My husband & I bought our first Countryman from David...I've had my share of bad car buying experiences.... & this was by far the total opposite.  I'm very happy with my car, David made our experience beyond easy...

My last two leasing experiences from this dealership have been amazing. Everyone was eager to help and very friendly. I will definitely buy/lease with them again in the future!

I got my first Mini Cooper in this dealership. Buying a mini wasn't even in my plans. I never consider it because I thought it was supper small and I love big cars. When my dad brought me here JUST to see how spacious they were I was amazed. My final decision was the country man cooper  in love...!!! Everyone here is friendly and they go straight to the point. Super welcoming place. Love the service and how quick they are to help you out. Thank you Team

Great dealership from the sales department to the service department! Highly recommended, I bought my 2014 Mini Countryman from Michael, very knowledgeable and patient, easy transaction ! I had a few issues a month later which Jerome and the team helped me out with right away ! with a loaner car and detail, Ronnie in service and Michael from the BDC department were great too ! I've owned over 20 cars in my life and this was easily the best service & Sales experience I've ever had !!!!

I had one of the smoothest car buying experiences with Nick Alexander Mini.  No haggle pricing, quick paperwork, and delivery to my work.
Thank you so much David Iturralde!  I love my new Mini!

This place is a great dealership to go. I highly recommend David. He has great customer service and gives the best deals.

My experience at Nick Alexander MINI was like none I've ever had. In the best possible way. My most recent car was purchased from a dealership and it was such an unsavory experience I didn't think I could hand going through it again, but lo, enter Ron stage right. He was knowledgeable, patient, and didn't show me any cars out of my range. I can't tell you enough how much I appreciate that. He's funny to boot! I came in for one car and left with another and it's everything I could ask for!

The entire experience at Nick Alexander MINI was great --- from sales to finance I believe in the goodness of people. I highly, highly recommend them if you're in the market for a MINI.

Thank you!

Met Michael at Mini Univ when 4-D options were limited. Well 2015 brought the 4-D mini S!  Michael was patient, professional, thoughtful, and held my hand thru the whole process.  The day was nearing its end, he stayed after his work hours to prep my car & dox then met me in my area late at night to finish the process.  He later had the car delivered to my door by his asst who re-detailed the car. Wow. Service with a smile!

We originally were going with Univ Mini bc they're service is amazing n the guys there treat u like family. Looks like Michael is taking that Univ culture of kindness, efficiency, n thoroughness to Alexander Mini. Alexander recognizes quality in his cars n coworkers.

I had an amazing experience with Alexander MINI!

My friend came with me for moral support during the car buying experience. Before entering the dealership we started looking at the cars in the lot right out front, after a few minutes David walked out to meet us. Not in a "scary sales person" way but in a very genuine "I am here to help" way. We immediately jumped into questions and he answered each one with detail. He knows so much about these cars! David has been working at Alexander MINI for 9 years and started as a car washer and worked his way through several different positions before his current role in sales. I think it is because of this that his friendly attitude takes over and you are instantly talking to a friend helping you pick out a new car instead of a salesman trying to up sell you.

He drove us to the back lot to look at even more models. We'd done quite a bit of research online before so asked very specific questions about some of the features and he happily walked us through each of them. Once I'd picked out my dream car (which was a fairly basic one, again I didn't feel any pressure for up-selling, incredible!) we headed inside to work out the details. David was patient while I spend a half an hour on the phone with my dad and helped work out a deal that I felt completely comfortable with.

I had equally great experience with everyone else that I encountered at Alexander MINI as well. Brian in finance was super helpful and talked through everything money-wise with me. And I also talked to two different guys in parts that were extremely nice. I am sure this is something you'll find with everyone on staff, but if you have a choice, I'd highly recommend asking for David Iturralde.

Just to clarify- I was not looking to buy a car and did not buy a car- I was here with a friend for negotiation and support. She had looked at a mini at the Universal dealership but we wanted to check here first to see if they had better deals. We were met promptly by David in the parking lot, but he did not approach us in the typical salesman fashion. He was willing to answer all of our questions, was very upfront about what accessories were worth it or not, and was very patient with us deciding between models and features. When it came down to looking at prices, David was very upfront about what deals he could make and what the best options were for her price range. He gave her an incredible deal and even threw in some extras to make the deal a little sweeter (specialized mini caps on the wheels and a mini handbag). While my friend was on the phone with her parents discussing the deal David and I had a lovely conversation. He was a pleasure to talk to about both professional and personal things (it was a long convo) and he has an adorable family. He clearly loves his job and the brand and has been working here long enough to speak educationally about all aspects of the car. The process from start to finish was incredibly pleasant and didn't feel pressured or forced. It was a joy working with David and when I am looking for my next car, I may just come back and deal with him for myself.

I purchased my mini about a month ago. I'm extremely satisfied! During the process,  I got very upset, about something with a deal. Our sales person, David, was quick to sympathize and asked us to have a seat and give him a chance to make it right. I appreciate that he cared (because it looks like he is a good sales person by the awards in his office and all the yelp mentions he has) he could of easily just let us walk and said next (because there was ppl waiting around that day) . As a sales person my self, I appreciate all David and staff did to make it possible for me to take my mini that day! Since we had other deals that we qualified for, but couldn't get approved because it was after hours. Other than that, everything was smooth. I'm glad to recommend this place to anyone looking to purchase a mini! I'm very stubborn and when I want something it's my way or no way. I'm a supper happy customer with my sunburn ways and high standards this dealership by far has been the best experience I have ever had!

This should be your first and only stop if you want a Mini in LA.

Every thing was first-class service, from the welcome we received when we drove up all the way to driving away with a new Mini a few hours later. I can't believe how easy it was.

It's immediately clear that this dealership is doing it right. They're committed to putting the customer first. Not once did I feel like I was being "had" or like the process was so complex that I didn't feel empowered.

Michael McNamara and his team answered all my questions, listened when I explained what I wanted, and were committed to making sure I drove away happy.

You can tell that the owners of the dealership are good employers: everyone seemed happy to be there.

This was a huge contrast to other dealerships. Because we researched prices through TrueCar at first, we got a barrage of impersonal emails and phone calls from dealers around town who were really trying to push a car down our throats. I felt like my experience at Nick Alexander was tailored to my needs and personality.

I *highly* recommend Michael and the crew at Nick Alexander!

The new sales manager George tried to scam me by giving me tricky numbers on my lease deal.  He condescends the customers and thinks that they can't calculate.  He gave me a BS number, which was higher than the advertised deal, and said that this is the lowest number he can give.  As a result, I made the deal I wanted at another dealer.

Amanda D. | 2015-03-23

This was one of the best car buying experiences I've ever had! Michael was kind and knowledgeable. He explained all of our buying options with ease. We walked in with the intention of purchasing a used, or demo vehicle and decided with all of the amazing options the new 2015 models came with - to buy new! We walked away with a 2015 MINI and couldn't be happier! He also gave us a fantastic price on our trade in. All in all it was a truly wonderful experience and we would recommend Michael and Alexander MINI to anyone looking for their next small & sporty car!

Nikki W. | 2015-03-22

Just got my second MINI here. Great friendly service. No pushy sleazy salesmen. Wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Highly recommended.

chayoon b. | 2015-03-21

Do not lease if you ever plan to stay in LA  & own your car or if you see yourself driving for longer then 3 years.  Three years goes by super fast!  I was in a non committal place when I leased and ended up paying $5000 more to buy my car than if I were to have just bought my car from the beginning.  Sigh. Having said that , if you want a Mini ... I suggest Nick Alexander.
And In the service dept, Ivan is the bomb!

Cameron C. | 2015-03-19

I just bought a countryman this past Sunday at this dealer, and I have to say that I ha a great experience!! This was my first new car purchase, and I felt very comfortable doing it here.

I originally went to another dealer before getting in touch with the internet manager, Michael at this location. He and another Michael were a big help with finding the EXACT car I was looking for, down to the exterior trim color. They stayed late and helped through the entire process and they were very transparent.

I really liked the wide selection of vehicles, the great customer service and the fact that I got a good deal! I definitely will go back to this dealer in the future.

After my last MINI was totaled I went straight to Nick Alexander to get a new one. I saw the 4 door Hardtop at the auto show and fell in love right away. My sales guy, David did a great job answering all my questions. Even though they didn't have what I wanted at the time - He never pushed or tried putting me on something different just to make the sale. This guy really cared about getting me in a car and the right one. I eventually went back and got my MINI. I'm a proud owner of a Mini Cooper S 4Door in Pepperwhite,.. With the John Cooper works :)

If you get your car serviced - which is included when you are purchasing a new Mini at any Mini dealership - Alexander Mini offers a valet pick-up servcie which seems like a great idea when you buy a Mini in South Central LA! The bad news is that you will need to wait about 4 weeks to schedule an appointment and then they will cancel your appointment if you have not reconfirmed the appointment a day before!

What kind of business does this? Not even the cheapest hairdresser or restaurant would just cancel your appointment when you have a set reservation and not reconfirm! The lady from their service department told me "it is comany policy" but NOBODY told me about this CUSTOMER UNFRIENDLY POLICY they have for their valued customers. I would have definitely considered a dealership which is closer to my house.

In short: It is easy to sell a car and make you happy in the moment but what happens after the sale is completed this is whern you see the big difference in dealerships!

I am a fan of Nick Alexander. I was looking for a particular Mini Cooper model (with a manual transmission) which was hard to find, but David spent the time and energy to locate exactly what I wanted. I felt very comfortable throughout the whole process which is saying a lot when you are buying a car!

Angelica D. | 2015-03-10

After searching several sites, I somehow got lucky with Alexander MINI. I spent my Saturday morning searching and searching for the one MINI I wanted. I was able to set up an appointment the same day with Ron after finding they had 5 in the color I was looking for.  Ron made the whole experience easy. He did a fantastic job. He was very laid-back, cool, and very knowledgeable about the specs of the car. He had the MINI I wanted and I drove off with it that same day. Also, I am not too picky with having special wheels or tint, but obtaining Sirius XM was one of the things I really really wanted back in my new MINI. The lease process was very easy. Steve in finance was just as cool as well. He made the paper signing process easy, too. I came back the following week to get the satellite radio installed and Ron helped me again by getting me a loaner car and keeping me updated on my MINI.  Thanks again, Ron, for being so great! He found Nemo for me! (I think you can figure out the color of my car from there).

Polly C. | 2015-03-08

Very courteous and friendly. Even offer us pizza due to long wait when doing paper work!'

After an odd situation which i won't explain on here that would have frustrated some people I was lucky enough to work with Desmond at Nick Alexander Mini.  Desmond was my service advisor and was very transparent, compassionate and empathetic to my situation.   He was always keeping my in the loop with calls or text messages, always answered my text message questions promptly(no matter how many times I bugged him).   Its a good feeling to have a person that you truly feels has your best interests in mind when making decisions.   He cares about his job and what he does and that translates to the type of service he provides to his customers.   My situation would have probably pushed some people over the edge but Desmond was able to save the brand in my eyes and make me realize that I bought a Mini Cooper not a problem.   I'd also like to give my sales person David a shout as well due to him checking in on me and the situation on his own when he noticed my car was still in for service.   I'm glad I bought my car from these guys because they really embody what the brand is about.   Thank you again for all the work and time.

Jamie P. | 2015-03-04

I seriously love nick Alexander mini! They always get me in quickly... Take care of my problem at no cost. Ivan my service guy is the best!! I can always count on him to take care of my car and my problem!!  Jamie Pesanti

I intially went to look but not purchase and I walked out with a 2015 Mini Cooper S. The Guys there are very cool, relaxed about making a sale, they were welcoming and really made you feel respected. Michael McNamara was awesome to work with and I will refer friends and family to him if they have interest in purchasing our leasing one of these awesome cars.  Michael went out of his way respond right away to my late request later that night. BTW his assistant was great too. I can see him climbing the ladder quickly within the Alexander Mini organization. Great expierence no regrets here!

We just purchased our first Mini a couple weeks ago from Nick Alexander Mini.  All we have is praise for the Team that worked with us.  From the moment we reached the lot we were greeted by Ron.  He was incredibly personable and knowledgeable. He was able to answer all our questions and never tried to pressure a sale.  When it came time to negotiate a price, the team worked hard to get us a number we felt was fair.

All that said, three weeks into our 2015 Mini Countryman we love it!  We'll definitely be recommending Nick Alexander Mini to all of our family and friends.

Andy N. | 2015-03-03

Nick Alexander is one of the worst place to bring your car in for repair. I've purchased a used 2010 Mini Cooper and within a year any only driving less than 8,000 miles that year took my care in for repair 6 times, it seems like they could never fix the issue of me being stranded cause of my battery kept dying. The car left me stranded with a battery issue, however being a gay male and owning a car for the first time, the tech guy kept guy kept saying it was my fault, that I did not turn my lights off, did not know how to drive or used my car. I've never felt like a place that was not here to help me. I remember telling the tech guy after picking up my car for the last time, saying - with all the cars you loan to me none of them died on me so clearly this is not my fault.

WORST PLACE

After doing tons of research on literally every MINI dealership within a 50 mile radius of Los Angeles (weeks worth of phone calls, emails, text messages, online chats) with reps from several dealerships, I wound up at Alexander MINI. And boy, am I glad I did.

Right off the bat, from my first interaction with Danny Kim at Alexander MINI, it was clear that customer service was a priority. He didn't have the seedy, sales-y vibe I got from so many dealerships. Danny was so incredibly informative and helpful, without being pushy and without any pressure.

He was completely up front about everything I asked about (and trust me, I asked a lot!). I got there at 10:45, took a test drive, went through the details of the pricing with Danny, worked with Steve to get my paperwork signed, and now I'm the happy owner of a Pepper White MINI Cooper Hardtop! I drove away in about two and a half hours with the car I wanted at the price I wanted.

Compared to all the other dealerships I talked with (Long Beach MINI, Bob Smith MINI, Universal MINI, Crevier MINI, etc.), Alexander MINI was the easiest to work with. The others would either not answer my specific questions, give me incomplete answers, or tried to get me to come into the dealership before they gave me specifics. That's not how it should work. Other dealerships should know by now that savvy shoppers are turned off when they try to hold out information to get you to come to the dealership so they can pressure you into buying from them once you're there.

Danny gave me all the info I needed without needing to drive all the way down to the dealership -- that's why the process was so quick and easy once I got there!

The Yelp reviews don't lie. I know I'll have my car for years and years, but next time anyone I know is in the market for a MINI, I'm sending them to Alexander.

The location is in a pretty decrepit part of Los Angeles, but the dealership itself is very nice. It's worth it to go there, though, since I imagine they pass on the low overhead costs to their customers! :)

Here's a tip: Do a lot of online research when you're shopping for a car. Edmunds has a lot of great articles, and be sure to make a spreadsheet of all the cars you're interested in so you can make an informed decision. It'll also make the process at the dealership so much more quick and smooth if you know what you're doing.

Jorge/George is AMAZING!

From the moment we walked in, he was so helpful. I told him that I had been to 3 car dealerships that day, and Jorge made sure that Alexander Mini was where I made my final purchase. He was not pushy AT ALL, but instead asked me what I was looking for, easily located it, and presented me with an offer that blew all of the other dealerships out of the water. It was that simple, and pleasant.

The only downside was the 3 hour wait to finance the car, but they were very sorry about the delay, and were frequently checking in on my friends and I to make sure that we were doing well. Steve, their finance guy was also great.

The overall experience at Alexander MINI was FUN! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brittknee M. | 2015-03-01

This was my first car buying experience and it was awesome! Michael was extremely quick at answering my online request for info. I was in the next day and he did a great job making sure I was comfortable and got everything I needed. I couldn't have had a smoother experience.

John B. | 2015-02-28

About a year and a half ago I stopped by another MINI dealer and took a MINI S Convertible with a Highgate package for a test drive and fell in love with the car.  I was driving an ancient Honda Accord (which I also loved) at the time and needed to sleep on getting a new car for a bit.  About a month later I had a minor hood bender in my Accord (barely scratched the other car) and- the Accord being so old- my car was "totaled".  I drive a lot and needed a car NOW.  So I called the dealer I had looked at the car before and the Highgate MINI was gone. Nooo!!!  The salesman I had talked to at the other dealer didn't call me back so I felt free to look around and find my car.  I called several SoCal dealers looking for a MINI S Convertible Highgate and could find NONE. I went online and found one in SF and was about to call them when- in desperation really- I decided to call Alexander MINI.  I talked to Sara Brinkman on the phone and told her what I was looking for.  A MINI-S Highgate Convertible had just come in!  Trying my best not to sound desperate I told her I needed a car right away- just send me the "Sheet" on the car and also the best price she could give me if I bought it today.  She sent me the info immediately- as well as a price that was well below MSRP- with no haggling whatsoever.  I'm pretty sure if I wanted to take a day out of my life and haggle I might have gotten a few more dollars off... but, she did know I wanted exactly that car and there were no others in SoCal to be found- so maybe not.  We made the deal over the phone- she sent me some things by internet and I drove down after work that night and picked up the car for the price we had agreed upon.  Sara Brinkman was great.  But- of course- that's only part of buying the car.  I had already decided that if I bought the MINI (or any other car) with a CVT transmission I wanted an extended warranty- and I was bracing myself for the cost of that.  It wasn't cheap- but it extended the factory warranty (which covers basically everything but tires) to 100,000 miles.  All this got wrapped into a BMF financed loan and I drove off later that night- top down and with the few hairs remaining on my bald head blowing in the breeze. That was almost a year and a half- and 40,000 miles- ago.  I still love- and I mean love- my car.  But I admit I had one reservation after I bought it- would other MINI dealers honor my extended warranty.  So I have waited to write my MINI review until the original warranty was over.  I have not been back to Alexander MINI for service since I have several MINI dealers closer.  In fact I have been to 3 other MINI dealers- all have been very good to excellent.  Call a few days ahead and you can get a loaner and most everything (except tires) is covered by the warranty.  I did have a blow out from a pothole on a freeway once and went to a large discount tire firm to get 2 more tires- they would not put the new tires on the front (as MINI recommends) and it ended up costing me about the same price as if I had gone to a dealer.  So yesterday when I had to replace the other 2 original tires I did so at the dealer.  My local dealer honored the extended warranty purchased at Alexander MINI no problem- they "saw" the warranty on their computer system and I walked out with all work done (except the 2 new tires) covered. 40,000 miles and I love my MINI. I love my extended (but not cheap) warranty. And I love the no haggle good deal Sara Brinkman gave me up front when she knew she had the only car in Southern California I wanted to buy.

This is the second time coming to this dealership and I love it. The staff is awesome. Especially Desmond! :)

Gregory P. | 2015-02-26

Great service. Awesome crew. Michael and Brian are the BEST!!! My wife's first car will be a part of Nick Alexander Dealership.

Chelsea H. | 2015-02-25

Buying a car with these guys was such a fantastic experience. When I made the decision that I wanted to buy a Mini Cooper, I searched for dealerships in and around the Los Angeles area, and was SO impressed to find the inventory of new and used vehicles at Alexander MINI. I found the exact car I was looking for online, called the dealership, was connected to the most wonderful sales representative in the world - Rhiannon Aguilar - and within 2 hours, I was test driving the car I ended up purchasing that afternoon. Rhiannon was incredibly knowledgable, friendly and helpful. She made the entire process of buying a car so easy and pleasant. What's more, when I drove off the lot, and realized that I had forgotten to pick up my car mats, she brought them to me the next day! What incredible customer service!! I couldn't possibly be happier with my experience.

Cindy S. | 2015-02-24

I had a great experience at nick Alexander mini. It's my first time leasing a car, and the staff were very informative, they got me a great deal. Not only was every one attentive and polite, they seem to have a high standard of service for their clients. If you want a mini this is the place to go.

Courtney A. | 2015-02-17

Great experience! Des is the best! He should run the whole place. Great service, not easy to find when getting your car serviced.

Viktoria B. | 2015-02-16

Alexander Imports Mini is the most amazing dealer I have ever been to! I actually got a used 2012 mini that was ice blue. So rare to find! But besides that, I had a horribly day with horrible experiences at other dealerships the same day with them constantly lying to me and being rude and trying to hide things from me. You know how the dealership goes. You get stuck there all day and then the second you are about to get the car, all these hidden fees come out and you end up leaving with NO car. Anyway, I came to Alexander Imports and told them my horrible experience and they decided they wanted to help me. They were nice to me, they did everything I asked for. Danny was the salesman who helped me out and he was one of the nicest salesmen, scratch that, the ONLY nicest salesmen who has ever helped me. He was kind, and very honest. He was straightforward and was actually communicating with us. We told him what we wanted and he told us if he could do it or not (which obviously he did do it). My overall experience with this dealership was more than great. I am so happy. The best moment was coming to an agreement and seeing my car outside all clean (they washed my car) and filled it up with gas. Danny also gave me a free key chain! I mean they really know how to make your day after constantly being mistreated at other dealerships. We left there happy. The dealer had already closed but Danny and the staff stayed over time to make sure we leave happy with the right choice. I suggest you all go to Alexander Imports Mini and tell your friends and family because I definitely am! Thanks again guys.

I have been going to this dealer for about 5 years. They have been taking care of my cars so well, and their customer service excels over any other car dealersI have been to.

The sale advisor Danny helped me buy my 2nd mini. He found me a perfect car! I love it.

