I too had horrible experience. I did call and got a quote but did not commit. Said I would think about it. I thought the price a little low.

Then some guy proceeds to blow up my work phone and leave rude messages about whether or not I want them to come get it. Like really?? Was, rude and snide about it, "Its not like this is a new car. Want us to come or not we've left you like 10 messages!"

Umm no. You left one. On my obviously work voice mail. Which clearly states, I am out of the office. You did call about 10 times though. OVER THE WEEKEND. So no, not gonna answer. After the voice mail he left this morning(monday), chastising me and calling me a loser for not returning their multiple calls I felt compelled to let him know that NO I will not be doing business with you. He had the nerve to call AGAIN and tell me to never call his company again. Umm no problem. Gotcha.  LOL Holy Cow, what a group of stellar professionals.

I did however end up selling my car to Ecology. They were easy to work with, on time and the price was fair and when I told them my tires were less than 6 weeks old, they said "keep them, we'll haul your junk without them and won't change what we pay you" SCORE! Another couple hundred bucks for those on craigslist and I made out pretty well.

No.  Just no.
This is step one before contacting the Better Business Bureau besides arleady filing a complaint with a "manager" there.

So essentially, I called for a quioe and described exactly the enitre amount of damage to my unsalvageable car. All details.  Every single one, not just "Oh, my bumper fell off," as I was later told were the notes on my report.
Yeah, I was given a quote.  Not unreasonable.  Was told I'd be called back in 2 hrs to pick it up.  3hrs later, I received a call that the buyer was still an hour away.

When I arrived to meet him, he said that I had LIED when describing my car, the notes they had were that it was just the bumper (WHO SALVAGES A CAR OVER A BUMPER, I MEAN, REALLY.  REALLY?!?!!?!).  When he offered almost nothing for it, I said I was not interested.  He said "Well, I drove 65 miles for this."  Guess who's problem that is? NOT MINE.  (Rusty's is advertised as being local to Los Angeles, so.......also a falsehood if 65 miles is a hardship and is to be used as leverage against a customer.)

Huge slap in the face. HUGE. Pretty much figuratively spitting in my face, I guess.  I was offered $100, which the guy said was more than he should even offer.

$100.

To not deal with it, I took it & have continued on with my life, ensuring that I post/contact/spread word about my horrific experience.  I would absolutely stay away from this business.

The process is:
1) caller gets a quote & accepts it
2) meets buyer who places blame on the caller/seller/VICTIM for "lying about the description" of the damage
3) place seller/victim in uncomfortable position
4)take advantage of this instance to offer hundreds of $$$ less than was quoted.
5) profit from individuals vulnerability
