miata!  Thanks Chris - see you soon!