& my service advisor Ronnie has been taking care of my car so well. My car runs so well. He answers all of my questions also.

I love coming back to this dealership. :)

Walt H. | 2015-02-15

After being treated poorly by another Mini dealer in Universal City I visited Nick Alexander Mini. It was a true no hassle experience. I not only found the car I wanted but was able to negotiate a fair price and drove it home that evening. Should I buy another Mini I will be returning to Nick Alexander and in the meantime I'll be referring them to all my friends.

Roya B. | 2015-02-12

I like being able to communicate through e-mail and this seemed to be a hassle for most other dealerships. George was great. After a few e-mails we agreed on a deal, and I was there the next day getting my new Mini.

Steve in finance was funny and diligent in explaining everything I signed.

I dealt with 5 different MINI dealerships and this by far was the best experience I had. :)

Excellent service!

Had my Mini serviced here for the first time.  Very professional. Everything went smoothly. Thanks Jonathan for a great experience!

Ron Szoke was great. I am a first time car buyer and he made the entire experience painless and even fun! If you're interested getting in a Mini, Alexander Mini is a great dealership to go to.

A +++
what a great experience!
I saw a used mini on the MINIUSA website. It seemed like the deal of the century. I called David. We met the following day (mothers day). He was awesome. Very helpful...not pushy. Between him and Robert, I was sold. I am so excited for my new car. I would go back again. Everyone was fantastic! Thanks for my Birthday/Mother's Day gift

Griz M. | 2015-02-06

To this day I love my MINI purchase, although I bought mine at Southday, Ron at Nick Alexander took care of my car. Great dealer so far. I haven't been to this location but I appreciate the service.

Laurie B. | 2015-02-02

This is the second time I've done business with Nick Alexander Mini. The first time I leased a new Mini then after making the mistake of leasing elsewhere, I went back and bought a pre-owned Mini. Both times I agreed to the price over the phone then got to the dealership to find exactly what was agreed to. No surprises. No additional costs. Ron Szoke was very professional and worked hard to get me exactly what I wanted.
And... the best part is yet to come. Nick Alexander has the best service that I've ever experienced. When it's time for scheduled maintenance they send a loaner car on a flatbed truck and pick up your Mini! Once the service is completed they send the flatbed truck back with your car and pick up the loaner. Amazing right? I couldn't be happier with my car and the experience of buying from the dealership.

What better way to start the weekend than getting my first Mini Cooper and at this location?! So happy to have met Danny Kim and have him handle my whole purchase. Super personable, professional and efficient. He made the whole process easy, simple and enjoyable and most importantly, made my wish come true :) the whole staff was wonderful. I didn't even notice time pass, never have I experienced this at any auto dealership. Thank you Danny Kim and the rest of Mini Alexander staff!

I had a great experience at Alexander MINI. The employees were very friendly and helpful. They explained everything thoroughly and got me on the road in a timely manner. I visited two other MINI dealers prior to coming here. This is where I ended up getting my car. The experience here was very positive. I would recommend this dealer to others.

Words can't do justice to describe this power house crew here! First my service guy Dez... The man! Dialed me in had my best interest at heart and for me into a new mini! George the sales manager got me in and out of there in two hours flat with a new car which they hand delivered to me with a Seahawk thank u sign on the dash! Thanks DeZ!!! Steve made the paperwork flawless and easy! This is my second lease with mini and they have guaranteed a customer for life! Shervin brought me the car where I was trying on dresses for a friends premier last night and even did an impromptu photo shoot with me my red dress and my new red mini! Best experience ever! Never knew buying getting a new car could be so easy, fast and so fun! Love you guys!

RON! Ron! Ron! I Cannot begin to tell of the horror stories in customer service I experienced until I found Ron at Nick Alexander. I was always a very serious buyer everywhere I inquired for the three weeks I was without a car and was serious about finding the most reliable car that I LOVED which came with the Best warranty out there and with high hopes from a person I wanted to contribute to their sales. In a job's worth of hours a week shopping for a car and inquiring, no dealership even closely compared with the eagerness to earn my  business like Nick Alexander proved within moments of being connected. How QUICKLY I was responded to caught me off guard and proved yet again that True facts about a car or information about financing shouldn't take an entire day or more like most sales people in the past weeks have shown and therefore wasted my time. I was so weary by the time I got ahold of Ron and on the verge of losing patience to be open minded about options for lease vs buy vs the other great option to finance the car I wanted. I felt surprised and sure that Ron was so attentive and eager to be helpful and I was encouraged to give him all necessary information by explaining my thoughts on the lease vs buying once again and he didn't just try to convince me to lease like every other sales person since they may make more commission on a lease and know you will be back in their store in three years--he presented an offer I hadn't heard about yet after three weeks that was IDEAL for me and what I ultimately wanted. It seems that anyone who was truly listening to my hesitancy about the lease option the whole week before would have immediately been triggered and happy to give me the Select plan breakdown since it solves the reluctance I was expressing towards leasing. He made total sense of how it works patiently and made sure he didn't disclose information without knowing for sure. He Truly Believed that my Search should Be Over by giving me the best possible deal up front. We first made contact on a Wednesday night at 7:30 pm and by Thursday AT 2:15 he was personally driving and delivering my DREAM CAR over an hour drive from Los Angeles to South Orange County......the exact RARE color combo, ice chocolate with bonnet stripes, with the EXACT features I wanted plus A super fun moonroof I didn't care about having initially but wouldn't trade for the world now!!!!!!!!!! I use it every drive. (:
I can't sing enough praises to Ron and the manager over there. The whole household loves Ron and knows how worthy he is of anyones future business, knowing what I went through to find somebody like him, then seeing him deliver the car and be generous with his time to explain the ins and outs of the car and let me test drive it in my neighborhood once it was here. Go to Nick Alexander, ask for Ron.

I did research to find the best dealership to purchase my MINI.  I decided to go by what the reviews said about the Service Dept.  Let's face it, you spend one day with Sales, but a "Lifetime" with the Service folks.  That is how I came to Nick Alexander MINI.  They had AMAZING reviews of their Service Department.  I am also pleased to report that the Sales Department was just as AMAZING.

Jessy E. | 2015-01-17

10's and yes's all the way. Even though ive been theor lots of times, their servce is very good.

Jennifer S. | 2015-01-14

The stripes that we were waiting to get installed on the car went perfect and smoothly! It took about 30 minutes to get it done, we were worried we would be stuck there for a while but they worked very quickly! We are very satisfied!!

I bought my counrtyman about a year and a half ago june 2013. I was a little reluctant because past experiences with car dealerships! But I have to say that I had the best car buying experience ever! I am hooked on Mini and Nick Alexander Mini is the best! They will treat you well!

Evangelia L. | 2015-01-11

David was the sales associate who sold me my mini. He was so patient and friendly and very very helpful. This was my first time buying a car by myself and I didn't feel like I needed a man with me so I wouldn't get ripped off. They made me feel respected. I was so happy with my mini and I still am! I recommend anyone interested in a mini to go here and ask for David!

Ilene R. | 2015-01-05

We had a great experience at the Alexander Mini in Los Angeles. We went to test drive the new 4 door minis and ended up buying one that day.
Our sales person, Ron Szoke was great! He humored us by showing us nearly every combo possible! HIs has a lot of knowledge of the different minis available and the whole process of buying the car was pretty smooth and simple.
A month after buying the car we returned to learn more tricks on all of the technology and again Ron was great, patient and helpful.
I would highly recommend him if you are interested in purchasing a mini!

Maria M. | 2015-01-03

Wonderful and fast service.  Everyone was very friendly. I would recommend to live this experience.  Got my daughter's first car and I am bery happy the automobile she choose.

Eh C. | 2015-01-03

With impeccable professionalism, Jonathan Aragon was wonderfully helpful. He was promptly responsive over email and the phone. He was kind enough to explain the problems with my Mini Cooper repeatedly given that I am rather unfamiliar with cars. Repairs were quickly performed, and because I live near NA they sent a car service to pick me up. Outstanding service. His help made all the difference. Thank you, Jonathan!

Genevieve D. | 2015-01-02

Just took my Mini in for an oil change. As has been the case since the beginning, I'm very pleased with the service! No complaints here. Everything is easy. There is great communication. Dez in service is super helpful. I love the extended warranty option, too!

Sree P. | 2014-12-30

Great service. I was late with my appointment and they still took care of it. I had called them for installing stripes. They recommended me to a third party and it was a wonderful experience.

Alfisti V. | 2014-12-28

Mini Alexander is the place to go for your next Mini!

I bought my first Countryman 2 months ago; and brought my friend over today to get his from Mini as well.  David and Jerod  truly understand the meaning of customer service and will do whatever it takes within their power to amplify your experience.

I will definitely be going back when the new 4-door Clubman comes out in 2016.

Ernand D. | 2014-12-28

I am a repeat customer of NA Mini. This is my second Countryman I leased with George Manjarrez. It was a nice experience I had in June 2012 and a much better service experience in December 2014.

Mr. Manjarrez, made himself available via email. I like doing business through the internet. He responded to all my inquiries and got me into a new 2015 Countryman with a great deal to boot! George is a no pressure sales rep. He is professional, experienced and insightful.

I also want to give Daniel in accessories and Steve in Finance some commendable marks. Both gentleman were very professional, knowledgeable and helpful.

These three gentlemen are valuable employees to Nick Alexander Mini.  I highly recommend them when shopping for a new Mini.  It's no wonder I am a repeat customer of NA.

Albert O. | 2014-12-26

I bought my first car at Alexander Mini and below is my review for their services.

Sales:
David, a sales representative, was very helpful in explaining the benefits to every car. He made the process easy and I did not feel like I was being pushed into purchasing a car. The interaction was organic and I was able to finally purchase my first car.  I highly recommend anyone to speak to David if they plan on purchasing a car at Alexander mini.  I took my parents with me and he was also very nice and helpful in explaining to them what the benefits of purchasing a Mini Copper. We are definitely recommending all our friends and family to David.

Reception:
Saidy, receptionist, was super nice to me and my parents.  Overall the whole team was nice, helpful, and friendly.  I felt like I made a good purchase with good people.

Overall, if you plan on buying a Mini, buy it at Alexander Mini and ask for David.

Kei L. | 2014-12-25

I bought my mini convertible earlier this year from Nick Alexander mini and I've been extremely happy with every service here from sales, service, to appointment and others.

Sales:
Our sales manager's name is Jerome. He is so nice and cool, made us always feel at ease, never pushy, and he made us feel confident in our decisions, because he believes in the product he represents. Brian is the finance manager and he made the whole paperwork process a breeze.

Service:
Our service advisor is Ronnie, and he is really awesome and down to earth. I had gone for service regarding minor 'unique' concerns or maintenance, and he's always so helpful and knows what needs to be done. And if not, he'll work hard with his team to figure out how to resolve anything. Like Jerome, he also is confident and believes in mini. I would feel very comfortable and confident leaving my mini with Ronnie.

Appointment/Reception:
unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the nice lady(ladies) who help me with appointment over the phone. They are so nice and always pays great attention. Sometimes I have to explain what's going on just so they can advise me properly and they never rush me and are so considerate.

In sum, such an amazing team they got here. From brief moments i talk with anyone there, they're all courteous and helpful. I'd recommend anyone I know to nick alexander, and especially to Jerome and Ronnie. I love mini so much more now because of all the awesome experiences, even after the purchase.

I just recently leased a Mini Cooper from Nick Alexander and it was such an easy process. Usually car buying is time consuming and beyond stressful. TrueCar helped make that process easier and I knew exactly what my fair price was. Jerod and Danny were extremely helpful and knowledgable at the dealership. Easy and painless are two words to describe my experience and I would highly recommend to anyone. I love my new car! I have a feeling I'll be in the Mini Cooper family for awhile.

Ruth V. | 2014-12-23

Car buying is always so stressful for me. But I'm feeling good today after buying my 2nd Mini  at Nick Alexander. Our salesman, Ron Szoke, was so down to earth and a regular guy. He was genuine and did not make us feel rushed or pressured. Our financial guy, Brian Stine, was also amazing. The paperwork was clear and he answered all questions in a comprehensive, yet concise way.
Overall, it was an EXCELLENT experience.

Forgot to mention that we came in an hour before closing and ended up keeping Ron, Brian, and several other staff almost 2 hours longer than they should have been there. Everyone one of them could not have been more gracious.

We will be back for Mini #3, for sure!

Claire C. | 2014-12-22

My second experience leasing a Mini with Alexander Mini, and it couldn't have been better! They are 21st Century about getting things done ahead of time, which makes getting the car you want/love sooo easy.

Eddie V. | 2014-12-22

I've bought two Minis here already and I plan to buy a third once I reach the third year on my Countryman. Both buying experiences have been awesome, my first purchase was a 2010 Mini Cooper S Hardtop that was not on the lot with the color combination I wanted but it was on another dealers floor about 60miles away. Alexander Mini picked it up that same day and delivered it to me that night. On my second purchase I took advantage of their Built Your Own Mini website and since Alexander couldn't find one that matched exactly how I wanted it, they ordered it and had it built to my specifications. I know drive around in a 2013 Countryman Mini Cooper S All4 just the way I built it online. I couldn't be happier with Alexander Mini and their service department is top notch. They always treat you right and when you're not happy with something they always try and fix the problem right away. They have a customer for life with me! Thank you Alexander Mini!

Michael F. | 2014-12-21

Alexander Mini exceeded my expectations! I checked out a few other dealerships in the area. Unlike other dealers, they have a large amount of different mini's to look at.

George M was great to have as a sales person. No pressure, and easy to work with.  Got an amazing deal on a 2015 Countryman!! When I asked about getting stripes and few extras that the car didn't have, George made it happen and it didn't affect the bottom line.  He went above and beyond what I expected, and I got a great deal that worked within my budget.

HIGHLY recommend this place. LOVE my new Mini, fun to drive, and great extra features!

Toy T. | 2014-12-21

Jonathan was very friendly and helpful. We had a service appointment for our mini and he made it super easy for us. Thanks!!

Kay H. | 2014-12-20

Bought a mini todate. Sales guy Roland was he best. He made the car buying experience painless.

Vi K. | 2014-12-15

This was my first time buying a car on my own. I was really scared because I didn't want to get hustled. But my salesman David was really awesome. He wasn't pushy and was very patient with me. I ended up with a better Mini than the one I was looking at on their website. David was able to give me a good deal and the process was quick and painless. If you are planning to get a mini, definitely go here for the best deals!!

Matt P. | 2014-12-15

Went to get my mini tuned up at nick alexander and was pleasantly suprised with how good the service was. Dez was the man helping me out and he was a rockstar. From the moment I dropped it off to when I picked it up, Dez was very helpful through out the entire process. Very satisfied

Trung V. | 2014-12-13

I been coming to Mini Nick Alexander since I bought my car in 2010.  I been going to their service dept and my service adviser manager is Ivan.  He always knows me by my name.  He listen to your concern and works hard to fix whatever my mini needs.  He ben- over backward.  There is a few times my car went out on me and they were just about to close their door and I needed a rental.  They worked hard to set me up with a loaner after their service is close.  That made my day and I thought I would been screwed at the end.  Everything went very smooth for me and I never left unhappy.  I highly recommend anyone who looking for a mini or needed service for their mini should come here.  I wish I had purchase my mini from Nick Alexander.  I did my service somewhere else and I wasn't happy with them.  Mini of Monrovia has a lot to learn from Nick Alexander.  I refused to go to Mini of Monrovia because I been unhappy with their service and customer services. I leave them making me feel really stupid that I dont' know what I am talking about.  And they laugh in front of my face.
Once again Ivan, you go above and beyond with me.  You have met all my expectation and always put a smile on my face.  I hope I made your day Ivan with this greatest review!.

E P. | 2014-12-10

Any motorist knows what a headache it can be to purchase a vehicle. Whether it be used, through craigslist, or after hours spend negotiating before being able to drive a new import off the lot, its usually not the most memorable time of new-vehicle ownership. However, that is how Nick Alexander MINI breaks the mold.

The experience purchasing my Cooper Hardtop back in 2012 was outstanding. Nonetheless, I've finally (I know I know, a bit late) come around to writing a review for Nick Alexander MINI with the most heartfelt gratitude for providing my MINI, my fiancé, and myself with the best customer we've ever had the honor of receiving. In particular this review was in order, as a small ovation toward Desmond Brinkman at the service department. From day one, "Dez" (as he insists we address him) has gone above and beyond to make our regular service appointments a pleasure. No request (of course within reason) is ever too far-fetched, or impossible for Dez, for he knows how to treat a customer right. Did I mention he know's a thing or two about MINIs? The guy races Coopers professionally on the side, so no mechanical glitch is foreign to him, and no customization advice too extreme, making his opinion alone worth its weight in gold.

It's obviously a team effort to get one's vehicle serviced. So from the phone operator who never lets your call ring more than twice, to the greeter at the door who welcomes you and your Cooper, to the Service Advisors juggling customer requests behind their desks, Nick Alexander MINI deserves all the accolades they can muster. I would not purchase a MINI or service it anywhere else. My hat's off to you all, see you at the next pit-stop!

Jonathan H. | 2014-12-05

It has been just over a year since I purchased my Mini Cooper. So far so good. At the time I came in to look at a secondhand Mini I spotted on their website. The car wasn't what I drove off with, though I decided on another that looked the same but with a few extra perks inside.

Over the past year, I've brought in my car a couple times for some basic services. I also brought it in once to the dealer's body/collision center after a thief decided to break in through the passenger side window - leaving a few minor scratches on the door. Without hesitation and no charge, the guys at the body shop took my car and were able to wax off most of the minor scratches. Overall the staff have been friendly and accommodating. I have asked my friends how there dealers are when it comes to service, and it never seems to top the customer experience I've had at Alexander Mini. I hope in the years to come, as well as the car, I continue to have a positive experience all around. Perhaps someday I will be back for a new Cooper S. Thanks guys!

Jennifer H. | 2014-12-04

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would in a heartbeat. David and Ronnie are hands down the best staff I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Friendly, accommodating, and a perfect example of great customer service. I have went back to get maintenance done on my hardtop and every time I visit, it is an experience I never forget. I enjoy the complimentary coffee, soda, and water that they offer. The car washes on top of that as well. :) I will definitely recommend this place to anyone, friends and family. What more can I say? I am a very happy customer and will be going back for any of my Mini needs.

Marisa W. | 2014-12-04

Just leased my first new car (2015 Cooper Hardtop) from George and the whole team was super nice and helpful. I told them what I wanted to pay and we worked out a deal and best of all we did almost the whole deal via email so I only had to come to the dealership to get the car and sign the papers. And though I haven't used it yet I'm excited about their service that picks your car up and takes it to the dealership for you. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to get a Mini.

Nancy G. | 2014-12-01

If you're going to get your mini serviced, make sure you see Ivan. He's the best!! It's always a pleasure working with him. My car is always ready on time and I appreciate that!!

Jonathan K. | 2014-11-29

After an exhaustive research process on where to buy my first new car, I decided to purchase my 2015 Mini Cooper Hardtop at Nick Alexander Mini. They were very helpful from the beginning to the after service of delivering my old used car back to my neighborhood and park it for me while I whisked away in my new car. I was able to get a great deal, and Ron who was salesman was very helpful. He would communicate with me and that at the end of day is what led me to Nick Alexander Mini over another Mini dealer somewhere near Magic Mountain (I won't say it explicitly). The other dealer was very pushy, and an angry assistant manager wouldn't let me do a security deposit because it was "unfair" for the other customers. HELLO?! I AM A CUSTOMER! But Ron at Alexander Mini was totally okay with a security deposit and I was like, "hey, that's great!" So a pleasant experience all the way from the salesman and the very cool Finance Manager, Steve, made my experience all worth it. Even the service adviser was really cool when I asked him about a potential recall issue with the 2014 Mini hardtop.

Issue with car after ONE month: When you rotate the steering wheel, you hear it clicking and sounds like a bolt is not screwed on properly. The steering sensor needed to be replaced.

Nannette N. | 2014-11-26

Ivan Montejano at Nick Alexander MINI is ABSOLUTELY THE BEST MINI SERVICE ADVISOR!  He is friendly, knowledgeable, prompt, thorough and will give you the best deal possible.  I will keep going back to this dealership.  Nick Alexander - Ivan Montejano is your gem!

TaylorAnne G. | 2014-11-25

I purchased my 2011 Mini cooper hardtop back in April from David Inturrald & he's hands down the best! If you're planning to buy a mini (which you should because we're a cool club of elitists) go to David. He'll help you out and hook you up :)

I'm seeing a lot of mixed reviews about the service department. Majority of which are Probably directly related to peoples' feelings towards the hole that burned through their pockets here... Unfortunately, this is part of owning a D2 luxury automobile. :/ As a young girl that's not well versed in vehicle mechanics I'm very pleased with the service  team at Nick Alexander. They're always super friendly and extremely helpful. Truthfully, I've never seen people who truly want to help out customers more in my entire life.
Ivan has way too many trophies on his desk.. Dude's pretty cool.

Best. Customer Service. Ever! without a doubt!

Morgana R. | 2014-11-25

I purchased my car in August. It's the end of November and I still don't have a license plate. Good luck getting their DMV rep Tammy to answer the phone or return a phone call, ever. Really disappointing. I spoke to a person in sales who said he'd take care of it. Nothing happened. Still waiting for a license plate...

