Reviews on Beverly Hills Car Club

Obviously it's important to ask questions about the history of a used car, but it's even more important with Beverly Hills Car Club than any other dealership or individual I've ever encountered. They won't volunteer any information about a car unless you ask specifically, and even then, they avoid certain questions.

I placed a bid on a vintage car they had posted on eBay, this is what the ad said about the car in it's entirety: "1975 Ferrari 308 GT4 in black with tan interior. Beautiful color combination. 47,369 on the odometer. Becoming very collectible. Excellent original car at a great price."

Note how they're boasting the low mileage and that it's an "excellent original car." Far from it. After closer examination of the photos the interior looked filthy, one of the door speakers was kicked in, the drivers seat was ripped, the engine looked filthy, and the entire under carriage looked rusted--especially the exhaust. So, I sent them an email inquiring about the history of the car. Specifically, I asked if it had been sitting in water and if it runs or drives.

Here's their response, in it's entirety (spelling/grammar not corrected): "We acquire this car on the 11th of this month from the District of Columbia. Currently, this car is a non-running and we recommend an engine out service to the new owner."

A non-running Ferrari that's going to require an engine-out service. Apparently they didn't think that was worth mentioning in the listing. However, its low mileage and "excellent original car" was. This certainly doesn't meet my definition of excellent. And they didn't even address the the water/rust issue.

Needless to say, I canceled my bid. These guys are obviously trying to find gullible buyers that they can trick into buying their garbage. They aren't honest, in fact, they're deliberately deceitful. I'll never buy anything from them as they have proven themselves completely untrustworthy.

Very pleased that they were accommodating, and gave me hospital rates. Wonderful breakfast, quiet rooms

Went to Beverly Hills Car Club with my great-nephew and had the great fortune to meet Oliver Moseby. What an auto expert! He has a passion for his profession, a knowledge that is off the charts -- and best, he was so generous with his time, explaining to my 13-yr.-old nephew the dos and don'ts of restoring a classic car. If you go there, ask for Oliver and you won't be disappointed.

All I can say is WOW, what an incredible place and the staff was so helpful.

If you are interested in classic cars you MUST go here.

I took my girlfriend to look at a few cars and we had such a nice time. It was like going to a museum of classic cars.

5 star on this place!

Will be back soon to get my dream car.

After following it on Instagram (@beverlyhillscarclub) for so long, I finally visited Beverly Hills Car Club; it was everything I'd hoped for! The place is a mecca for #ClassicCar enthusiasts. Everyone there is genuinely friendly and immensely knowledgable. I was shown around Oliver M., one of the salesmen. He made my day when he let me jump into one of their #Jaguar #XK120 #roadsters. It was a great experience. Pay these guys a visit-they're cool!

I was asked to go see a car by an acquaintance in the UK. BHCC had failed to mention the car had been in a flood (Sandy?). There was silt inside the gauges, and filling the ignition key slot and the car smelled like a swamp. I was amazed they would fail to mention any of these things.

first of all the name is way off the mark.  Beverly Hills Car Club is no where near Beverly Hills (this should be the first sign that they don't tell you the truth).  Second, the pictures taken by them show the car much nicer than actual car.  So they get you down to east LA and waste your time.  Third, you have to keep calling to get someone on the phone and if you e-mail, no one responds.  They don't tell you the truth about the car's condition and even hide facts that do know.

I had a deal with the owner Alex for a 1957 MB and agreed on the price.  He kept on putting me off for weeks stating that the car is not ready yet.  Finally, after calling and leaving voice mails for him every day, he said that the car if worth more now.  So it is the old bait and switch.

they say used car salesman are bad.  But they are the worst.

Sean Porrazzo
Oliver Moseby

On behalf of my client and colleague, I started dealing with Beverly Hills Car Club in 2011 when searching for classic Jaguars and other antique British cars. My initial conversations took place by phone, speaking with Mr. Sean Porrazzo, who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in helping me understand the qualities of the cars I was inquiring about. After many follow up calls, I made an appointment to meet him at Beverly Hills Car Club's massive facility and garage near Downtown Los Angeles. From the moment I was greeted by Mr. Sean Porrazzo, to the time I left their place, I was treated with High Touch customer service and respect. Sean was patient with me and taught me much about the vehicles and their condition. He was honest and open about the history of each car and also provided many technical and mechanical details. While I did not find the Right Car on this first visit, Sean made sure to create a very detailed profile about what I was searching for. Within days of setting up my client profile, I started receiving emails about new shipment of cars coming in. Sean remained Top of Mind, even though I went to a competitor to buy a classic Jaguar Coupe.

Sean continued to reach out to me with news about all the vehicles coming in. He also introduced me to one of his colleagues, Mr. Oliver Moseby. I also got to know Oliver via phone first and I was extremely impressed by his polished manners, professionalism and multi-lingual abilities. His command of other languages, including French, came in helpful because while I speak some French and understand it, I am not fluent like Oliver. My client is native French and while he is bi-lingual, he prefers to speak in French, especially about technical matters. Oliver too was selfless with his time and took very good care of my client and I. We toured two facilities, inspected many cars and talked for hours. In the end, my client and I purchased several vehicles and closed the deal in a matter of 2 days.

The New and Vintage car industry is plagued with unprofessional and unethical dealers and salespeople...and this is usually a sign that the management is at the root of the problem. Dealing with Sean and Oliver was like a breath of fresh air. They took pride in everything they did, from being well dressed in tailored and bespoke suits, to making sure they followed up on every detail of the sales and post sales process, which included shipping the cars out of the United States.

I make it a point to let any establishment know when they've performed well and when they haven't in order to help the business refine its service. It seems like everyone associated with Beverly Hills Car Club, from the owner to the office personnel, strive for Service Excellence. They have gone beyond our expectations and we will continue to do business with this awesome team. Thank you so much for the great experience and for standing out from the competition...they need to take lessons from Sean and Oliver.

Below is a copy of the email I sent to Beverly Hills Car Club. A friendly, courteous, helpful and professional business. I would not hesitate for one second to do business with this company again. A very pleasant experience.

I just wanted to send you an email to say how much I appreciated all of the personnel at Beverly Hills Car Club. I was treated very well with quick responses to my questions as well as quick responses to my emails. The transaction in purchasing my Studebaker Lark went extremely smooth and actually better than some I have had here in Tennessee. Everyone I dealt with were very courteous, respectful and professional. I want to thank Oliver for making the sale easy, quick and flawless. Oliver actually went out to the car and inspected areas that I had questions about and was very honest about his observations. I would especially like to thank Julianna for all of her help and for keeping me informed about the progress of the shipping. She is an extremely pleasant and cheerful person with the customer's interest at heart. She is a gem and left me with such a positive attitude toward your company. She is definitely  a huge asset to BHCC and a breath of fresh air. The shipping was even a lot quicker than I expected with every aspect of the sale and delivery falling perfectly into place. I have already recommended your company to several of my fellow car enthusiasts and shared your web site with them.
Please feel free to share this letter with anyone you like and please use me for a reference if you wish.
Thank you again for a smooth and quick transaction from over 2000 miles away.

Old cars galore!

I went here a few months back to test drive an Alfa Romeo Montreal. Sadly, it wasn't quite as nice as I would have hoped.

However, the sight of so many classics made up for that.

That said, don't let the name fool you. It's nowhere near Beverly Hills; it's in a somewhat seedy industrial area.
