Reviews on Fasttrack Merchants

I'm reading a lot of negative reviews.
Well...I had a great experience.

They were my last resort when all of the other rentals were denying me.
They got me into my car within 10 minutes of standing in line and were very friendly. While I must say they seemed a little off, I got my car, used it just fine, and returned it with no problems. As promised, I received my $350 deposit just fine.

I plan on renting again from them later this month. Let's see if it goes as well the second time.

No complaints from me for the first time rental.

This business is primarily listed as "Nu Car Rentals" and I have also left a negative review along with 30 other negative reviews (some of which are hidden) by Yelp.  Please review ALL the reviews before doing business with this company.

If I could rate this company a ZERO, I would.  This is by far the shadiest car rental place I've ever rented from. I have filed another complaint with the hotel management AND the Better Business Bureau.  I urge others to do the same.

This is what happened to me: I rented a car from a new car rental company called "Nu Car Rentals d/b/a FastTrack" located in the Four Points Sheraton at LAX.  When I rented the car, there were many angry customers that had been waiting for hours to pick up their cars and many customers left.  I unfortunately stayed & waited over 90 minutes to get my car as they had "ran out of cars," so they had to drive one over from the dealership. The car was dirty on the outside as it had been sitting on the lot & so I did not notice any damage on the car at that time.  The car rental place had hardly any workers, and they had a lot of very strange paperwork to fill out that is not normal for a car rental place. Instead of just photocopying my insurance & drivers license, they had me fill out separate piece of paper with my deductible, my coverage for liability, and said I could not take the car out of the state despite unlimited mileage, which was not disclosed in advance.

When I returned the car, I was late for my flight at LAX.  I left the car keys as there was a long line of people and they could not wait on me.  30 minutes later they called and said I had damaged the car.  I got in a cab, paid to go back to the car rental place to discuss this with the manager.  The gentlemen at the counter refused to help me, refused to give me the managers or owner's information on a business card OR on a piece of paper and said he would not help me unless I waited in line.  I went out, looked at the car and saw some small scratches once I wiped the dirt off the car with my hands.  I do not believe I am responsible for this and believe the Nu Car rentals is asking for customers deductibles so they can file fake claims for damages that were already on the car.  By refusing to give me the managers name, I feel the company was very shady.  When I returned to the location, there were more customers yelling at the car company just like they were when I rented the vehicle.  Now they are filing a false claim with my insurance for body work damage.

This is the shadiest car rental service I've ever dealt with, and by refusing to give me the manager's or owners information at the time of return, I am telling my insurance not to pay this claim.

Now it makes sense; I wondered why they were asking for all this extra information such as how much my deductible was, and now I know that it was so that they could file false claims.  They also did not disclose in advance that the car could not be driven in any other states despite unlimited mileage.  I paid a cab to drive all the way back over to the car rental place, only to be told I would not be helped unless I waited another hour in line, which would have forced me to miss my plane.  I asked to be waited on before I left LAX and drove over and they said they would "show me" the damage, and then refused to wait on me when I arrived, knowing that I had a plane to catch.

To deny a customer the written information of the manager or owner when asked for is not right. I have also alerted the hotel management to their bad business practices as well since eventually I'm sure their business will reflect poorly on the hotel, which looked like a nice hotel.