Everyone questions service after they buy a car...

Nick Alexander MINI is awesome on service!
JONATHAN is definitely who you want to get in touch with wherever you bought your MINI at! He is awesome and very accommodating in everything you need!

Thank You Wilim, George and Steve for taking good care of me. I had a meltdown (my emotions got the best of me) but you guys took it in stride and carried on.

Thank you for the GREAT price and a great Mini experience!! My white Paceman is a blast to drive and I feel and look great in it!!!!!!

Karly W. | 2014-11-20

To say that I was dissatisfied with my experience at Nick Alexander mini would be an understatement.  I would NEVER recommend this dealer to ANYONE. They have left a horrible taste In my mouth and I will not be bringing my mini back to this dealer.

I am a female in my twenties with a slight apprehension when it comes to mechanics honesty and integrity. Unfortunately, my apprehension was confirmed after my awful experience at Alexander mini. I brought my 2009 Mini Cooper s in hours after my indicator 1 light appeared on (my reliable and loved mechanics at Miniworx were not available) I wanted to get the problem checked out immediately. As I arrived at Alexander mini I was Immediately greeted by a friendly man whom got started on my paper work right away. I thought well this is good start...  Within a few hours of dropping my mini off at Alexander I received a call with some "good and bad news" the good news was that they replaced the thermostat housing free of charge (under the california 7years 70,000 mile warranty) -the bad news was that my oil filter housing was leaking and the repair would cost roughly 1200 and they found a brake sensor malfunction which would be a small additional cost of 150/200$. 1400$ is a lot of money. But the money is not the problem... I was more than willing to pay the cost to have my car fixed.

After consulting with Miniworx and getting a quote significantly less than the dealer I made the decision to pick my car up form Alexander mini and take it to Miniworx. I arrived to pick up my car at 7:30 am prompt. I was informed that this was the time the service dept opened and the time I would be able to get my car. I was forced to wait until 8:15 am because the service men did not have the key and I had to wait for the front desk woman to arrive. Because of this communication error / employee tardiness I sat in traffic that could have been avoided. Boy am I glad I picked up my car from Alexander mini. Miniworx determined that in fact it was not the oil filter housing leaking but the vacuum pump. The vacuum pump in fact is covered under California's 7year or 70,000 mile warranty. And as for the brake sensor malfunction, it didn't exist... I then proceeded to take my mini to Universal mini to have ANOTHER opinion/look and come to find out everything Miniworx stated was correct. Universal mini went ahead and fixed my vacuum pump free of charge and provided great service. So as far as I'm concerned the people at Alexander mini either tried to take advantage of me or don't know how to do their job. Both scenarios are unacceptable and not what I would expect from a mini dealer. I will never be back to Alexander mini nor would I recommend this dealer to anyone!

Luka E. | 2014-11-16

This is our second Mini purchase this year.  My husband's car was ready to be replaced so I started looking into a Mini Cooper for him.  I leased earlier this year from Mini of Monrovia but the entire sales experience was lacking - my sales person left the company before my car was delivered and then it felt as if no one could be bothered.  Well, I tracked Kim Scholz down, she's the person who I made my Mini of Monrovia purchase from but then left the company.  Kim is now at Alexander Mini and I was happy to purchase from her again.  The reason I went with Kim a second time is after speaking with four to five dealers, Kim doesn't play games.  She's totally up front with her prices and she gives you a good deal.  I appreciate that.  No one likes playing games with car dealers and with Kim, you have a good experience.

Lori H. | 2014-11-14

Nick Alexander Mini is the place to go for the largest selection of Mini Cooper's, if it's not on the lot (highly unlikely), they can get it for you!

The guys in the Service department take care of you - they take their time with each person - and they take great care of your Mini.

Ivan is my go-to guy for everything - he's the best!

Go buy a Mini NOW!!!!!

I was looking for my dream car, which happened to be a very specific Mini: a new, 2 seater, manual transmission, convertible roadster. After calling/visiting upwards of 10 southern CA Mini dealers, I was extremely frustrated. One dealer told me that the car was in stock, only to present me with an automatic hardtop 4 door. Another had the vehicle, but the salesperson spent time telling us stories about how skilled he is at manipulating customers. Needless to say, I didn't buy a car from him. One dealer hung up on me after I simply stated which vehicle I had been searching for. I was absolutely astounded that I could have so many bad experiences searching for a car!

Fast forward to the day I called Sean Ruiz at Alexander Mini. He was honest with me, saying "that's a difficult car to find, but I'll try my best." He searched incoming shipments, checked with other dealers, and worked hard to find my new baby. He updated me over the phone every few hours, and was very honest about what was and was not realistic, but promised to keep searching. Then, Sean called with incredible news. He made a miracle happen. He found a very gently used car with only 2,000 miles on it, and was able to discount it $15,000 under what the previous dealer I had visited was asking for the same vehicle. $15,000! On top of that, their finance manager was able to qualify me for 6% APR despite my giant student loan burden, as opposed to the 17% I was previously quoted from other lenders.

Sean found me a car that supposedly didn't exist, was wonderful to work with, and saved me $15,000 on the selling price without having to negotiate AT ALL, and on top of that, he saved me thousands of dollars in interest charges, which equates to saving over $300 a month. I've never heard about anyone saving $15,000 at a car dealership, but Sean made it happen. I am obsessed with my absolutely perfect car, and every month, I'm legitimately excited to make my car payment. I couldn't say enough about my amazing experience with Sean and the staff at Alexander Mini. I'm so grateful to Sean for what he's done for me. If you're looking for a Mini Cooper, he is, without a doubt, the absolute best in LA.

Amazing service.  I was in the area and happened to get a flat tire.  Alexander MINI took my car in right away, gave me a great deal on new tires, and had me on my way within 2 hours.  When I first told them of the possible flat tire, they had offered to patch the tire FOR FREE if it was repairable.  Wheel Works charges about $30 for that!  But Alexander MINI is so generous!

I've been to a handful of MINI dealers in California since I've been moving around a lot since I bought my MINI 3 years ago, but I have been most impressed by Alexander MINI.  Fast and efficient service.  Very friendly team of employees.  I can tell that they actually care about the customer and their cars.  It's refreshing to finally find a car dealership that actually seems genuine.  Even though Alexander MINI is much farther away from me than my local MINI dealership, I'm going to be sure to schedule my service with them from now on!

I bought my car from here in 2009, and i have been servicing my car in their garage since then. I always book in advance to get advantage of the free loaner. Ronnie was in particular great,  he checked my car in for a service, was very friendly and super professional. He explained in detail what needs to be repaired and gave me some recommendations. the car was ready the next day, although I brought it in late that day. In my opinion Alexander Mini showroom and service center are great.

I have bought and leased a total of 4 Mini Coopers from here and always have a great experience. Everyone is friendly and laid back yet knowledgeable. If you're looking into Mini's or BMW's I would highly suggest going here. Willem is the absolute best!

Very pleased with my experience with Alexander MINI.  We got a pre-owned Clubman for a great price ad never felt pressured by the reps there.  When I found that one of the latches was broken on the trunk cover (the thing that slides to cover your stuff), I brought it back and they replaced it without giving me any hassle.  It was a really good gesture of customer service that they weren't going to fight with me on this, and that they wanted to make sure everything was just right, even the non-critical stuff, on a pre-owned car.

Kenny L. | 2014-10-27

Had a great experience yesterday leasing my first MINI Cooper Countryman.  I used Truecar.com to get my guaranteed price and then was contacted by several dealerships in the area.  Kim Scholz contacted me almost immediately and worked with me on getting the exact car at the exact (and lowest) price I was targeting.
My time at the dealership was great.  My Countryman was there waiting for me right in the front.
A terrific experience overall.

.  I had a stubborn ex who didn't want to cooperate in returning the old mini; and the staff at Alexander Mini showed a lot of compassion ; and Danny helped me tremendously.  I am soooo enjoying my new cute mini! Thank you.

Shelley C. | 2014-10-27

Kim is an awesome salesperson. I ordered my car over the phone, everything was easy and quick.

THESE PEOPLE ARE AMAZING!

I casually drove to the lot with my mother just hoping to test drive one and get a second opinion. I was in NO WAY thinking of  purchasing a car when I drove over. We arrived, they were having an event for MOTO-TOBER and a dealer named David approached us and decided to help us out. He asked what type of mini I liked, what colors I was into, and whether I was interested in leasing or owning. I gave him my run down of absolute necessities and unnecessary wants. He happily knew which car I would love right away. We drove it around and...... Presto magic--- I WAS OBSESSED! We went in to talk numbers. He asked what would be my ideal min and max monthly payment and he happily worked out a deal that was way more than I could have expected; and so I drove off in my dream car. Thinking about it now part of the reason it was so easy to decide to purchase this car is not only because it's amazing--- but my car guy David and even the finance guy Steve were all so chill and comforting. They don't make you feel like they're trying to sucker you into a deal, but genuinely trying to get you what you want. Am soooo excited about my countryman!

Great service on a used Mini! Thanks for the complimentary rental too!

Sean C. | 2014-10-23

The staff here was great, as was my deal.

Salesman David I. took very good care of me. He listened to my needs and wants.  I wanted to try out several models before I bought. When I had my top choices in mind he worked the best deals for me he could. (I know they were good because I had a family member who runs a dealership in another state check the numbers).

No tricks!  No pressure!!!  Fast, friendly service.

Eric W. | 2014-10-22

Bought my first Mini here. Always friendly and attentive to my needs. Will buy from Nick Alexander Mini again.

Raul M. | 2014-10-21

This is the second time I purchase a MINI from Nick's.  Let me just start how this happened.  I went in for my scheduled maintance (Ivan and his assistant are the best!)  when I spotted the new '15's.  Wow, can I just say how awesome they are?  I couldn't resist to ask,  George walked me thru everything and before I knew it I was driving out in a new mini!  George was honest and realistic in assisting me with car options, financing and my needs.  I 100% recommend this place and I recommend you ask for George.  Thanks again X2!

Caleche R. | 2014-10-17

I have had my Mini for 3 years now, and my service advisor Ivan is the best, most helpful advisor I could ask for! I actually look forward to going in to say hello to him! Every time I come in for service he goes ABOVE and beyond in helping me. If you are lucky enough to drive a Mini, I would choose Ivan as your service advisor if you can! Thank you for making me a very happy customer Ivan!! xoxo

Scotty B. | 2014-10-17

I really like these guys. I didn't buy my car there but I get it serviced at Alexander. They're efficient, up front about the length of time repairs take and stick to that time. So far, all positive experiences.

Laylee O. | 2014-10-14

Alexander Mini has offered the best customer service and maintenance support on any car I've had including an Audi and a BMW.  I am leasing my second Mini Cooper with them.  I would recommend them highly.  Thank you to all the sales team, support team, maintenance team and for all the helpful tips and follow ups.  Katerina Sophia C.

Callie P. | 2014-10-14

Nick Alexander Mini is by far the most amazing dealership. I worked with George Manjarrez who helped me to find the PERFECT car. He wasn't pushy and was  extremely helpful in finding me EXACTLY what I was looking for. Every question I had he had the answer to and the whole experience was really enjoyable. After deciding to buy the car I was brought over to Steve Oh in finance. He was also great and made sure I understood everything that I was signing. He was very patient and answered every question I had. I'm so excited about my new Mini and I couldn't thank George enough for all of his help! I would definitely recommend Alexander Mini. Ask for George and you won't be disappointed.

JL S. | 2014-10-08

The absolute worst experience trying to buy a car. I mean it. I have bought and sold cars for years. I went to order a new Mini S. It was middle of the day. I had in mind what I wanted. They had like 0 stock.

The "guys" sat around the receptionish and gossips the entire time I was there. Not one came over until I said, WTF. I then asked to see the Manager.

The manager was arrogent and a fool. He shot me a price for a car that could be ordered from another dealer and it was a joke. I was ready to buy a car grant you.

So I went back to my original dealer, Universal and did the deal. Nice, great guys, got it done in less than a half hour, and picked up my car in less than a week.

Never EVER go to Nick Alexander.

Yezie Y. | 2014-10-06

Had the most amazing service experience when I went in the other day with Ivan!!! Honestly, I had no idea that I even had part of my service plan left because I don't know who my service advisors were the last few times I went but nobody told me I still had that part of my plan until Ivan!!! Was really disappointed with MINI for a while with their service and attitudes of service advisors until Ivan came along. I used to love coming to MINI and always used to have a great experience until about a year ago and I tried to avoid coming back here at any cost but I have to say my most recent trip really changed everything. Staff here from bringing my car in to getting a rental to returning my rental and picking my car up was super friendly and accommodating. Oh, and I even accidentally took the rental key right before closing when I picked up my car from service!!! I felt terrible about it but Ivan let me know it was okay and even offered to pick the key up from me even though it was totally my fault. I dropped it off the next morning very early because that ended up being the better convenience but that was still a really nice offer. Overall, I would love to come back if Ivan would be my service advisor!!

Ron Szoke the car salesman went above and beyond to fulfill all my needs. When I arrived at the dealership the car already had tinted windows, the paperwork was extremely smooth, he covered all the car features , was extremely patient , provided loads of information, as well as the receptionist and the service department, I was out of the store in less than an hour, the dealership is highly capacitated , respectful and they honored all my requirements, the car was fully detailed , loaded with gas, and window tints , he also installed a smaller antenna , informed me about the keyless feature I couldn't have asked for a better customer service taking into consideration it was Saturday around 5 pm I would definitely return to this dealership and I highly recommend this store to my friends and relative.

P.S. the whole transaction was done through text messaging not once I was bothered with phone calls from the dealership or sales department ,  which is highly respectful  , it  took less than 24 hours with back and forth text messages , final price sent to my phone so as I arrived at the store the car was ready , detailed, tinted, and waiting for me. As easy and as good as it gets!!!!!!!!!!!!

Suzy R. | 2014-10-05

This is the most efficient , friendly dealership ever!  Ronnie in the  service  department is  knowledgeable  and  has taken great care with my car- very appreciative.

Lauren N. | 2014-10-04

After seeing 6 Mini Cooper dealerships in Southern California I finally found my perfect mini.  I really enjoyed my sales experience with Ron.  Very knowledgeable about the car and had a good time sharing all it's features with me.  He's actually quite hilarious and made us laugh a bunch.

I traded in my car and they were nice enough to match the quote carmax had given me.  We did have an issue with my previous car being under my mother's name.  She had to sign the car off in person.  I could tell they could sense the frustration I had and I seriously was going to shoot somebody if I didn't leave with my mini.  They offered to have Ron follow me to my mom's place in Reseda (45 min away) to have her sign the paper work.  I mean, talk about hospitality.

The following day I had realized I didn't check and clean out every compartment in my old civic that I had turned in.   I had left a sufficient amount of cash definitely worth getting back.  I called Ron and he retrieved it.  He assured me he would mail it back to my address.

We also worked with Steve Oh the finance manager.  Although it took some time to finally get in there with him, once we were in his office he made it quick and easy.  Very nice guy and very enthusiastic about the car I was going home with.

These guys were awesome.  Definitely my favorite of the 6 dealerships I visited.

Hoola B. | 2014-10-01

I usually take my Clubman over to South Bay Mini but a mix up in the tow service brought me over to Nick Alexander.  I can't give Ivan and his compadres more praise... thanks a bunch!  Everyone was very helpful and accommodating.  They even gave me a free rental cuz they're that cool!  Thanks heaps guys!!

Gisela S. | 2014-09-26

Love love  Nick Alexander's Mini Cooper dealership.  Just had my mini cooper serviced and I love Ronnie Gripp he is the best, the rock star of the service dept.  Every time I call he always takes the time to answer my questions and always always friendly.  When I see him he remembers me, always smiling and very honest.  I can not say enough about this dealership.  I have been to many but Nick's is the BEST and I love writing this review to share with everyone.  Danny Kim is a wonderful salesman who sold me my mini, he is awesome and so patient with my thousands of questions and calling him all the time.  If you are in the market for a new or used Mini Cooper please stop by and talk to them, they will work with you.

Lauren C. | 2014-09-19

Ivan gave incredible customer service and took amazing care of me. Everything was done on my mini so quickly and I feel very confidant and happy with the work that was done. Highly recommend.

elizabeth p. | 2014-09-17

I have always had a good experience here. After having had such a bad time actually buying my car at the Mini dealer in North Hollywood, I needed somewhere else to have it repaired.  My car is still under warranty so I always bring it here.                       It is a somewhat long drive from my home in Hollywood, but I prefer the service here.
My advisers have always been good; Jonathon Aragon was my last one. Even though I brought it in at noon last Saturday, his people located a much more serious problem than the dead battery I had. He was able to get a very fine loaner for me to take home while it was being fixed. I was really happy with the work they did for me here. Everyone is friendly and polite. I really am recommending this place.

Edward Y. | 2014-09-13

It is really good , they do not charge you when you do the normal inspection , the agent is nice ! They are nice . Respect customer , I like here !

Katie S. | 2014-09-11

Wonderful experience. Mike Scholz helped me. He was very nice, helpful, and knowledgeable.
I will definitely be referring my family and friends.
I love my new mini :-D

Sean D. | 2014-09-10

To be quite frank, I have never seen a more diligent and amazing effort to upgrade Yelp reviews as with Alexander MINI. It was not long ago that they had a consistent 2-3 star rating, with every horror story imaginable.

Of course, you still see them. But they are addressed by what seems by a very consistent push from their staff. Good for them.

I've come here over a 3 year period to service my car. I TRIED to buy the car from them, but their sales people were entirely disinterested over the phone to give me any information. So bought it in Long Beach instead.

They have a service manager here who I have a very bad feeling about. Several experiences have led me to question the honesty of what is happening in their service area, with this guy.

On one visit for that TIRE pressure issue that all Mini's seem to have, I was told that it wasn't the car but the tire that had a nail in it. Strange. Because I had the tire looked at by a garage before bringing it here and they said that it was the internal system (same comment from Mini in LB btw). Anyway, I was told that I needed a new this, and a new that. Total cost: 500 bucks or so. OK - I said. BUT place the damaged tire in the car. I want to see it. I want to see this "hole" with the nail in it.

Well, I went to pick up the car that night after hours (from reception) and guess what? TIRE was NOT in the car. Called this individual the day after to ask where it was? Oh - he forgot and threw it out.

So that was one experience. I have had several others. Sadly, my car broke down and needed to get serviced here a few months back. Even sadder, I got the same guy. I reminded him of the 2-3 times before where I believed something sketchy happened with my experience and this time - I made a big deal that my car would be double checked afterwards by MiniCorsa.

The car was repaired but still had some non-major issues with it that had to be fixed by Corsa at my expense. And to be an ass - Mr. Service left my car under that tree that sheds 100's of leaves so when I picked it up - it was filthy.

Look - I'm not mentioning his name. But I'm sure management knows who I'm talking about. As do any customers that dealt with him. I don't get the honesty vibe from these people, and showroom characters are very arrogant. Try Long Beach Mini or Minicorsa, had a much better experience there even with the drive.

Note: They have two Yelp websites and this was done, I believe, to disassociate themselves from their original reviews. Both pages have a good number of 4 and 5 star reviews now so I guess they should combine them lol

Just bought an ice blue mini from their company. This is my very first car in my life. I'm so excited. And I'm glad that I have it from the great staffs and company.

Very nice service and car!

Sean and David are awesome!
They did a great job in explaining the function of the car! They know all models well and are speaking from experiences!

Thank you for their services!
I hope you can get your dream cars from them!

I just bought my new (used) Mini Roadster Convertible from Alexander MINI. The dealership was one of three that had cars fitting my needs - all participants in USAA's auto purchase service. The comparison between this Mini Dealership and the one I didn't buy from is telling.

1. Response to Email Inquiry: Kim emailed and called me within 5 minutes of my request for information. She confirmed that the Mini I inquired about was a manual - exactly what I needed. The other Mini dealership responded by email. I trucked 50 minutes to that dealership to test drive that Mini only to learn that the Mini in question was misclassified as manual transmission... And was actually automatic. The sales rep, very nice guy, hardly apologized - shrugging it off as "something that happens a lot," and offering me a different Mini Roadster that was about $8k more...
2. No pressure during my visits: I made two stops at Alexander Mini. The first time I thought I could make a better deal elsewhere. Kim didn't pull out the hard sell. She thanked me for my time... Left the door open for me to return. My next stop (a CarMax) I had a most un-CarMax-like experience, replete with the sales rep not taking my "sleep on it" response to an inferior car (Mini with no "S" -same price as the Alexander MINI) and calling in the Sales Manager in an attempt to "close" the sale.

On my return the next day, Kim and Sherwin both assisted me and were very helpful. They recognized me, offered water (and hot dogs & hamburgers), and checked in on me once I had committed to purchase... While waiting to meet with the finance guy to go through the paperwork.

Hey! It's only two days since I made my purchase. But I have had to get a couple of items touched up (the car was used) and while arranging to get it into service - had two voicemails and a phone call keeping me updated. So far so good... And way better than most auto purchase experiences I've had!

We went to Alexander MINI simply because it was the closest dealership, and turned out we were very happy with the experience.

First talked to Sean, got to do some test drives (wanted to feel the difference between manual, automatic, and Sport), Sean wasn't pushy at all, and answered all sorts of questions.

Buying a new car is a big decision, so we were looking at other brands as well. We came back a couple of times with more questions and to see the MINIs again. Talked to George those times around, as Sean was unavailable. George was as helpful and again not pushy at all. After gathering more info, we gave them an idea of what we would be looking for in a MINI, Sean came back with a great car option.

We came back to talk details, they worked with us on numbers and options, etc... and we bought our first MINI!

We can't comment yet on the service dept. We will do that later when we get to experience it. But as far as sales, we were very very happy. Thank you, we love our new car!

Brett G. | 2014-08-24

We had an issue at another dealer getting the vehicle we wanted (we put $500 down to reserve a specific car, but they let it go).  We called Danny at Alexander and told him the story.  He worked the phones and found us the exact car we wanted - and at a better price!  The service when we arrived was fantastic from the moment we walked in.  Polite and he knew the vehicle inside and out.  I wouldn't buy a mini anywhere else.

R K. | 2014-08-22

I recently bought my 3rd MINI from Nick Alexander MINI.  By far, this was my most ENJOYABLE car purchase experience to date.

George Manjarrez and his Manager Robert Davis are non-stereotypical car salespeople . . . they not only 'heard' what I desired regarding my new MINI, but also 'listened.'  Plus, they gave me the best possible price immediately, so they took the dreaded negotiating out of the picture.

When my car arrived, it exceeded my expectations.  Meaning, I wanted a totally black car (inside and out).  Unbeknownst to me, a "Stealth" MINI Countryman S was waiting for me at Alexander MINI.  I was elated. I didn't even think to ask for a "Stealth" Countryman S design, as after researching, I felt certain that this 'blacked-out' auto was only available in Europe.  George and Robert proved me wrong, and kept this extra surprise to enhance my buying and 'pick up' experience.

In closing, as long as George Manjarrez and Robert Davies are still working with Nick Alexander, I'll return to this dealership for my 4th MINI in a few years.

Isabel V. | 2014-08-22

I had such an amazing experience working with David Iturralde!  He didn't try to hustle me and gave me a great deal on a 2014 hardtop.  He spent a long time helping me find exactly the car I was looking for.  He was available to answer my questions at any hour of the day or night.  I went to multiple mini dealerships in the LA area and my experience with Alexander Mini was by far the best.

Marla Y. | 2014-08-21

Danny Kim was our salesman and he was kind, courteous and efficient! We love our Mini. My husband bought me a Certified pre-owned Mini and surprised me with it on New Years Eve from Crevier Mini. He loved my car so much he was on the hunt for his own! He got Danny Kim on the phone a few months later and said let's go, and we drove over an hour to go test drive a Mini at Nick Alexander. Danny had agreed to a nice discount on the car over the phone and we were thrilled when he kept his word through the purchase of the car. The .9 financing couldn't be beat anywhere. We were very happy with this
transaction, better than most car buying experiences!

i want to take my time and actually write a review for my 5-star experience at Alexander MINI. There is no doubt that this dealer has the knowledge and skills to perform at their best and give customers an excellent service. I will be coming to this dealer from now on. i brought in my car on saturday without knowing what exactly was wrong with it, they were able to fix the problem and other things i was not aware of. Also, they provided me with a rental car for the entire duration my car was in the shop. I want to take the time and thank Ronnie, he was very helpful and never failed to keep me updated. I would definitely recommend everyone to come to Alexander MINI. Everyone is very helpful and sweet.

Eimear O. | 2014-08-16

Johnathon helped me in the service department he was so helpful and nice and get my car all sorted! excellent service!

Stephanie Z. | 2014-08-13

Jonathan helped me out in the Services Dept., and he did a great job at keeping me informed about the status of my vehicle. He also scored me a sweet BMW rental on the fly. Kinda didn't want to give it up...

Karis P. | 2014-08-13

I was assigned to Jonathan, but he was not around when I came to drop off my car.  Instead, Ivan quickly came to provide assistance letting me know that Jonathan was on his lunch break.  I appreciate the fact that they help one another out, so that the customer doesn't just wait and wait.  I was able to explain the issue and then drop off my car quickly.  I received a call and text when my car was ready.  I picked it up without a problem, and all was fine.  Because the car computer had to be reset, certain features I had programmed disappeared.  I called back, and Jonathan gave me a few suggestions, which I tried, and the issues were all corrected...  I don't like driving down Alameda, but I do appreciate good customer service!  :-D

Nicola G. | 2014-08-10

This is a long over due review.....  long story short.....  just want to say and give props to Ron  (Ronnie, Ronald ) Gripp my service Manager he was such a gem and did his best to try and accommodate me and my car situation.  I could only imagine how hard a service managers job can be especially when having to be the  bearer of such expensive news. He was professional and explained my car situation with great clarity. Thank you again Ron for being so awesome and thank you Nick Alexander for employing such upright and honest employees! Ron's a keeper!!

Cecy E. | 2014-07-31

Kim was awesome! She made buying my mini cooper convertible a breeze. I emailed her regarding my purchase needs and she was able to get me exactly the car I wanted. I was at the dealership for about 30 min to test drive it and run my credit. I decided to sleep on it. She was not pushy at all, which I really appreciated. She gave me various options for financing and leasing until I found the prefect option. I went in once again and brought my new baby home. I was at the dealership for about 30 min to sign paperwork and get another walk through of my vehicle. Steve, the finance guy was also very thorough of my options for extras and was not pushy at all. It was a wonderful experience!

candice u. | 2014-07-31

Ivan and the service team are all great to work with. I've not had one bad experience since I bought my car a year and a half ago. They are very earnest and transparent. Buying Mini is not cheap, so it's nice to know that the ongoing support and customer service are up to par.

Edwin S. | 2014-07-29

When I was buying the car- they couldn't be any more friendly. They were awesome.

Then I wrecked the vehicle in an accident and they were supposed to give me a refund on the tire protection insurance ... and it has been 5 months and they kept saying that they will take care of it and they don't.

Brian, their finance person, doesnt always return phone calls. The only time he returned my call was when I faxed him a letter copying the owner of the dealership.
He promised to take care of the $800+ check -- but it has been 2 months and still no luck. Here I am, still waiting for the check!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is a nightmare!!!!!

Erica A. | 2014-07-28

I would definitely recommend working with Ivan in the Service Department and Jose in the Car Loaner Department. Both are extremely helpful and friendly!

Thomas P. | 2014-07-24

This update is for service department.  I stop by to get oil change today, and they told me that my two rear tires got nails in them.  Since they are runflat tires, they want to replace them both at $245 per tire plus tax and installation.  I did not get any warning from TPMS when I drove the car in, so I figured that it could be just slow leak. Plus, both tires were only eight months old, so I prefer to repair if I can.  Anyway, I said no and the mechanic wasn't too happy with my decision, but my service adviser was a bit more understanding.  I drove to Direct Tires in Glendale, and they were willing to patch both tires if they are in good condition and repairable for $15 per tire.  They took wheels off and told me that nails did not penetrate both tires, so they pulled nails off and put tires back on.  They were not going to charge anything, but I gave the shop $10 for their effort and time.

I am glad I took my chances and have Direct Tires in Glendale look at both tires.  Alexander MINI service department is into ripping off customers, so I recommend not to listen to them for any service beyond manufacturer's warranty.

Mary S. | 2014-07-24

Jonathan Aragon was awesome in the service dept. He was extremely patient and knowledgeable in explaining what needed to be done to my MINI and never got flustered.  He provided exceptional service and Alexander MINI should really appreciate the fact that they have such a gem in him.  Thanks again Jonathan for your help!

Natalie B. | 2014-07-24

This is my first ever Yelp review which should tell you how passionate I am feeling right now. Unfortunately, I am passionately irate. I had an issue with my mini last Wednesday. I made the decision to go to Nick Alexander because they claim to be Mini experts. My car had a problem where the check engine light had come on and the car was stuttering. I made an appointment with Ivan and dropped my car off at 10.30am. The first question he asks me is if I have replaced the spark plugs, I say I don't know. (I found this odd but it made sense later) At 5pm that evening no-one had called me back so I rang them. I was told that they still hadn't properly diagnosed the car and were "doing further tests" I may be a girl but I understand that hooking the car up to that computer thing and diagnosing a car does not take 7 hours. The following day I rang back at midday and was told the issue was a leaking gasket cover. The part costs $60. The diagnosis was $180 and the labor $180. I'm thinking, wow - that's expensive for a diagnosis and labor but he promised this was the issue and the problem had been diagnosed correctly.  Ivan at that point suggested I replace the spark plugs for an additional $170. I asked was it necessary, he said "no, we just recommend it based on year of the vehicle and miles" I felt like this was a clear attempt at upselling so I passed and went to collect my car. Guess what? The problem still persists - The exact same as before. I call Ivan, he returns my call 2 hours later and is extremely rude. He interrupts me as I'm talking and patronizes me when I try to explain what's going on. Now he claims that he thinks the issue is the spark plugs and to bring the car back and they will replace them for $225 plus tax. He says " Call any mechanic, they will tell you that if oil is dripping into spark plugs it will cause a misfire" Only that's not what he said in the first place. He merely suggested replacing them for wear and tear and even now reiterates on the phone that they didn't look like they needed replacing due to oil at the time but maybe now they do (2 days later) Are you kidding me??? If the problem still persists then it was not fixed in the first place and I should either get a refund of the $420 I originally paid or they should fix it. Is that too much to ask? Evidently it is. I'm at a complete loss. I feel completely taken advantage of. I have spent $436 and my car is the exact same as it was before I dropped it off. Terrible customer service. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.

Think twice about servicing your Mini at this particular dealership or any dealership bearing the Alexander franchise name. I bought a Mini Cooper S convertible here years ago and had it serviced for a re-occurring check engine light plus a problematic engine that was rev'ing really high. My car was 12 miles brand new when I took it in for service. The service department called me after the initial inspection and said that the car would have to stay an extra day for repairs. Once the work was completed, I returned to pick up my car and noticed that the car now had 300 miles on it. I asked why the car had so many miles on it. The response was "test drive" to see if it was fixed. Unfortunately, they had driven my new car a lot more than me and I shared my frustration that 300miles worth of test driving seemed a bit excessive. I complained to no avail and then I asked to speak with the manager, who had already left for the day. I then asked for the managers, manager and out came Nick Alexander himself. To be fair Nick was shocked at the delta between the miles when the car was dropped off and what was added while it was in for repair. He couldn't do anything except apologize and offered me to pick anything out of the Accessories catalog. Unfortunately, a couple of key chains or license plates cover wasn't going to cut it for me. My advice is that you pay close attention to the miles on your car when you drop it off and what's been added when you pick it up.

This dealership made me feel very uncomfortable. Took my mini in a couple of months ago because the low tire light came on so i decided to take it in. I was promptly greeted by a man. I explained my situation and I also told him that I think I needed an oil change, even though I had recently had one, because I felt that my car ran funny. I knew something was wrong. He quickly dismissed me and told me my car was fine because the service light had not come on. After looking at my tire, I was told I could get my tire patched up. This man actually gave me the name/number of his friend's tire shop and sent me to him stating that mini tires were too expensive. Keep in mind this is one of the dealership's workers. I said thanks but ignored him. No one would patch my tire (because of the location of the nail) so I had to return the next day. They took it in. I explained my situation to another young man (Ronnie or Robbie-can't recall his name) working there and he said he'd take a look at my car. SWEET. Next day, I came to pick it up. I was right. My car had been leaking oil and the problem was fixed, as well as my tire. I left very satisfied even after the whole initial situation. A couple of days later, I called because my window no longer automatically went up and I had a question about what was done exactly and if it effected my gas mileage at all. The young man was very rude to me. He kept huffing and puffing and seemed very annoyed to be answering my questions. I wish I could huff and puff when I'm making my monthly payment to MINI. I've been to two other MINI dealerships and they've been nothing but helpful. I've never had a problem. I will never be returning to this particular dealership again. My concerns were not taken seriously and I'd like to deal with an adult when talking on the phone, not a child.

Ivan was very helpful and informative about my car's battery situation. He kept things very transparent and explained everything to me in clear terms. My Battery failed last weekend. I took it into Mini (Southbay), and they ran a diagnostic test. They indicated that the battery was not going to be covered under the 4YR - 50,000 mile warranty due to my driving behavior. I told Ivan, that we used the Mini Countryman for short distance driving, since my wife's commute is less than a mile from our house and her work. Ivan clearly explain that is most likely a main contributor to our battery dying, but that this should not exclude our battery from being replaced under the 4YR warranty. I was upset at this point with Southbay Mini because they charged me for something that should have been covered under the warranty. Especially when I told them that we did not leave our car on with the headlights and radio running for hours on end. We have the comfort access system and the daylight sensor that detects when our headlights should turn on when there is not enough sunlight. So when we exit our car, we assumed that pressing "lock" on the door handle will shut down everything (besides the fact that we turned off the engine and power button before we even lock our doors). In our minds, we would use the car as any normal person would use their car without egregiously leaving electronic components on (e.g. headlights). In the end, Ivan was very upfront about this and understood my situation. I will be calling MINI USA corporate to complain about this since getting things fixed on a MINI Cooper is not cheap. I'm glad I got a second opinion from MINI Alexander.

I actually went in for an oil change, which was quick and fast. I had also asked them to check out a potential problem with the car, and Ivan had his technician check it out too (even though it wasn't the main reason why I brought my car in). The car came back to me clean and washed. It was great that Ivan took the extra step to answer my battery issues too!

First off, let me say that if you want to buy a MINI, come here. Speak with David Ituralde (and sales manager Jerod Pederson). They will work with you to find the car you really want, and definitely go the extra mile when it comes to being at a price point that works. I did a ton of research beforehand as this was going to be a large purchase, and knew what I wanted. after having looked at their inventory, there were two cars which almost fit the bill. I say almost because with MINI if some package options aren't included in the factory delivered car, they really can't be installed after the fact. Of the two cars, one had already been sold (but the website wasn't updated -- my loss). We ended up purchasing a car which had 99% of the options we wanted, in a color we initially didn't really want to look at, but when see in the flesh: Awesome. David was patient, knew his stuff, and was very helpful and not pushy at all. Above all, he was courteous, respectful, and very personable: not the stereotypical car salesman type. He's been at Nick Alexander MINI for years, as has Jerod, so you know these guys are the real deal. Here's the only thing I can comment on which may not even be a negative depending on how you look at it: they wouldn't release the car until it looked perfect, even though that meant over an hour's wait for a brand new car detail. But during that time David was attentive and kept us updated through the process.

Just bought a 2011 MINI from Sherwin and is very happy to recommend him and the whole of Nick Alexander MINI to anyone looking to purchase a mini. He is very down to earth, isn't pushy and is as friendly as if you'd known him for years. He is also very knowledgeable about minis which helped a ton. Plus I love my new mini!! Something I have been wanting for years now! Now I am a proper Brit driving a proper British car :D

K G. | 2014-07-01

I bought my first MINI at Carmax. I am a MINI fan. So when I relented that the baby seat did not fit in my 2 door MINI. We went to test drive the Countryman.
Wow! What a difference than going to Carmax! Our sales guy Sherwin was great! I felt no pressure to buy and appreciated his laid back enthusiasm. Sherwin found us the car we wanted the financing we wanted and we realized it was meant to be! Thank you Sherwin! We love our new Countryman! It's Smurfy! If we ever need another car. We know where we are going.

The place is in the middle of nowhere, but the dealership is nice and clean. GEORGE was my point sales person who took care of me. He's a super star. He brought in a car I thought I wanted and gave me a good price. I came in and saw that it was different from what I pictured. We ended up getting another car from the lot: different color with a sports package. Because of the higher price from what we initially wanted to pay, George did his best to accommodate. He gave us a great price and we drove off with our new mini, very happy. Thanks George!!

One of the best car-buying experiences I've ever had.  New to the brand, so I asked a bazillion questions and insisted on driving 5 different cars.  Sherwin, my amazing sales guy, was super patient, friendly, and there wasn't even the hint of pressure to buy or to move more quickly.  Loved it and would recommend Alexander Mini to anyone looking for a great car and a great purchase experience!

April F. | 2014-06-29

Except for the location, this place is great!  I just bought a 2011 Mini from here and so far so good.  I bought my car from Sherwin in sales and he is great. Not the "typical sales guy."  Down to earth, easy-going, not pushy or overbearing,  extremely helpful and patient, goes beyond, and wins you over with his upbeat personality.  Overall I was impressed by the staff, office environment and car buying process.  Anyone who is thinking about buying a Mini should check this place out. The other two Mini dealerships I went to was in Ontario and Universal City.  This one was my favorite.

SALLY Y. | 2014-06-25

Their service department was not bad but I had a terrible experience with their SALES department and overall I think their departments are lack of communication, very.

I am strongly NOT recommending sales person JEROME WILLIAM. It is really hard to break the negative stereotype (pushy; don't care once the deal is signed; etc) of sales people because of the sales people like Mr. William.

So my lease of mini was about to end in March so I went there in Feb to buy out the car. During the negotiation, Mr. William promised they could update the navigation system of my car complimentarily and he would COMMUNICATE TO SERVICE DEPARTMENT. So on the day I signed the lease, Mr. William and another sales person (Sarah) told me their people from service department will call me on Monday to schedule the appointment for navigation update as well as the annual maintenance.

I didn't receive the call the following week so I emailed Sales to follow up and I reminded them again to coordinate with their service department in terms of what we discussed, and Sarah promised again they would communicate to the service.

Then I finally received the call (this was in mid-Feb). During the call, I told them I am not in a rush to get the maintenance done but please make sure the loaner car you give me is mini since I feel more comfortable with mini and don't want to mess up with your loaner.  And they promised without hesitance. So we scheduled the appointment to be 9AM at the beginning of April.

The appointment was set 1.5 month in advance but when the appointment day approached, they told me they would be at pick-up place at 11:30AM. I guess they didn't expect I have a full time job and I can just wait at home for them to come during a weekday? so they came to my workplace to pick the car and it turned out the loaner was not mini as I requested 1.5 months ago.

I can let all these disorganized incidents go but then when I was talking to the service guy, he was not told at all about all the details I discussed with Sales so I have to repeat myself. He told me the maintenance could be done within one day, but the navigation system update takes time since he needs approval blah blah.
So after he drove my car away, I received call from their service department and I repeated again what was discussed with Sales. Service told me they were not told by anyone in sales department for the navigation update so 1) they need approval and go through some process and 2) they need to order CD for gps. So it ended up taking more than 1 week for the whole process.

If Sales communicated to service department as they promised on a timely basis, I could have got my car back the next day. During the whole process, I heard nothing from Mr. Williams and no apologies whatsoever.

Another side story is that I also asked Mr. Williams and Sarah in Feb before I signed the lease if they can fix the little scratch and dent and their response was they will see what they can do. I sort of know they wouldn't really do anything but it doesn't hurt asking and I know they didn't reject at the first place since they wanted me to sign the contract. But in the email with Sarah and Mr. Williams, they said they would communicate to service department when I specifically asked about the dent and scratch. All I want to say is that if you can't do it, it is okay just to tell me you can't but your vague answer is a waste of time for me since I was having different expectation.

And more ridiculously, in the end, I received a call from LORI DISILVA, Customer Relations Manager. Although she claims the purpose of her call is to address my concerns but it was actually sort of blaming me contacting too many different people. Who likes to repeat themselves again and again on the same issues? If they have communication among their departments, this hassle would never have happened and now you guys are accusing me? I told the Sales so many times to coordinate with Service but they didn't and that's why I have to talk to different people. Not sure how this person is a Customer Relation Manager but she was basically blaming the customer and was pretty rude on the phone! And then she said she could be my main contact going forward and this also turned out to be a joke (So last week, I accidently lost my keys including my car key so I emailed her to ask for the road assistance etc. and I NEVER got a reply. )

NOT RECOMMENDING THIS LOCATION FOR SALES.

Thank you the Alexander Mini team and especially DAVID for helping me trade in my 2011 Mini for a 2013 Countryman - Absolutely a dream purchase! And the entire transaction was super seamless. Test drove, traded in, and drove out with my new car all within 2 hours!

Love my Mini + love the service at this location! THANKS!

Michelle J. | 2014-06-17

Alexander MINI always delivers TOP service!! All of the staff are friendly, professional and get things done quickly. The office is clean and the lounge area is stacked with good coffee and tea and is very relaxing. My experience working with Dez and Ron was great. LOVE MY MINI!

Keith H. | 2014-06-17

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! I picked my 3rd car from Nick Alexander this weekend. I was at the dealership for literally only 1 hour and left with a brand new mini cooper for my daughter. Rob and Sean made the experience not only painless but pleasurable. I also saved 20% of the next best dealer's offer. It is well worth the drive downtown!

I just got my 2nd Mini from Alexander Mini!  The guys really went above and beyond this time around.  The service was fantastic from Jerome & Ron.  It's a long story, but truly, they rock.  I highly recommend!  And I LOVE my car!!!

Super easy and quick. No hassle! My go to place definitely.

I just got a new mini and I love it!

David Iturralde assisted me with this process and was excellent!!!! Six months earlier I had gone to the same location to discuss my options, but was not thrilled.  David was personable and made me feel great about moving forward with leasing a mini.  He also called me to follow up on my experiance to ensure all is well.  I too work in sales/ customer service and understand how important it is.  I look forward to refering anyone intrested in a mini to David Iturralde at Nick Alexander Mini L.A.

Let me start the review by saying, if I had chosen to write a review about this place a couple months ago it would have been horrible.  Now, since I know they have someone as helpful as David, I can leave a positive review.

I basically had bought a 2007 Mini Cooper S a couple of years and it has been a mess since I purchased it. Issue after issue, which led to my car being inoperable. I made one last call and was given David to speak with and handle my issue. He did all that he could to assure that I was able to trade in the piece of junk I had, and get a new car at a very affordable and fair price. Thanks to him, I have a working car now and dont have to continue to make payments on a car I wasnt even using.

He was very helpful, followed up with me, and ensured all my bases were covered. He even came in on his day off to get all the paperwork finished. Honestly, thank you David. You were so very kind to me and my family. Every dealership should have someone as helpful and genuinely kind.

If you are looking to find a car, make sure you ask for David. :)

Jen S. | 2014-05-27

I hate buying cars.  The whole process annoys me.  The test driving, the haggling, the committment, the waiting, the paperwork.  I turned in my latest lease this weekend and knew I wanted to lease another MINI.  Told salesperson George what I wanted, Cooper S with satellite radio - I'm pretty easy to please.  George found what I needed (along with some other features I didn't realize I wanted, like auto climate control and headlights) and I got a decent price, I think particularly for the S which blows the non-S AWAY.  And the whole process took less than two and a half hours.  Kudos also to finance guy Brian as well for making the process easy.

i need to write another review on this awesome dealership.

mini drivers are a special bunch of people.  we are driver enthusiasts and this place takes the cake in special service to us.  i've worked with other mini dealers in SF, and three others in so-cal.

i honestly can say that the service from both, the mini service and sales divisions blow away any other dealership.  i am a third time mini owner, 2004, 2009 & a very happy owner of a 2014.

my service rep got switched during one of my maintenance appointments to DEZ BRINKMAN... and that was a blessing from the car-ma-gods.  he went beyond protocol that a service rep needed to do and took a million steps further in improving maintenance for my 2009 mini.   his expertise & passion for minis had my '09 running better, but he also was very honest on the capacity & state of my engine.

i believe i have good intuition about people.  i can see through someone when he/she wants to up-sell you a car, but in this case,  DEZ's passion & knowledge led me to the 2014, my fave of the three.... trust me, i loved my 2004 & missed it a lot while i was driving my 2009.

my new search led me to the awesome, SARA BRINKMAN, who found my dream 2014 mini cooper s..... as a woman, it was refreshing to deal with another woman in the car industry.  SARA knows her cars and really gets it.  what i mean by "get it", i mean she hears what the customer wants and truly delivers.  she asked what were my absolute wants in my next mini and didn't try to coax me into something else.  she was extremely detailed oriented and combed through the system for the right mini.... she had me come in to test the manual "s" model and a cooper automatic....  she wanted to cover all bases w/ me before we started searching for the mini that was not only right for me, BUT perfect.

and we did.

one of the many examples of her awesome service.  she gave me a loaner mini to drive so could i traded my 2009 mini sooner & wait for my 2014 to arrive.

REQUEST SARA for sales and DEZ for your mini service.  & they both followed up after your appointments to make sure you're 110% happy & the mini is in top form.

they are BEYOND AWESOMENESS!

*ps.... if anyone in upper management reads this: they need to have SARA order & put in design specs for the minis that are shipped to the usa..... please utilize her talents because she went through so many cars that didn't have this or that.... needed that.. who is ordering this?  she works directly with the clientele and knows what they want in their minis.... & DEZ.... he needs to own a dealership.... he understands a lot of the biz and caters accordingly to each customer individually.... i am soooooo so so impressed.

Patrick L. | 2014-05-24

I've had 4 Mini Coopers in my life, 2 of which have been with Nick Alexander.  My next one will be with Nick Alexander...and so will be the one after that.  The reason is service.  They take care of their Drivers.  With lots of places as soon as you drive off a lot that's it but not at Nick Alexander.  Their service people are top notch.  Dez for example is a great guy and great service manager.  No need to go on.  Email me or just go down there and find out for yourself.

Malou M. | 2014-05-23

Well I have to say I was very much surprised when my Mini Countryman was delivered to my house with no knowledge. I was getting ready to go to Alexander Mini today to pick out a Mini.  Thank you Jerod and his crew, Mae and Lalo for the surprise delivery with Jepoy all behind it.  Thank you NICK for the awesome car.  Nick cant say no.

B P. | 2014-05-23

I just bought my 2nd Mini from Nick Alexander Mini. Once again they have done an excellent job of finding exactly what I wanted at the very best price. I did shop around and nobody could match their price. On top of that they were pleasant to deal with. I can't believe I am writing a positive review for a car dealership, but these guys deserve it.

Irina V. | 2014-05-17

I would give this dealership a 10 star rating if I could!!! WOW!!!! They are beyond amazing and really REALLY exceeded my expectations. I got my Mini Cooper S convertible last year. They gave me the best leasing offer I could of gotten anywhere else and found me exactly the car I wanted with the right package, rims, etc.. George the sales person was super helpful, nice and most of all sincere he got me an amazing deal. He even included a little English bulldog (toy) sticking out the window when I came to pick up my car.
But this review is actually about their service department!!! I mean Jesus Christ these guys Ivan and Jose were the most pleasant sweet people!!! This was my first service and they had a loaner standing there waiting for me exactly the car I asked for. Beautiful brand new 2014 mini Paceman S!! White with bad ass black wheels!!! I loved that car so much it was a pleasure driving it for several days.
Now the real reason I wanna give these guys 10 stars for service is I had 2 big dents in my passenger door. Really deep and it made me so sad when I drove around to see them in my right mirror.. I took my car to a body shop and the guy there told me it's gonna cost me a fortune and it's very hard to get them out and I should just live with them and not be bothered because this is just a car.
Well guess what Ivan got those dents out for me both for a very reasonable low price of $150!!!!! I am forever grateful!!
My door looks amazing it looks brand new.. And I was so happy when I picked up my car today..... You guys the BEST!! Keep up the amazing work!!!!

Cindy Y. | 2014-05-14

First of all, my MINI rocks!! Love her.

And, I loved my experience with everyone at Alexander MINI.  Sara Brinkman was my sales advisor and she was very cool, knowledgeable, low pressure and fun.  I test drove about 6 cars and she was very patient with me, especially since I was there until almost 10pm closing the deal on the car.  The sales manager was helpful in getting me to the deal I felt comfortable with and the finance manager explained all of the black & white so I walked away pleased.

Totally recommend Sara & the Alexander Team.

St B. | 2014-05-14

I bought my Mini Cooper from here because the sales guy, Majd, was the least pushy, patient and most helpful car sales man I have ever met! He made the process easy and stress free and helped me choose my car without any of the usual pushy salesman techniques. I went to another Mini dealer in LA the day before and did not buy the car there because I felt under pressure and a little confused. I could not have had a more opposite experience at Nick Alexander. This was 2 months ago and my Mini is running perfectly. Could not be happier with it.

Michael C. | 2014-05-13

Last year on July 4th I went into to Nick Alexander Mini to trade in my cooper coupe for the Countryman. This is the first time EVER that the car buying process was fast, easy and non stressful.

I am so happy with my new Countryman, have had no issues with the car. I recently also took it in for my first service, it was a breeze.

This is what car buying and service should be like...

Definitely recommend Nick Alexander over any other dealer out there !

Christina L. | 2014-05-05

Completely satisfied customer :) Majd, Jerome and Brian + all staff where all of so much help.  Definitely made my first Mini purchase a great one!

Amanda R. | 2014-04-28

Best service every time. Dez is my favorite, he always answers my questions and is amazingly knowledgeable. Love them!

Brandon G. | 2014-04-27

Please note that this 5 star review is coming from a previously bitter new yorker.

The first thing I would like to say is that entire process was seamless and stress free. I would definitely purchase another vehicle from this dealership.

I was very specific about what I wanted and what I was willing to spend and my needs were met beyond expectations, yes I know this sounds cheesy and unheard of.

I worked directly with David; he was calm, cool and all around awesome to work with. Once we were passed to finance to complete all paperwork the process was just as seamless.

Very happy with my 2013 Mini Cooper S!

Cydney M. | 2014-04-23

I am seriously impressed with everyone who works at this dealership.

Cars:  5/5 Stars

About a month ago we stopped in to drive some Mini Coopers.  My husband and I had been driving various convertibles for a few weeks and I kept coming back to the Mini Cooper because it is such a good value for the amount you will spend.  Just recently Mini Cooper released a new Mini for 2014, but I got a really good deal on a 2013 Mini Roadster John Cooper Works from Sara Brinkman.  See my review for Alexander Imports too.

Service:  5/5 Stars

Everyone is nice at this dealership.  You don't feel attacked by sales people when you walk in.  They let you walk around in peace to look at the cars, but they always have someone available if you have questions or want to drive one.  As I mentioned above Sara was our sales person and she was great.

Misc.:

We test drove all the new models last weekend on their track for their Bloody Original Event and had so much fun.  All the staff really went beyond the call of duty to make it a fun time for all.  I got to race the Mini Cooper S and regular Mini Cooper around the track a few times with a professional driver.  All the pros were great, including Dez, from the Service Dept. who races Mini Coopers after hours.  This guy was seriously flying around the track.  They treated us to a nice lunch from the Fry Girls Truck too.

Pete S. | 2014-04-23

The review is for the bloody original launch event from this past weekend.
miniusa.com/api/event/rs…
At the event, you get to drive the Mini cooper (various models, including the countrymen and the S model) on a parking lot course , coned off, however the heck you want.

Well...try not to run into the cone, that is.

They really should have this catered to the older drivers, it would make such great youtube video.

Anyways, I got to try to out the countryman and though it was a bit on the heavier side, I got to test drive a brand new car with 42 miles on it. Turning corners as hard as I could and am pretty convinced that this would be my next car. (maybe the hardtop model would suffice for me since it gets better mileage and its cheaper if you buy the basemodel and it now gets 42 MPG if you buy the manual base model)

There were also food trucks (frygirl and getshaved) and drinks available throughout the day. There were some problems getting our food at first since we didn't get a food ticket but we solved that after going all the way back to the table. We also missed the shaved ice truck since they closed up early . Darn it.

What was cool is that I got a keychain for checking in here. Thanks Mr. Alexander!

The tunes were great, as there was a DJ spinning tunes. There were car girls helping with the check in.

The lines waiting to drive the cars, however sucked.
Since no one wanted to drive the base model, I waited and waited and waited in line and it was as if the guy who did the crowd control didn't acknowledge me. Don't get me wrong, I did get to drive the countryman, but being realistic as a buyer, I just wanted to drive 1 lap to see what the difference would be.

Overall, it was a good experience here and I was glad I came and drove the mini. Almost a 5 star experience for this event and always room for improvement. The staff here were friendly, so I rounded up. I hope to get similar treatment when the time comes to purchase a car here.

Alan G. | 2014-04-23

We bought our mini at Alexander mini and were very happy with their service. Our salesman was called George. He made the whole experience a pleasant one. He was friendly and helpful and worked hard with us to get a deal we were both happy with. I will definitely return there, and have no qualms about recommending them to future buyers.

Big Shout out and Thank you to Alexander Mini for the best Mini Cooper Service!! Carl Tetiva (Service Manager) & Ivan Montejano (Service Advisor) took great care of my Mini, arranged a loaner car, fixed my car issues, & even had my car washed!! Excellent Service w/ a smile!! I would recumbent Alexander Mini to EVERYONE!! & plan to purchase my next car from them too! Sincerely, Lorraine Lewis - Singer Femme Fatale

Tony S. | 2014-04-10

I had an issue with my car and posted about it here on Yelp. Within an hour, Robert (the sales manager) called me and offered to address the problem. The next day I dropped off my car, was giver a brand new Cooper S as a loaner and all of my issues were addressed immediately and they did a fantastic job! Can't thank them enough.

Morten S. | 2014-04-10

A big shoutout to Ronnie from Alexander MINI. I highly recommend.

Nadia B. | 2014-03-09

Update:  I would still give them 0 stars if I could.  Shortly after my first review, I did receive an email from a manager, but it was nothing more than a standardized "sorry."  Completely unacceptable considering the how terrible my initial experience there was.   I continue to receive detail service coupons from them to this day.  I wouldn't return to this place if they paid me!   Horrible place, please avoid it if you can.

Christie D. | 2014-03-05

I've been driving my Mini S Hardtop for a few days now, and I can honestly say that I absolutely love it!

Mini Coopers are one of my favorite cars and I've always wanted one. My mom and I called/emailed several dealers, but most weren't as helpful as Alexander MINI. David Ituralde was the only sales person that was able to answer any questions we had. As soon as we stepped into the dealership he welcomed us. He invited me to go on the test drive with the Mini that I was interested in and talked about the car the whole time.

After the test drive was the fun part. David will help you get the desired pricing that you want. Since it was my first time leasing a car, I thought the process would be overwhelming and frustrating. But David made it seem so easy for me that I wasn't as nervous as I anticipated. As soon as I was approved, I was transferred to Steve Oh in the Financial Services. He was a great help as well and friendly!

I'm so glad I picked Alexander MINI. I will be visiting them in the future.

If you are interested in having a very no-nonsense, professional and positive car buying experience, it exists at this dealership.  Ask for Madj Anaim, as your sales advisor and you will not be disappointed.  Madj is very patient, responsive and is willing to go the extra mile.  He assisted me with ending my lease on another car, as a matter of fact Alexander paid for the last 2 payments, and in turn I drove away with a new Countryman with amazing financing.  I'm a very satisfied customer and I'm certain that you will be too.

I have two mini both I don't buy at Nick. I do service them at Nick. In the pass I had alot of issue with the service department.  Then I meet Ivan which I recommend to everyone to be ur service advisor. Him and Robert (the best mechanic there) are the best people to work with.

Kristin M. | 2014-02-25

I bought my car here and was promised all sorts of service that didn't turn out to be included with the price of my car, which is merely annoying.  BUT the worse things are:  I was stranded over a ravine due to a known technical failure (first 911 call of my life) and when i brought the car in, they said "oh yeah, we know about this issue" but they did not (and do not) send recall notices.  Then i was in a high-impact accident and the air bags didn't deploy and Nick Alexander doesn't know how to address.  Nothing on my onboard computer works and they don't know how to fix it.  And every time i take my car in for service, it takes somewhere between 4 and 7 hours to do routine maintenance.  NOT recommended.

DESMOND BRINKMAN!!!!.... I love my Mini and have always only taken it to various Mini dealers for basic services. But after taking it to Alexander MINI and working with Desmond Brinkman, I'll never take it anywhere else again!!!!.... He's literally provided me with the best service I've ever had from any Mini or non-Mini (with previous cars) dealer.... He really does go the extra mile for you! Next time you need to take your Mini in for any type of service, BELIEVE ME, even if you dont live by them, its worth making the trip out to Alexander Mini for the great staff and service in general, and for Desmond Brinkman in particular!

Diane S. | 2014-02-14

Sara Brinkman is a fantastic salesperson. There was absolutely no pressure to buy and she went out of her way to find what we wanted and we did it all by emai -no kidding!! We went back and forth until we found the right car and then we went to Alexander Mini and thats when we met Sara in person AND bought our new CTM S- which we love!  Thank you Sara.

I couldn't be happier!! Customer service is outstanding and David Ituralde got me into the car I wanted! He is the go to guy for getting into your dream Mini!! Whenever you visit Alexander Mini all service and sales reps make you feel right at home, and make sure you walk out with a overall great visit... That is great customer service and what will keep me in my Mini!

Elle R. | 2014-02-11

I went in yesterday and had the BEST car buying experience of my life. My salesperson was David Ituralde. When I walked in he was working with another client, but still gave me the attention I deserved. We went on a test drive and I was very specific in what I wanted in my car, and he delivered. I  was going in to just to get pricing, but he was so through and helpful and extremely patient with every question I had.

Alexander MINI gave me such a great deal, that it was hard to say no. I had gotten screwed from the last dealer that sold me a car; I was extremely hesitant to purchase a new car again. But I got such an AMAZING deal and I drove off the lot in my new MINI that day!

David is the salesperson you really want to have. He made the whole experience quite simple. I understand why he has so many awards! He is completely knowledgeable about the cars, bc he used to work in the Parts Dept.; his customer service is impeccable, and his knowledge about the brand sets him apart from any salesperson I've ever worked with. We sat in the car and he showed me how everything worked, then he made me show him how everything worked, so he knew that I knew the car! 5 Stars for him, the Finance Guys, and the Dealership as a whole. I am sooooooo happy with this purchase! I will be recommending this Dealership//David to Anyone & Everyone!! Thanks Guys!!

Where do I begin? First off, I can't believe I waited this long to write a review...
I've been enjoying my new mini for almost exactly one month!
Alexander MINI deserves 10 stars-- as does my advisor David Ituralde!!!

My search for a MINI lasted two months, and took me to 5 dealerships... 3 of them MINI dealerships! One in Atlanta, and two in San Diego.
Alexander MINI was by far the best on every front-- customer service, making the process quick, easy, and enjoyable, waiting room facility, overall design/layout of the dealership... I could go on.

David helped me get a great deal and listened to EXACTLY what I was looking for, and found exactly that for me! He did not try to sell me on something I didn't want, and was very friendly without being too much. I didn't feel like I got "sold" on a car.. Instead, I truly felt like David just wanted me to be in the MINI I had been looking for.
Most importantly, without putting any pressure on.

Being in San Diego, he sent me many many photos of a few cars I was torn between, and was very straightforward the entire time. When I drove up to LA, I got there just before the dealership was scheduled to close, yet he never rushed me, let me take a test drive, and stayed until of the business was done and I finally had my dream car. They had the BEST selection out of all the other dealerships I went to, and we the most helpful and efficient.. not wasting anyone's time, as other places do.

No need to read between lines, etc-- everything was in the open.
100 % WORTH THE DRIVE!! ... especially because then I got to drive my MINI home! :)

We visited Alexander MINI on 1/19/14 and had a great experience.

We initially went in to buy some motor oil for my MINI, but Daniel, the parts manager, was so helpful and knowledgeable he helped us find many other small parts we needed for the car. Most people are hesitant to buy parts at the dealer, but he offered us great prices that we couldn't pass up. He answered all of our questions and went beyond by giving us other helpful information. The customer service he provided was amazing.

I will definitely come back here whenever I need something for my MINI and I'd recommend it to anyone.

I had a mini cooper 8 years ago.
I came by Nick Alexander, to get some pricing on the Countryman edition.
I had just come from Carmax, where they offered me 10k for my element.

David Ituralde - My Mini Motoring Advisor was amazing! He arranged for Nick Alexander to buy my element, matching Carmax's price! One less trip to Carmax and one less trip back to NA to get my new mini! I am driving off the lot shortly!

Such great service, I will be recommending to all of my friends!

Thank you David! You are a Rock Star!

The Service Department at Nick Alexander was extremely disappointing. My window was making some noise and I brought it in to have it looked at. I had an appointment for a Monday but I was not able to make it, so I brought it in on the Friday before thinking it would not be a big deal. But it was...it was before Christmas and a lot of people had their cars in for service. The drive for me is over an hour, but I thought it would be worth the drive. My advisor Ivan said that it was the tint that was causing the noise. I decided I was going to come back another day, the next available appointment was in a couple of weeks to have it looked at. But then Ivan said that he was able to talk to one of the BMW mechanics and they would help him out and look at my window. All of the loaner cars were out, so I was able to get a rental car. Ivan said that my car may not be done until 5pm. I had made the drive and was willing to stay out there, I arrived at 9am. Around 3:30 I decided to drive back, turn in the rental and check on my car. Ivan was on the phone with a customer so another employee told me he would let him know I was there. I waited and waited but did not hear from my advisor. My original salesman Will (now the used car sales manager) saw me and took excellent care of me. Finally my advisor came over after Will talked to him and told me the window was adjusted and it should be fine. I drove away , decided to test the window and IT STILL made noise. I was soooo upset, I had spent all day out there and my window was still NOT fixed. So by this time, it was almost 6pm and I was given a loaner and I was told the shop foreman would look at it. Since it was the weekend before Christmas, it would not be done until Thursday. Monday, the week of Christmas I did not hear from my Advisor so I called him and he said they were still looking at it. So finally it was done and I was told it was the tint. After my car being there a week, there was nothing that could be done. I decided to get another opinion. I took it to  Ontario Mini and it ended up being my window seal that needed to be replaced. It was replaced under warranty and NO noise was made after it was replaced. I did not receive a survey as of yet and this is why I had to post on Yelp. Needless to say I will not return for service at Nick Alexander Mini.

This review is of my new Mini Cooper Sport and of salesperson David I.

I had such a quick and pleasant experience with David and with the guy in finance. I forget his name, but he was on crutches at the time.

I did all my negotiating with David over email and he sent me photos of the cars we were discussing via text. Once we decided upon the vehicle, we set up a time to pick it up and were in and out of the dealership, driving away in my new car within 90 minutes. No hidden fees. Everything we discussed was exactly the same in person. That never happens! Also, no crazy pressure in finance. If we said no, he moved on.  It couldn't have been better! I also got a great mini bag filled with goodies!

David came recommended from a friend and I would do the same.

I also LOVE my new Mini Sport! It is so fast and handles really well. Perfect for LA!

This is a review for Nick Alexander's MINI Cooper sales department. I went in on a Thursday night to check out their inventory for the Mini Cooper S Hardtops.

12.26.13 Thursday
Sales person Sarah B. greets me and helps me out. We test drive a base model and an S model and discuss the differences between the 2 models. I find the S model drives SO much better than than the base and am smitten with a black hardtop S with the Bayswater option package.

I have them give me an estimate on my trade in and go home to think and dream about the Cooper Hardtop S i just test drove.....

12.27.13 Friday
Sarah calls me to increase the value of my trade in and throws in a couple of incentives that are extremely attractive. I tell her I'm definitely interested and will meet her at the dealership on Sunday to sit down and talk numbers. At this point i have every intention of purchasing the car. She tells me great..she'll be in all day Sunday.

12.28.13 Sunday
I walk into Nick Alexander and ask for Sarah around 2 pm. I'm informed she's gone for the day. So i then inquire about the vehicle I'm coming to purchase. I was told it was sold the previous night.

FAIL

I understand the way dealerships work and there's no guarantee the car you want will be held for you; however there's no excuse for a sales representative to NOT give a client a courtesy call to say the car had been sold. Or even a heads up to say hey the car you're interested in is being looked at do you want to put an offer in?

I wasted gas and time going to Nick Alexander and it's left an extremely bitter taste in my mouth that's not going to go away any time soon.

On another note there was a sales rep named David who told me of the sale to another customer and seemed extremely apologetic. He said he would give me a call to discuss other possible contenders...but i haven't heard from him as of yet.

David Iturralde is fantastic !! Always available and patient to answer my 10000 billion questions !!! He did not give up until he could find a car that was perfect for me. I was uncertain about purchasing a mini for over a month and he kept checking in with me in a very gentle and non pushy way all though out the month  ! I truly felt he was looking after my needs rather than meeting a sales quota. I leased my mini a couple of weeks ago and he has checked in with me even after the purchase to make sure everything is alright.  Excellent customer service !!!  David is kind , sensitive to his customers needs, honest, and truly looks after you !!!! Great peeps :) Happy to be staying with Alexander mini

I have always been weary of taking my car into a dealer for service. Overpriced, sleezy, and sketchy are a few reasons why. However, I must eat my own words today because I just had the greatest experience at Nick Alexander MINI!

My "check engine" light has been on forever and an independent MINI garage told me that the problem was still covered under warranty and to take it to Nick Alexander. Hesitantly, I made the call in hopes that this was true.

First, real people answer the phone and within the first ring! Second, the service department was very professional and helpful on the phone. They got me an appointment a few days out and sent me a confirmation email with all of the details.

When I got to the dealership, I was greeted my a service rep who guided me to my advisor who would then be helping me out for the remainder of my visit. Robby, my advisor, was great. He was quick, honest, and polite. He told me that if the issue was covered under warranty, the entire service (including rental car), would be free. AWESOME. I was in and out of there within half an hour. The rental car was a piece of crap though (Nick, you guys really should upgrade because everyone here is complaining about that).

Oh! So I happened to get a flat tire on my way out there and Robby told me that if I brought in my own tire (they didn't sell mine there), they'd put it on for free. Very kind!

My car was ready the next day and Robby made sure to call me right when it was done. When I got back to the dealership, it took less than 5 minutes to get my car back. When I saw the car, it looked BRAND NEW. They had washed the car for me! Rims were SPARKLING like I haven't seen in years. They didn't say a thing about it, just surprised me. :) She was filthy, too, so I'm extra grateful.

Thanks so much, Nick Alexander! You have changed my view on dealerships and I will be picking up my next MINI from you!

I want to compliment Ivan Montejano on his professional/courteous demeanor, understanding the needs of his customers and his incredible knowledge of MINI Coopers.  I'm on my 2nd MINI from Nick Alexander Imports.  I've dealt with many other Service Advisors, and although I've been pleased with several of them over the years, I'm the most contented with Ivan.

Whether I'm bringing my car for it's 15,000 mile service visit or a problem with my MINI, I always feel comfortable leaving it in the 'great hands' of Ivan's.  And, when I retrieve my vehicle, it always seems to drive better than when I had dropped it off; the problem is resolved, it's properly maintenance and it's immaculate.  KUDOS to Alexander MINI for having Ivan as an integral part of their Service Department.

Alexander of Mini Cooper.

Service department.

Hahaha. What a joke. Can you believe this place actually only take appointments for service. I live about an hour away from Alexander of Mini Cooper because I brought my car here I though I would just get my service done here. I arrived and these idiots actually said they couldn't take me in due to them only having two technicians. Wtf does that mean. So these idiots presumed to tell me that they only had two technicians to work on all the minis for Friday and Saturday. So I basically asked when is the next available appontment? It was two weeks away. HAHAHAHA what is left to say about Alexander of Mini Cooper. Right in front of there service manager I called Monrovia mini Cooper and got my car scheduled for an appointment on Monday.   I would rate this place a zero star if I could.

Overall.

I remember my buying experience was pretty good but the idiots at service is just plain stupid.

This review is for Nick Alexander Mini service department.

I have a 2010 mini cooper S. I took this car as a lease with an option to buy   apparently the engine light went on and off as well as the temperature light as well as the issue of my airbag lights being on (previous issues that had been previously fixed here as well).  I dropped off my car on 11/26/2013.  I was informed they were will be unable to see my car until 11/29/13(as i had not made an appointment) and the adviser stated he will call me to let me know the status of my car.  During the check it was observed my car has recent car maintenance in other independent shop and it appears the coolant was empty (leak?).

The advisor informed me the car had maintenance coverage until 2016.  I requested a copy of the coverage/services my car was able to get in their mini services department.  I was informed by the service advisor he could not provide me with a copy of the service coverage of the car.  I notice the workorder reflected a "recall" part of the car.  I was never informed during the consultation that there were parts on the car that had been previous recall or did i ever get a letter from the dealership about the recall.

I was asked if i will need a car since I will be leaving my car.  Since i work full time i had state i did.  The advicer was clear they only cover ONE day but no more than TWO and I will have to pay for the car myself after that time period.

I got no call on 11/29/13. I called on 11/30/13 and i was informed by the advisor my car had not been service yet.  I requested a call on 12/2/13 to be informed what was wrong with the car.  The advicer once again failed to call me.  I called mini alexander and was informed the advicer had left for the day and they will take a message.   The same day I received a called from the advicer informing me that my car had overheat and it may some damage on the engine and they had file something to ensure coverage of the engine in order to see if they could save me money. He asked me if I had returned the rental car, which i did that day.  I requested a call back to know how long it will take for repairs.  I was informed I will be receiving a call by 12/2/13.

It is now 12/5/13 and had yet to received a call to know how long the repairs will take.  I am carless and the enterprise charge me $68.30 for the car mini alexander loan to me.    I am very upset of the lack of communication by the adviser after he clearly stated he will returned my calls.    I am very upset at this point i am car less and need to struggle to get to my job everyday.

It is clearly I will no longer work with mini alexander and next time i decide to lease a car it will be with another dealership.  This has been a bittersweet experience as i clearly love my minicooper.

I have had as negative a set of pre-conceived notions about the moral fabric of car sales reps as anyone on the planet and in my search for a car some of those notions were verified.  But then I encountered Sara Brinkman at Alexander MINI and I now equate the profession with sainthood.  Hyperbole aside, Sara guided me through what was for me a very scary venture, buying a MINI and getting financing for a portion of it knowing my credit standing was extremely unfavorable.  And just nervous in general.  Sara not only allayed those nerves, she worked with me (starting with over two hours' communication on the phone before I even met her) with unfailing dedication and sensitivity and found for me a car I didn't even imagine I would feel so excited about; she secured for me an excellent APR for the financing, assisted me in discovering the best long-term warranty and long-term maintenance extension, allowed me to negotiate without awkwardness, gently coped with an embarrassing display (on my part) of jitters and neuroses, and kept her patience with me from my arrival at the great showplace that is Alexander MINI at 12:30PM (I was picked up at my home by a charming porter, name of Carlos) until I signed the papers at 6:45PM.  She never left my side.  Ironically, she led me to the very car I bought and adore very early in the process, but because I was unsure and shaky, she helped me find the strength and determination I needed.  I bought a car that I absolutely cherish and was able to pull it off against major odds (only some of which I have mentioned) because Sara Brinkman is the top notch tremendous human being she is.  All parties I dealt with (Steve Oh deserves a shout out and definitely Brian Stein) were truly accommodating and comforting, despite the hoops I was asking them to jump through just by dint of my qualms.  And Sara performed the magic of helping me find the calm determination to complete the deal and feel totally respected and honored in the process.  She gave me more than half a day of her time, far more considering the phone calls pre and post sale.  I felt no pressure, no insensitivity, no phoniness, nothing but positive vibes, warmth and genuine interest.  If the review is taking as long as my decision did, all I can say is that is because Sara and Alexander MINI deserve endless praise. I remain forever grateful and look forward to a continuing relationship with the dealership.

Nick Alexander Mini overall, is an excellent dealership to get a new car, they all seem to work seamlessly to provide the best service possible. However, what made my experience leasing a new Mini a fantastic one, was my sales agent - Sara Brinkman, she made the whole process easy, enjoyable, and went out of her way to make sure I was completely satisfied and HAPPY with my choices. I would definitely go back to her to get my next car and would recommend her to anyone moving forward. Thanks!!

Dan Kim was patient and kind, Nick really could not say no!!!!! I love my new mini, the experience was terrific! Thanks!

David Inturralde.  Ask for that name.  You will get someone who will treat you with respect and patience.  No hard sell.  You are always comfortable with David.  He will get you the car YOU want.  He will hunt down the best terms for your situation.  He stays on top of it all, and when he says he will call you, he calls you.  (Novelty in this town.)  He will also do his very best to get your car to you as quickly as possible so you can start having fun with it.

I picked Alexander Mini on two points:  a friend has a relative working there and the reviews for this dealership beat the others around it.  The reviews were not wrong.  Through out, by every person, I have been treated well.  There has never been an uncomfortable moment.  I never felt someone was out for a buck.  This is Mini, it sells itself.  The people involved just slide you into the one that you want.

I can already say something about the service department:  My car was on the boat and on its way when I test drove a Mini on a Saturday (David did a search of cars available and found it for me).  The car didn't arrive at the dealership until the following Friday.  Knowing a buyer was excited to get their car, the service department had that car prepped, hood stripes on and ready to roll shortly after I got there, a little after 9:00 the next day.  These guys are quick.

Even though I have a Mini dealership closer to home, I'll be coming back here for my service.

Thank you everyone and especially thank you David.  I had a great experience and had a great first day with my Mini.

UPDATE!

First let me put in a disclaimer:  Things happen.   Sometimes things are not perfect.

That out of the way we can talk about what happened when my new Mini's engine was found to be defective.

My check engine light came on after about 2500 miles.  I stayed on top of it and go the car in.  Check engine lights are there for a reason and you will soon read why.

The service department found misfires but couldn't find the reason.  Ok, chalk that one up to a "phantom" code showing.  I go my merry way.

Check engine light comes on again.  This time my service advisor, Ron, said he wanted to really see what was going on.  I was handed a Mini Clubman and sent home.

The service department found my engine was defective and Ron put in a request to get it replaced.  At first everything looked like it would go smoothly.  Ron kept me informed every few days.

The problem was with Mini Corporate.  They were a very slow with communicating with Nick Alexander, and we ended up with no idea when I would get an engine.  I hit Mini USA's Facebook page and Mini USA got a hold of me next day.  Bill at Mini USA launched an investigation and the engine was at the dealership the very next week.
(Slowness at the dealership is not always the dealership's fault, but the corporate entity they depend on, and corporate is dependent on their vendors.)

The mechanics at NIck Alexander worked some magic once that engine was in their hands.  The engine was at the dealership noon Monday and I was called noon Wednesday that my car was ready.

The aftercare at this dealership is great.  They communicate with you and try hard to make whatever repairs or service as little an inconvenience as possible.  I overheard (sorry for that) their interactions with other people and this crew goes out of their way to help.

Thank you to Ron and the service crew.  Next time I see you it will be for scheduled service....I promise.

This review is for Nick Alexander Mini service department. The customer service to get appointment for service is great (easy to get on-line), and the people are friendly.  I bought my 2009 Mini Cooper Clubman new from Nick Alexander Mini, and at the time of purchase, I got the extended maintenance agreement, which extended maintenance service from 36,000 miles to 100,000. In retrospect, I don't think it was worth it. After the standard 36,000 mile maintenance that comes with the car, I'd recommend you take your car to an independent mechanic you trust because it will be cheaper.

On Monday, November 11, 2013, I took my Mini cooper with 57,490 miles for oil change and filter, free vehicle inspection, and whatever else is included under the maintenance agreement. After the oil change and filter and vehicle inspection, my Service Advisor told me that the technician noted the vacuum pump leaking oil and needed to be replaced. Also, I was told that a four wheel alignment was recommended based on uneven wear in tires. I didn't asked about the cost of doing the wheel alignment, but I asked how much for fixing the vacuum pump oil leak. I was told it would be $490 for the part and $268 for labor. Due to the expensive nature of the repair/replacement, I said needed to get a second opinion from mechanic who services my 2003 Toyota Camry.

After leaving the dealership, I went to see my mechanic at Sam's Import Auto in Walnut, CA.  He determined the vacuum pump gasket needed replacement. He called the local Mini Cooper dealership and asked the cost of the part, and was told it was $10.70. It was too late to have the work done that day, so I had to return on Thursday, November 14, 2013. I left the car for the work to be done, went to work, and returned to get the car at the end of the day. My mechanic charged me $200 for labor and $10.70 for the part.

As far as the service people, they are nice and friendly, but when it comes to the cost of repair and the cost of work to be done at the Nick Alexander Mini service department, I'd recommend you getting a second opinion before getting any work done there. Methinks it is too costly to have work on your Mini Cooper done at Nick Alexander Mini service department or any dealership. Unless the work can be done under a warranty or maintenance agreement, its easier on your pocket book to have it done by an independent mechanic you trust.

I have had the pleasure of dealing with Alexander Mini ever since arriving in LA.  I am a loooong time Mini owner and enthusiast, so the dealer/service experience is incredibly important to me!!!

I purchased my fourth Mini here, a used 2006 Cooper Hardtop and was completely excited throughout the process.  The cult of Mini lives on through Alexander Mini!!  Even more importantly, whenever I wanted to customize my ride David I. was there, incredibly enthusiastic about doing so and full of information about what the best direction was to take.  David and I had FUN putting a stripe on my car that no one else   had dared to do.

Equally important is the work that Ivan does to take care of both your MINI and YOU if something unfortunately goes wrong with the car.  He understands the close relationship people have with their MINIs and makes sure you understand what he is doing and why he is doing it.  Without a doubt he is the best service team member I have ever dealt with at ANY dealership regardless of the make of the car.  He is incredibly knowledgeable and thorough in treating your MINI as if it were a part of you.

And recently when it was time to switch models again...David I. was there!!!  David has moved on from Parts and Customization to Sales and it couldn't be a better fit!!!  David and I have now been working together for over two years and I am privileged to have him as my Sales Associate.  He makes buying a MINI fun, they way it should be!!!  I have wanted to get into a convertible for a long time and David made it happen by putting me in new 2013 Mini Cooper Roadster!!!!  I am beyond thrilled and even more so because David put in the extra time around my busy schedule to make it happen and reassure me the WHOLE WAY through purchasing this car!!!

Bottom Line:  I have owned and driven a 1964 British Racing Green Cooper, the 2001 re-release Silver Hardtop, the first release of the 2004 British Racing Green Convertible, my 2006 Pepper White Hardtop, and now my 2013 Silver Roadster and as long as I am in Los Angeles David will be selling them to me and Ivan will be taking care of them!!!  These two individuals are stand out representatives of an incredible overall Nick Alexander Dealership where EVERYONE is happy to help you out.

Go there and talk to David!!!!...you will not regret it!!!

Ryan

I just got my first car here and couldnt be happier.

DANNY Kim is a great salesman. He helped me to get an affordable price, which is slightly higher than what I wanted to pay tho. He was really helpful and very honest on the price. I actually have not had my license yet, but he still let me get my car.

He is really friendly that offered a drive for me to the bank to get my check. Since there was some issue on my bank account, I could not get the payment done. However, he didnt show any impatience or anything that embarrassed me. He then suggested me to finish the payment thing on next business day, and he would be willing to drop off the car OUTSIDE MY PLACE,  which is actually pretty distant from the dealership, so I dont need to bring a friend with me to pick up the car. BIG PLUSSS! (I dont have a license so I could not pick up by myself).

I was really amazed by his kindness. One thing to point out is that the day he dropped off the car for me was actually his day off. I AM JUST SO THANKFUL that my first car purchasing experience is so pleasant and fantastic.

**Im

If you want to have an amazing service and friendly salesman that understand what you look for, DANNY KIM would definitely help you out with that. You will be so impressed by the service and your MINI.

I wanted to wait a couple weeks until reviewing Alexander Mini but I am in love with my car.  I came in on Saturday to browse and met with a sales rep that was fine.  He explained most of the basic questions but not all.  I was in the market for a used mini and saw one on the lot that I was interested in.  I did test drive another Mini, but did not test drive the one I was interested in. I know...silly.  We sat and chatted about numbers, but I ended up walking away since it was not my target number.

The next day, my boyfriend and I drove to Crevier Mini in Santa Ana.  The rep there, Brian I believe, was super nice and showed me a couple options., but I kept going back to the used one at Alexander.  My hangup was the mileage, it wasn't super high, but it was higher than what I was looking for in a Mini. Brian at Crevier actually encouraged me to go back to look at it, since he knew I was still thinking about it.  How funny is that!  So my boyfriend and I decide to drive back to Alexander mini to look at it again.  Plus, I didn't even test drive the car.  Maybe it was my fault for not asking, but I would think they'd offer if it was a vehicle I was interested in.

Anyhoo, I call my original rep and he had to step out, so he referred me to Jerome. Now this is where my 5 STARS come in!  We met Jerome and was amazed at the Plethora of information he gave us!  He explained everything from the pros and cons of leasing versus buying and even impressed my man.  I actually understood why people leased after that conversation.  I, myself would prefer to own, but from Jerome's explanation, I understood why people who do lease do.  Even my man was impressed and understood the difference so much better.  Moving on, I tell Jerome that I had talked numbers about a car I was interested in, but I had not test driven it.  He of course was flabbergasted that I hadn't even taken the car for a spin, since I had already taken the steps in negotiations the day before.  So we take the car out for a spin and boy oh boy did I learn so much about the car from that one ride.  While driving, I was able to test out the handling and its true capabilities.  Jerome was pointing out all the features, safety bags, and even showed me how to do the teptronic.  He even took the time to explain how the air bags would deploy as well as the double strut bar.  I  truly felt I was getting a well rounded lesson on the car!  And I definitely fell in love with it.  Although it was used, it was loaded with all the options of a more expensive version and was in my fav color. It was also in the range I wanted to spend, plus it still felt new!  In the end, I ended up walking out with the car as Jerome was FANTASTIC!  He even made sure I was comfortable before I left.  A few days later, my check light came on for a loose bulb and I emailed Jerome.  He got me over to the service department and I am going to take it in tomorrow for them to change my bulb.

Amazing service and non pushy salesmanship.  I look forward to utilizing Alexander Mini for my MINI needs and am in love with my "new" ride!  BIG PROPS TO JEROME OVER AT MINI FOR BEING EDUCATIONAL!

*Sorry for the long post!  But I post when I'm impressed or greatly unimpressed! LOL!

This review is for Mr. Nick Alexander.

Your Sales Staff, Motoring Advisors, and your mechanics here are very friendly and a pleasure to work with.  Good job on the hiring of your staff.  My lackluster review is based on the dealer amenities you provide.

Availability of loaners - To get a MINI/BMW loaner, you either have to make an appointment at least 3 weeks in advance to get one.  It seems like you keep about 2 on hand.  I will give a star for the one time i did get one.  It was a Green Park Ed S Model Hardtop.  That was a nice car to drive around in while my MINI was being worked on.

When loaners aren't available, you get a rental through Enterprise, which seems to be the same at other MINI dealerships.  The problem i have is that they're craptastic loaners at best.  I bring in a +$30k MINI and i get to drive off in a Hyundai Elantra or Nissan Versa??  And when they run out of those, you have to pay out of pocket to get the premium cars?  I should not have to pay out of pocket for a loaner especially since I made an appointment.  It's not my problem when Enterprise runs out of what you will cover.  And when i say "premium" it's just another pile of American junk like a base Ford Mustang or Dodge Charger.  C'mon, you sell BMW's and MINI's for crying out loud!  And then you have to walk across the parking lot to the BMW side to get your rental.  What if it's pouring outside?  You're going to make your customers WALK IN THE RAIN?

Free flat bed pick up and drop off for scheduled service-  They pick up your car at your home and drop off a loaner for you to use while your car is in.  When i called for this, they said the wait for that is 3 months out.  Yah, my service light for an oil change just came on with about 1000 miles before my oil needs to be changed.  I need it in now, not 3 months later. This is advertised  as a "perk" to customers who buy their cars from Nick Alexander.  Why advertise when you can't even use this service?

The waiting area is roomy with plenty of seating, but it needs some serious updating.  The TV is rarely on for waiting customers.  The Super Nintendo that isn't even there anymore, I have never seen working.   Your arcade machine is never on or doesn't work, and the MINI literature "vending machine" is broken.  At least you provide free coffee from the Flavia machine.  +1 star for that.

I've been here many times (as you can see from the number of check-ins I have here), but I grow weary of getting the short end of the stick compared to other BMW/MINI dealerships.  I'm going to start going to Irvine MINI as it's actually closer to my office albeit far from my home.  At least their Enterprise is more than a tiny counter stuffed in the corner and their fleet of loaner cars is probably 10x the size.  Last time I was there I drove off in a 3-series, not a Hyundai Elantra.  And i didn't have to drive down Alameda and avoid all the homeless people trying to wash my windshield with their spray bottles with who-knows-what is filled with.  Not that this particular aspect of your dealership is your fault, Mr. Alexander.

I am so happy with the service I received at this dealership!    I went there on a Sunday to look at the accessories for my new Mini and I am very impressed with the time and care I received in their parts department.  If you need any parts or accessories be sure to ask for Daniel Cervantes, he rocks!!

Jennifer S. | 2013-09-12

After this unfortunate incident they did end up taking care me. I greatly appreciate it! They really showed me that they really do care about their customers especially the loyal ones!  Like i said before I've been coming here since 2008 because I have always had a great and painless experience. I do believe in second chances and I will continue to bring my business here. Thank you again for taking care of me! :)

Stacy S. | 2013-09-10

From the moment I called to the day my car was delivered at my door step (yes delivered), I was blown away by the customer care here. I had called two other mini dealerships and both tried to tell me the problem with my car was my fault- without even seeing it! I opted to drive a little farther to Nick Alexander because May, the girl on the phone, was so helpful and friendly. I dropped my car off with Ronnie and Ivan who were as nice as could be, not to mention extremely knowledgable. They worked with me right away and within 20 minutes I was on my way home in a rental. My car was finished early and instead of having me drive all the way back, they drove my car to me!

I will always take my mini here. They went above and beyond to make sure I was happy, fixed my car faster than expected, and did so with a smile. Oh and didn't try to blame anything on me either. If you need service done on your mini, this is the place to go!!

We had our 2011 Countryman's clutch replaced today at Alexander Mini.  We couldn't be happier with the service and the attitude of the service tech, Robert.  He explained what repairs were done and along with the service writer, Ronald Gripp, treated my wife with respect when she dropped off our Mini.  Israel drove my wife to work downtown, and picked her up later the same afternoon, once it was determined that it would be a two to three day repair.

Robert also found an oil leak and repaired it.  This repair had twice been repaired by Crevier Mini and twice failed!  We will have ALL of our future Mini service repairs done at Alexander Mini.

Not sure I was going to be a buyer/leaser of a Mini when I drove in yesterday, but David Iturralde made it almost impossible not to drive home with a 2013 Mini hardtop!  What a selection of cars and great, effective, non-high pressure salesmanship by David!  Nothing but good things to say so far about my Mini experience...plus it is so close to downtown L.A.  Give it a whirl!

Marvel T. | 2013-08-26

I drove from Laguna Niguel to buy a 2012 Mini Clubman I had a Great experience at this dealership. David and Andres gave me the best deal that can possibly have. David and Andres have an excellent attitude and professionalism. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and my family.

Shae S. | 2013-08-25

I just got a new mini and couldn't be happier!

David Inturralde was such a great salesman. He was very prompt with my inquiry to getting a mini. I had a set price in mind as to how much I could afford and he worked REALLY hard to match it. He was very patient and honest with me. He could answer literally every question I had about the mini since he's had years of experience with them. He gave me multiple options to choose from regarding pricing options. He was very casual and I felt really comfortable talking to him about what I was looking for. He spent extra time to make sure I understood how to operate every function in the car since I'm new to mini. I would highly recommend buying or leasing a car through David.

Also the finance manager Steve was awesome!

The customer service in the dealership is one of the best I've come across. They have a sense of camaraderie that I also haven't seen within a dealership. Everything is modernized and the environment is very befitting of the mini style. The coffee machine is pretty legit lol as well as the waiting area.

Thanks everyone at Alexander Mini! I'm very satisfied with my purchase!

Samy A. | 2013-08-24

Alexander Mini was great! My wife and I just got a 2013 Countryman and no other dealer was able to beat the price. Our salesman, David Ituralde, was a pleasure to deal with and most of all he was very patient with us. The customer service and pricing at Alexander Mini is unbeatable.

This was the best car-buying experience I've ever had.  I knew what I wanted, and sent an email request to the dealership.  Danny Kim followed up, found me exactly the car I wanted, and made me a deal that couldn't be beat.  He did this quickly, efficiently, and with a minimum of hassle, and was great about communicating with me via email and text.  He had the car ready exactly when he said he would.  The meeting with the finance guy, which is usually torture, was actually pleasant and quick.  Danny did a great job of showing me the car's features, and has made himself available for followup.  I would buy a car again from Danny Kim in a heartbeat.  The best!

Lisa L. | 2013-08-19

I went in to look at some Mini Coopers, and having read many positive yelp reviews about him, I immediately asked for Danny Kim. And surely enough, the reviews did not disappoint. Danny Kim was very helpful and accommodating from the start. He showed me the exact car I was looking for, helped me get the best deal on it, and he even followed me back to my house in order to finish up some paperwork and get something I needed to finish up the payment. And through it all, he always had a smile on his face, and I can tell he genuinely wanted to get me the best deal. Great customer service!

Ru C. | 2013-08-19

very nice experience with the service dept. ask for kevin! i had to take my car for a checkup since it kept on saying there are some problems with my engine. he kept me updated and everything went fairly smooth.

Lloyd C. | 2013-08-17

Had a great experience here and got the exact car I wanted and then some. I went in looking for a cooper hardtop and upgraded to the Hardtop S Model.

There is truly a top notch team here all around. Excellent service at all points. Two of the folks who went above and beyond were Andres Nunez and David Ituralde. These guys were fantastic and ensured that I got everything I needed at a price that was reasonable. Honest, trusting, and to the point. I would def. recommend them to anyone.

Yiven C. | 2013-08-12

Overall I had the best experience I could ever have at a dealership to get the right car for me! It all comes down to who you work with and David Inturralde is as good as it gets.

The ride (+'s):
+ David Inturralde. That is all you go to know. He worked hard to get the car I wanted and was very responsive. He returned emails and phone calls timely. If he didn't have an answer, he would let me know. This service outshined all my local dealers that I flew from SF to LA to get this car and made a road trip out of this whole experience. My local MINI dealers dropped the ball so many times. They either could not match the deal or failed to be responsive. Those are deal killers.
+ Great pick-up service. I flew into LA to get this car. Teresa whisked me from baggage claim and straight to the dealer without having me to wait. She was a great driver and personable. Too bad MINI doesn't have a helicopter to pick me up and drop me off. That LA traffic is no myth. Did I mention that David helped to coordinate?
+ David Inturralde. Yes I mentioned him already but what I wanted to emphasize the upfront dealing I got. It was no hassle as I outlined everything I wanted and we went through negotiations very pointedly. Sometimes the manager had to call the shots but David managed to follow up and coordinate in a timely manner. That meant 24 hour or less turn around. And no hard sale. I hate pushy sales people.
+ Got to pick out my keychain. Daniel (hope I got his name right) helped with the selection. He also helped me figure out that coffee/tea/chai/chocolate machine in the corner. Use it if you have a wait for the financing department.
+ The hardtop MINI I got was waiting in the front with its pink mirror caps. All shiny and ready to go. Before I drove it off David went through all the features for me instead of just wrapping up for the day.
+ Yeah, the next day I couldn't figure something out in the car and I called--yes, David. He returned my call asap and this is after I already got the car. That's service.

The potholes (-'s):
- In all fairness there are potholes on the road. The one that I hit was in the financing department. Unfortunately not all car models get the same financing rate or length so make sure you understand the financing terms when you get the quotes.

Overall I had a great car buying experience here. David made it painless and seamless. He exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend him!

TIP: Check your car insurance for your new car to ensure you get to drive it off safely from the lot. And consider buying from this dealer if you want a road trip. There is plenty to do in and around LA.

Carolina A. | 2013-08-12

David Iturralde is by far the best sales man (Motoring Advisor)! If he can convince the most indecisive person in the world (my sister) then you know you cannot go wrong! Hands down! He is friendly and very considerate of what you want and what it is you need to know about the car.
His coworker Justin (who is also a Motoring Advisor) was also very helpful and kind in assisting the sale! Double thumbs up for the both!

Maggie V. | 2013-08-12

Nick Alexander's customer service team came through and resolved my drawn-out car repair issue.  I'd give another star for the level of service I received at the end of this situation except that I was the one that had to initiate action.

In the end, though, Lori and Tanya were very professional and attentive, expediting the process and resolving my issue with the car.  I appreciate that and Nick Alexander Imports' reputation for excellent customer service has been restored.

An interesting side-note, my daughter's MINI was totaled as we were finalizing resolution of my situation.  She will be in the market for a replacement MINI and we will return to Nick Alexander to make that purchase.

I just bought my MINI yesterday and Danny kim was such a great help!!! he helped me find a affordable price it was a pleasure working with him everyone was very nice and I wouldn't mind coming back for a 2nd car absolutely love it !!! and I recommend coming here

Margaret A. | 2013-08-04

Terrible service department.

I have spent thousands of dollars on repairs at Alexander Mini over the years.  Took off time from work to have a rattle and an overheating light assessed.  Was guaranteed it would be ready the next day, waited over an hour for a rental (nobody else was there), and had to deal with a very unprofessional, rude, dishonest, evasive and argumentative service advisor.

I knew immediately that I did not want to waste any further time with someone I felt was incompetent and lacking in customer service skills so I immediately went through the means of reaching a manger or a different service advisor at the very least.  Conveniently, he was off that day.  So I left a message, left an email, called the next day and left another message.  Never heard back.

After getting the run-around I was told that my car was fine and ready to picked up.  They could not find any problems.  I knew something was wrong, and simply did not want to deal with any more of their unethical ways so I took my keys and my car to Miniworx (independent shop) the next day.  The independent Mini shop immediately diagnosed a cracked thermostat housing unit which explained why my "engine hot" light went off and my coolant was completely empty after 2 refills in a 1-week period.  Alexander Mini stated they performed a pressure test and there was no leak-- in writing.  Since my repair at Miniworx my coolant levels are completely stable and my "engine hot" light has not gone off...

Service here is slimy on every level.  They told me the rental was free for a day, I found they charged me for 2 days on my credit card statement...

Never again.

Luky P. | 2013-08-02

ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE EVER! We were scheduled for a check engine light service and checked in at 10:30. Not only were all the loaner cars out but the enterprise rental cars were not available either. However, there were available cars and people who was serviced after us received them.  Keep in mind we had already scheduled an appointment with a loaner car. We waited the next three hours for the car to be serviced. Staff were not helpful at all and did not communicate well with the customers needs. Then when we got our receipt of service where there was a bill to mini that the loaner was charged.  We will not service out car here EVER. They are unprofessional and a waste of time.

Sally L. | 2013-08-01

Danny Kim was an excellent salesman. We were specifically looking for a Korean and he was perfect. He was efficient in finding a mini to fit our financial situation. He was very welcoming, generous, and genuine. By dealing through the phone, we bought our mini within just a couple hours. Danny made sure the process was as simple and comfortable as possible for us. I definitely recommend him.

Michelle H. | 2013-07-30

George and Jerod were extremely helpful, knowledgable and a pleasure to work with.  I highly recommend contacting George if you are looking to find your dream mini hassle-free! :)

Jerome E. | 2013-07-24

The folks at Alexander Mini are great.  Prices are very fair and the selection is outstanding.  They had just what I was looking for, a used Countryman S All4 in all black everything.  David in sales was incredibly friendly and more importantly, incredibly capable of addressing all my questions and reassuring me of my purchase.  He even took the time to answer my calls on his day off and set up a shuttle pickup service for me at Union train Station since I was coming in from San Diego.  Steve in Financing was also very helpful.  Everyone that I dealt with from the shuttle driver, to the parts dept, to the cashier/front desk personnel were AWESOME! Do yourself a favor if you are considering a new or used Mini and check out Alexander Mini in LA.  Thanks guys!
-Jerome

i like their service

Lori Y. | 2013-07-17

Bought my car here a year ago, just went in for a maintenance. Check in offer Free Keychain ^__^

Very helpful.

Buying process: Sales guy was not like overly pushy for me to get a car and made sure i was able to get the car I wanted which was in stock. Helpful & explained everything in detail.

Maintenance - Booking an appt with some grumpy girl for service. She was having a bad day maybe sounded like she was all irritated. Took about 4 hours, provided rental car through enterprise cause didn't wanna wait.

Overall - Enjoying my mini for now. =D Will wait and see how I feel maybe later down, the road since it's a longer term investment.

Before I came to Alexander Mini I had almost signed a lease on a brand new fiat (they brought the car out, had the exact color/interior combination I wanted, etc.) But I had always wanted a mini so I decided to go to Alexander Mini, thinking that in an hour of time I'd end up back at Fiat. When I got to the dealership, the sales rep David had come out immediately to let me test drive one. Safe to say, I was immediately won over. David was SO easy to work with, honest, and really personable, which is not something you find easily at a dealership. He was genuinely doing his best to get me the car I wanted for a price I could afford. Everybody there was friendly, and the car buying experience was basically as pleasant as stepping out with a brand new mini cooper.

Lisa M. | 2013-07-09

i did NOT purchase a MINI clubman from here ~  i tried to give them my business but after being on the phone for a good part of a Sunday afternoon with a Salesman,  texting and trying to negotiate, he promised that this dealership is the best in town and they can do the impossible-   So i went,  they did not seem at all busy but the Salesman did have one other client that he was working and was bouncing back and forth from us to her-  upon speaking with her,  She also was not impressed and wanted to leave but she had a trade and they would not give her back her Keys-     We found a car we like and "Played" the back and forth game-  of coarse the promises that were mentioned on the phone did not happen-  all the sudden "we can only do so much"  blah,  blah, blah-   Needless to say I left and spent the next day really researching and looking online- Found the perfect car, best price, best service @ Crevier MINI in Santa Ana,   a bit further but way worth it!  Oh and by the Way,  the Location for this dealership is terrible,   It's a wonder how they can stay in business!  it is in the worst part of town - I am glad i left while still light out ~~

I was dreading the hassle of dealing with car salesman, but Alexander Mini was by far the best car buying experience I've ever had. My wife and I were looking for a Countryman S, and stopped by Alexander Mini for a test drive. Our sales rep, Kim Scholz, was uber helpful, kind, and zero pressure. We felt at ease, and there was never any sense of rush. Kim took her time to guide us though the inventory to find the car that matched the features we were looking for.

We ended up purchased the Countryman S, and a week later we picked up a Hardtop S, both from Kim. The Hardtop S took less than 30 minutes to purchase! It's taken me longer to buy a TV from BestBuy than purchase a car at Alexander Mini. Every staff member we interacted with was uber kind and helpful, starting with Kim, Jerod in finance, Rudy in parts, and the other folks at the dealer (sorry i forgot all your names!)

Random note: One surprising thing was, that when you get there, the lot looks like it only has a handful of Minis, but there is a back lot filled with Minis of all kinds.

Stell B. | 2013-06-28

Alexander mini is heads and shoulders above any dealership I've visited.  The warm welcome, the friendly attitude and problem solving surpassed all my expectations. Jerome William is a rare Jem in the buisiness.  I Definetely recommend everyone shop with Jerome so that they too can experience the feeling of a friend taking care of your needs. Can't recommend Mini Alexander enough!

Alison H. | 2013-06-27

Nick Alexander MINI is THE WORST! I would never lease a car from them again.

We also have a BMW lease with McKenna, and I was expecting similar level of service. However, that is not the case here.

Here's just a few things that have gone awry in the 2 months that I've had my MINI (which I love, btw):

They sent me a bill stating I owed $0 for my fist payment. Then I receive an email stating I'm late for my first payment. Called MINI. They said I owed. No apology...

Took my brand new MINI home and the alignment was off. Had to wait 5 weeks for them to come pick up the car (this was after complaining to management), took them from Thu - Mon, dropped my car off and the alignment is still off. Really?!
Not only that - they brought my car back to me dirty.. yep.

Whenever we try to contact the service department, you're sent straight to VM and they never call back.

I'll end it here (though there are other minor issues), but I would not only never lease with them again, but I go out of my way to tell everyone to stay far away. Don't be fooled - they're awful.

UPDATE: on the second try - they fixed my alignment. took a bit of work, but since then they've been fine, and have requested that I update this yelp request. LOVE my MINI - but overall, the dealership still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'll up it to two stars, instead of my initial one.

I have been with my very faithful but now dying car for 14 years. It's time for a new car. This could turn into a really long story but lets shorten it. I decided on a Mini because, let's face it, every other damn car on the road looks like a Prius. I want something that stands out in the crown and can offer me new technology. (Well, at this point anything newer than my car can offer that) I went into Nick Alexander based on a friends recommendation. I had been to other car dealerships and was getting really tired of people jumpin on my sack pushing cars on me. I was bound and determined to get through this and just test drive a Mini. Thank goodness for George M. He was absolutely wonderful. No pressure, laid back and very patient. I was bouncing all around the lot, used, new, used. I just wasn't sure! Well George was very patient and offered me a few options to test drive. By the way, I told him upfront that I wasn't going to buy a car that day, but he was patient and answered all of my questions.

Very long and somewhat funny story later. I came back to Nick Alexander. I only had one day to pull this car buying thing together because my work schedule is so hectic. I really wanted to get George in on the sale. And wouldn't you know it, the one day I could swing was one of the days he had off. Well, George was awesome enough to come in on his off day and stay past closing time while we negotiated a price on a used car. I felt I got a pretty good deal. Obviously free would have been the best deal ever. But in a realistic world I got a good deal thanks to George and Jerod! Thanks guys!

By nature, I believe I'm hardwired to dislike dealerships. In fact, I can't seem to remember one that ever did anything that I was impressed by. Nick Alexander MINI is the exception to the rule. In life, we get what we pay for. The staff at Nicks are all top notch. Lewis, my service person, went over and above my expectations. Can't remember the service managers name but a huge thank you to him too. My recommendation, drive the extra distance to go here.  I could go on and on.

These are great guys to work with!

My family and I drove all the way from Orange to Nick Alexander Mini in Los Angeles and it was absolutely worth the drive! We arrived 30 minutes to closing time and they were stepping out early but Danny Kim, Steve Oh, and Brian Stine welcomed us in. We had previously gone to Crevier Mini and those guys were awful! Crevier Mini is the complete opposite of Nick Alexander Mini. The guys at Nick Alexander Mini are friendly and get the job done. They were able to get us a lower price on my Mini AND more money for our trade in. Pretty awesome day for me!

However, the headache came the next day when we called our auto insurance company and wanted to add the Mini... Because the Mini was in just my name, they couldn't apply the family discount on the Mini's premium. The insurance said if we could get my mom's name on the title then we would save $600 per six months premium. So we went back to the dealership to see if they could redo the paperwork. I cannot praise Steve Oh enough! Steve is such a friendly and honest guy. He took the time and effort to run over to the other department in another building to fetch the already finished paperwork and reversed everything so my mom could be put on the title. Steve was so patient and willing to work with us, I can't express my gratitude enough!

Nick Alexander is #1 for a reason... Great customer service and friendly employees can't be beat! Thanks again everyone!

PS: I will update this after I get my scheduled maintenance done. Nick Alexander Mini offers flatbed pick up of my Mini and they deliver a loaner Mini/BMW while my Mini is being worked on. Hope it goes well!

I bought this car with a great experience. Danny Kim is my dealer. He is so patient when he shows the cars around and when I was testing drive. I was so picky on the color and the model, but he is so nice and get that specific car for me with low price too. BTW, he even recommended a great Korean restraunt for us when we drove our new Mini out of the place. Overall, he is an awosome guy, and an amazing dealer. This is a perfect place to go if you want to get a Mini. ^.^

I bought my car here back in January 2012. That was a 5-star review in itself.

This review will be in regards to my first, scheduled 15k miles car service...

... I made an appointment to bring my car in and, on the day of the service (Thursday 5/23/13), my service advisor was busy with another customer. Understandable. I was then helped by another service advisor. He was very nice & helpful. Then came the part when the service advisor asked if I will be needing a loaner car. Of course, I told him I did. I walked myself over to Enterprise, like my service advisor told me, and I'm given a Nissan Maxima to drive?! Ok?...

Uhhhh, when I first bought my car, I was told I would always be provided with either a MINI or a BMW while my car is in service. Secondly, I was told that if I wasn't able to drop my car off, Nick Alexander would leave with me either a MINI or BMW at my home or workplace & take my MINI to service/dealer themselves. This did not happen, nor was it ever an option for me.

Friday (5/24/13) afternoon, I get a phone call from Nick Alexander stating I can pick up my car, but the part my car needs is not yet available at the dealership and won't be available until the following Wednesday (5/29/13). I decide to return the Nissan Maxima because I'd rather drive my own car and was told to follow up with my original service advisor regarding the car part.

While waiting for the "people in the back" to bring my car to the front, after checking out with the reception, I had to wait nearly 30-minutes for my car. This was during my lunch break so, of course, I did not make it back to my work on time. I was very disappointed with Nick Alexander at this point -____-

I followed up with my original service advisor the following Tuesday (5/28/13) and he told me the car part won't be available until the following Tuesday (6/4/13). Hmm, ok. I schedule ANOTHER appointment to bring my MINI in. Again, I am NOT given a MINI or BMW loaner car. I am given a Dodge Avenger. If wanted to drive a big American car I would've bought myself a BIG American car. I'm 4'11" and driving this boat did not make me feel safe at all.

ANYWAY... Overall, service from the service advisors were good, but everything else was really disappointing. I dread having to bring my car into service now and I shouldn't have to feel this way especially when I was assured quality of service would always be satisfied. Womp.

I bought TWO cars here already.  And I always bring my car here for service.
It is one of the biggest MINI dealers in the US.  Also they are family owned, so if you got any beef, they will make sure you are taken care of.
I can't say all of the sales peeps are stellar... so depends on who you interact with.
The first time I bought the car, I had a better experience.
The second time, I've noticed some sales/management changes. Not as good as the first time around.
For the most part, they are good, but sales person I bought my car from made up numbers and feed it to me (multiple times).  I went with it, since I already knew what I was getting into and I called him out on it later.  But for those who are not experienced with MINI or car buying, do some research before you trust your heart and soul with these guys.
What I do like about the sales advisors is that they don't come off as sleezy greasy car salesmen. :)
Anyways, I like this dealership cuz they do have great service department and better perks when buying a car from here (compared to other dealerships).  Also they have the largest inventory!
People are friendly and helpful.  If you are not satisfied, speak up and let them know.  They will make it right.  Not everyone is perfect, so if they are going to make an effort to make it up to you, that is alright in my book.

Ladies, beware. George at Alexander Mini will treat you like a walking dollar sign and not a serious customer.

I went down to Alexander Mini after reading their yelp reviews, since I was set on buying a MINI and trading in my gas guzzling SUV. I walked around the lot for several minutes and no one approached me, so I walked inside. The receptionist was very friendly, and I told her I needed to speak with a sales rep. My co-worker and I stood in the lobby for 10 minutes before anyone approached us. George introduced himself to us and if I said that all the alarm bells in my head didn't go off immediately I would be lying. He just made me uncomfortable, but I decided to give him a chance.

I told him exactly what I wanted, but that I wasn't sure if I wanted a countryman or a cooper s. I also told him that I explicitly wanted Kite Blue. His response was to tell me that Kite Blue was extremely hard to find and ask what my second choice was. Now, normally, this would be okay, but I knew what I wanted, what I wanted to pay, and I was willing to wait if I had to order it. George told me he thought that he had something I would like and went inside to get keys. When he came back, he drove us out to their back lot and parked in front of a car in Ice Blue,(my forced second choice.) He showed me the car and the features, but NEVER ONCE offered to let me test drive a single car.

Not only did I not like the car he was trying to force me into, but there was a DEAD DOG carcass in the lot that we had to step over to get to the car. Pretty, tasteless as far as I am concerned. If the salesman is willing to force a potential customer to step over a dead, decaying animal just to show you a car you already said you didn't want, imagine how they will treat you once they get your money.

I did however want to discuss pricing and other options on the car I actually wanted, but since George was intent on selling this car only, he spent the better part of the next 35 minutes asking what he could do to sell the car today. They lowballed me on my trade by $3000, and after an additional 30 minutes of him trying to sell me a car in every color except Kite Blue, I asked for his card with the intent of walking out.

His response: "It's over there."  This "salesman" wasn't even polite enough to give me his card. In addition, his manager who appraised my car, had my keys and registration the entire time we were "negotiating,"  which felt a little bit like holding me hostage, as I couldn't leave without meeting the sales manager.

After I left with an obvious distaste for Alexander Mini in my mouth, I received a phone call the next day from George asking me if I thought about the car. I responded that I would be taking my business elsewhere. His response? To call back again 15 minutes later offering an additional $1,200 on my trade. Which is pretty remarkable considering he told me they would NEVER give me more on my trade. Needless to say, I went to another dealership the following day, and I am picking up my new MINI, in the correct color, with more features, for EXACTLY what I was willing to pay because they gave me what I wanted on my trade and a good discount on the MSRP, because they were willing to work with me. Oh, and they let me test drive every model of the mini, just to make sure I liked what I was buying. Go to South Bay Mini and see Jacques Leon.

Alexander Mini may have good reviews for their other sales people, but ladies, stay away from George. He's RUDE.

I came to Nick Alexander Mini not sure if I wanted to trade in my Prius for something new, but after meeting George (sales) who was helpful in showing me options within my budget, I decided to take a test drive. After some uncertainty about color and price Andres (manager) came out and took my specific requests for what I wanted in my Mini. George and Andres made the numbers work and got me the exact Mini I wanted!  I have had my Mini Cooper for about a week now, and am extremely happy! George and Andres are awesome! I would highly recommend Nick Alexander Mini!

My wife and I have taken our mini here several times and appreciate the great service.  They caught things that the other dealership missed, right before our warranty expired.  Very helpful, honest and friendly.  The 5th star is going beyond with a great coffee selection and waiting area.  Thanks Luis!

Ramiro M. | 2013-05-23

So I came here in February as my 08 Mini Cooper was making some weird noises and turned out it was the Timing Chain and was going to be too expensive to fix it so I decided to trade it in for a new one. I got a fair price for the car and went ahead and financed a 2013 BaysWater Cooper S. I had the car for two months and did not receive any statement from the bank. I decided to call the finance company and they said I had no account with them. I decided to call the dealership and explained to the receptionist that I had not received any statement so I needed to speak to someone. She said she would let the finance manager know and would call me back immediately. A few days went by and nothing, I was worried about my credit getting messed up so I called again. Turns out the loan was never funded by the bank because the bank realized that the dealership overcharged me $1,800.

I went to the dealership that same day and I told the manager that I just wanted to drop the car off and get my trade in back because I did not want to do business with them anymore. But Andres (Manager) told me they couldn't do that as they did not overcharge me. He kept claiming the contract was fine and nothing could be done. I did not have the contract with me at the time so I went home to overlook it and make sure I was not crazy as it was difficult to believe the computer made the mistake. I get home and I was right, called Andres and he kept saying I was wrong and didn't want to let me talk. I finally told him "Look at the contract I signed and then call me to let me know when I can pick up my check". 10 minutes later Jared calls me letting me know I can get the check later that day.
Got there 45 minutes later to Andres saying the office was closed and I had to wait till the next day. Wow. Just BS.

So I come back the next day and talk to another manager, I forgot his name, and was received with a complete condescending jerk. After an inspection I was told the computer had made a mistake by itself trying to justify the error but with a completely rude attitude. I was just so frustrated that I explained to him that the software they use calculates the totals based on the numbers THEY input and can not just come up with crazy numbers by itself unless they program it to do so. Again, the condescending jerk asks, "Well how can you be so sure?" thinking he knew everything... Well I don't know, maybe Because I work as a tech at a POINT OF SALE SOFTWARE COMPANY THAT DOES THIS EXACT SAME FUNCTION YOU IDIOT!

Turns out they sold my car and wanted to give me a check less than what my trade in was worth ON the contract and after threatening to go to the DMV and file a complaint they finally gave me my check.
I am now a proud owner of a 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe that is half of what I would have paid for that Mini.

I know its a long review but I felt it necessary... I really suggest you overlook the contract you signed to make sure you're not being scammed.

My wife wanted a new car but didn't want to feel the high sales pressure that come with going to a dealership. We decided to check out Alexander Mini and were very pleased.  We were warmly greeted by Josh Circle-Woodburn and during the entire time we were at Alexander Mini, we did not feel pressured to buy.  Josh, in fact was very helpful by trying to find a car to met our budget. In addition, even after the dealership closed, Josh spent time showing us all how the use the car, linked up the blue tooth for my wife, and answered any additional questions.

Everyone at the dealership was very nice.  They gave our son the WiFi password to help him pass the time and there was also a free Galaxian arcade game. Great experience and great car without the high pressure to buy buy buy.  Would definitely recommend this family owned and run dealership to anyone in the LA area looking to buy a Mini .

Thanks to Mike we are a 2 mini household: 100% of our cars are Minis. :)  After we bought my mini, as soon as my husband's lease was up for his Acura we went in for a second mini. He's wonderful, fair, and honest. we love him.

However, if we had known how useless/careless the service department was, we would have thought twice about buying from them. they NEVER call regarding recalls, they NEVER do what you ask, the only good thing is that they have the flatbed pickup, but if they're not available (which they rarely are) they pass you on to roadside assistance. The service guys rarely listen when you're speaking to them on the phone, which is evident when you get your car back and they haven't fixed what was wrong. :-/ thanks, guys!

I decided to write a review about Nick Mini after dealing with Toyota of Redlands yesterday. It hit me!  all of a sudden I didn't think "all dealerships are the same" anymore.
we bought a paceman last month.  at that time I yelped that my experience there was Painless.  Yesterday, dealing with another dealership reminded me of how much I hated dealing with Redlands, and with a truck purchase at Toyota of Riverside, and truck purchase at Toyota of Avondale, AZ.   all 3 of these dealerships bring up thoughts of theft, dishonesty, Terrible relationships... I could go on.
Back to Nick.
All dealerships are not the same, I now believe.  thanks George for being excellent to work with.  Thanks Nick for NOT attaching yourself to my email and cell like some leach that I can't terminate, as has all 3 of the others.
Thinking of buying a Mini?   Give them a try.  compare them to the others and you might see what I do now.  It's better here at Nick.

Taylor N. | 2013-04-30

LOVE Nick Alexander dealership.  They always take care of all needs and with out ripping you off.  They're soo nice and even though they are farther then another mini dealership (UNIVERSAL) I go to them.  Mini Universal has disappointed me too many times especially like helping with little things my car needs.  Nick Alexander dealership the employees are so nice and eager to help.  I just renewed my service warrenty bc I think they're honest and always take care of anything my Mini and I need.  They're great!!

I am updating my review once again because the GM, Shep Nelson and salesman, Josh Circle-Woodburn completely turned my poor customer service experience around so much so that I left Nick Alexander MINI today with a new car and am quite happy.

Shep truly does care about his clients and being treated in the best light possible plus it goes to show you the power that Yelp has. As a business owner myself, I truly appreciate how Shep handled this and will continue to send people I know to Alexander MINI when they as for suggestions on what kind of car to get next.

Note:  Shep is busy being the GM so definitely go see Josh.  Though he is quite new there, Josh is eager to help and find what you are looking for plus he knows Shep well so he definitely doesn't want to look bad.  I liked his personality - didn't come off as a typical car salesman.

This has got to be the best run "PLACE" not just a " CAR DEALERSHIP"... I am a stickler for good service.   Everyone there was pleasant, sincere,  - I can't think of enough words.  Never have I had such excellent service - graciously !!!!  Danny & Steve were the primary people that my daughter and I dealt with; however they were all wonderful and they even provided lunch for us!!!!!!  Think I'll just go back and hang out for the day - still feeling great from it all.  Continue the good work.  I will definitely recommend you to anyone that I know looking for a car...-:)

HORRIBLE BUSINESS!!! LIARS!! BEWARE!! I understand that this place happens to be in the middle of nowhere, but that is no reason to lie to your potential customers to get them to drive out to the dealership..I asked sales person if they had a certain model and the deal I needed. He called me back about 3 times and told me he had that specific model in stock and could make a deal in the range that I wanted. I was very specific with what I needed as I knew the place was a far drive. He assured me that everything would be fine...Well, this is the 2nd time that this happens at this dealership, I drove out there.. WAY out of my way...and all of a sudden the price point is NO WHERE NEAR what we discussed and to top it off, they didnt have the model I needed (which he specifically told me they had) and were qouting me with no navi even though he KNEW that's what I needed...It just makes me really upset to be directly lied to...PLEASE save your time and do not go there..these people should not be in business...shame on you

This review goes for Alexander mini dealer service department. I'm so proud to be one of their customers. I cannot recall a day that i have gone to this dealer and have not received outstanding customer service from the advisor to the mechanical engineers to the advisor again to the customer. My compliments go to Ivan M. and his wonderful team. Ivan is empathetic , professional and very kind.
Thank you Ivan for all the work you do for me and my mini (Bobby)

I knew from the beginning that I wanted a Mini Cooper and Danny Kim was just the right guy for me. It was my first time leasing a car, and he didn't try to sell me things and add-ons that I didn't want. He wasn't pushy or rude. He was in constant contact with me and making sure that my needs were met within my price range. Overall, Danny was able to provide a great, stress-free experience. Can't thank him enough and would highly recommend him for any future customers!

They have great customer service and
a friendly staff! I highly recommend them!

I was hesitant to purchase a new car but the service at Nick Alexander's was so phenomenal I had to join the Mini family! Our sales guy Josh was very helpful and was easy to relate to which made the experience much more comfortable. They offer so many perks and deals, if you're looking for a coop, come here!

Chris L. | 2013-03-20

Thanks Alexander Mini Cooper! Today Ivan Montejano and Lewis Lam helped me with my first service on my 2012 Mini Coop. They were both friendly and super helpful. :)

To preface this review, I spent a few days with Star Ford of Glendale earlier this month. It was a horrific experience. Go see the review

Nick Alexander was an incredible experience. I went down at 7pm after work on a Monday, prepared to order my dream car. Josh had been my point person from my initial online inquiry. He took me through the options, explained each feature, and was patient while I deliberated my order choice. Instead of forcing me into a car that was local (and that I didn't really want) Josh was more than happy to take me through the order process and compare prices.

Now, i'm a young post-grad, and it would be VERY easy to take advantage or treat me like I don't know what I'm talking about. I've encountered this at almost every dealership. I give Nick Alexander 5 stars for treating me like a valued customer and for staying 1 hr after closing to help me seal the deal. They were reasonable, and they treated me respectfully. Along with including a six year maintenance and warranty (HUGE deal, considering the maintenance alone costs as much as a BMW) they were willing to work with me on getting the right packages for the right price.

Overall, this was such a great experience. I can't wait for my new car to come!!! I HIGHLY recommend Nick Alexander.

IVAN MONTEJANO best service rep @ Alexander Mini !!! Wouldn't trust my car to anyone else!

K M. | 2013-03-18

Two weeks ago the engine warning light went on in my beloved 7 month old MINI, hours after the car had been swiped in a parking lot.  Oh no, not just cosmetic but internal damage too?  :-( BRIAN COLLINS (boy I sure hope I got his name right) in the MINI/BMW service department talked me through all possibilities, met me at the service department at the time he said he would, figured out the problem, and did not blame it on the accident. Fixed the car, replaced a faulty sensor and my MINI was ready to go when he said it would be ready.  Granted it went from NICK's to the body shop.  Hope I will be able to say as many nice things about Al's Body Shop.  As for BRIAN he was very kind and friendly too!  I cannot say enough good things about BRIAN, the service in general or NICK ALEXANDER. It's not every day you are treated with respect, told the truth by an auto dealership service department, and then get your car fixed and returned at the time promised ... It could explain why this is the second MINI I bought from NICK!!!

This is my fourth time having my Mini serviced at Nick Alexander. Halton has helped me in the past but I was told he no longer works there so I got an appointment to see Lewis instead. I came half hour late and Lewis was (understandably) not available anymore, but Ivan came to the rescue and took me in without any fuss! Ivan was very helpful hearing our car issues, explaining our options for extended service agreement, setting us up with a loaner, and even offering a more convenient arrangement to pickup the car once it was fixed. He also doesn't only talk shop and has a sense of humor :-) I have to say, I'm liking him more than my previous guy! If I ever have to bring in my Mini for servicing, I will surely ask for him!

I made an appt for my first mini cooper service since I purchased in september. The service I received the moment I drove into the dealership service dept was already rating high on my list. Someone greets you and checked me in. Then I was introduced to Ivan Montejano the advisor that assisted me with my Mini Cooper. Ivan is very knowledgeable and professional and let me know what my options were based on the amount of work that was needed on my mini which I had no idea till he explained further. Ivan gave me a mini coop 101 class so I can understand what it takes to insure better care, drive and longevity of my mini! Thank goodness for great people in this universe , thank you Ivan for a great 1st mini maintenance experience. I will be coming back..

They put the sleaze In Sleazy Used Car salesmen.    Say NO before Nick  !

Jaqueleen L. | 2013-03-07

After working out a great deal on a lease for a Mini Cooper Hardtop, half way into my lease they still make service painless. Right now my car is being held with an oil leak and I am tooling around town in a dealership loner BMW 325, stress-free. I love that I have a dedicated service contact - I always deal with Lewis Lam. He is thorough, attentive, and accommodating whether I ask questions about maintenance or financing. Could not be happier with Alexander mini... And already thinking about which mini i will choose when my lease is up in November!

Caroline G. | 2013-03-06

Lewis Lam in Mini Service is awesome. So professional and yet makes me feel like i'm just talking with a friend! Makes the drive over there not as bad.

Martin A. | 2013-03-05

This is my first time visiting this location. I was trying to get feedback from friends as to which dealership to take my MINI to get serviced. I was given a few suggestions, but decided to stop by this location.

If it wasn't for Ivan Montejano at the service department, this would have easily been a two star review. I had attempted to call a few times to inquire about getting my car serviced, but found it difficult to do so.

I managed to take some time away from work in order to stop by. Ivan was the first person to welcome me and take care of me. He (along with his coworkers) turned what could easily be a serious experience into a fun one by being humorous. He explained to me what my car might be going through and assured me that it can be taken care of.

Ivan even took the time to walk me over to the other side of the business in order for me to get a car to borrow while my car gets serviced. He could have easily just told me where to go, but instead he made sure to walk me all the way to the next person that was going to help me and even got us introduced.

He's definitely going to be my go-to guy at this location.

I am EXTRAORDINARILY impressed by the service at Alexander MINI. Every time I have brought the car in for service or called with questions, they were right on top of things. i was having some trouble with my car and it had to be towed in. The customer service was fantastic--I had a loaner on the spot! and Lewis Lam is one of the most professional and pleasant people to work with. i highly highly recommend that you have him service your car. He is so courteous and really makes sure the customer is catered to. All in all, I have had the best experience with the Alexander MINI folks and am so happy that I bought my car from this dealer. The service is what your'e paying for and it is well worth it!

Tanya L. | 2013-03-04

I've been here twice for service and have no complaints. Relaxed and spacious waiting area, free drinks, and TV. The workers are friendly and treat you like you're a new customer. (Most places I've been to tend to treat service customers like an annoyance)

I don't remember the first Service Advisor I worked with, but this time I had Ivan as my Service Advisor. He was personable, funny and was helpful with the questions I had. When I had to push back a service for a later time due to finances, he was accepting and didn't pressure me into getting work done that I couldn't afford. Great service! Definitely coming back for service/new car needs in the future!

Amazing customer service today by Ivan Montejo!!! Morning Advisor at MINI

The service here is excellent. All of my experiences at Alexander Mini have been great, both with the staff and the customer service. Make sure to contact Mr. Travis Nelson when you need to get your car service, he always makes sure you are happy with your Mini and helps you through all the process.

I tend to dread buying a car because I feel like the whole time I'm trying to avoid getting tricked into paying too much. What I loved about working with Josh was that I didn't feel like he was trying to trick me or waste my time. He was very genuine and did everything he could to get me everything I asked for. It was the nicest car shopping experience I've ever had. I highly recommend working with JOSH AT ALEXANDER MINI if you're thinking about getting one. :)

Shawntel S. | 2013-03-04

I would like to start off and say I heart Nick Alexander Mini. Although I dread taking the drive all the way from Carson to downtown, just to bring my car in for her check up, I have to give major props to one particular service man. That service man would have to be Ivan, he takes special care of me and half the time I feel like its only me. Seeing all the awards this man gets he truly deserves it. Ivan always reminds me that my car is the original mini with eyelashes.  He makes sure that everything, from getting my car back on time to having someone vacuum the inside of my car is specialized in my liking. If anyone who reads this is considering a mini, please do Nick Alexander Mini and let no one else help you but Ivan. He will make everything run smooth and he has a great sense of humor.

I walked into the Dealership and was met by a very friendly staff from the onset.  My sales guy, Danny Kim was awesome.  He worked with me until I was able to get what I was looking for after taking two different test drives.  We crunched the numbers and I was driving away in my new JCW Coupe within hours.  Alexander Mini is a very professional dealership that will get you the car you want with no pressure.

Lara T. | 2013-02-09

I purchased a 2013 Countryman (my very first MINI) from Nick Alexander yesterday.

Working with Majd Anaim was a great experience. He was very kind, patient, relaxed, and didn't push me at all at any point during the entire process. He's very knowledgable, and he definitely goes the extra mile - as does his manager - to make sure his customers leave both happy and fans of the dealership.

When it came down to cost, he took the time to really work with me on a deal I am happy with, made sure I understood the different financing options, ran the numbers for all three, and allowed me room to make my decision pressure-free.

Once I was all set and ready to leave in my new car, he walked me through how to use all of the controls, helped me set up my phone to connect with the bluetooth function, and when I ran back to drop something off today, answered some further questions.

Signing off on the paperwork was actually fun thanks to steve Oh. He's also very nice, and looks out for his customers. These guys are a fantastic team!

I would HIGHLY recommend coming here. Majd and Steve solidified my desire to come back when its time to get my next MINI. I have no doubt they'll take great care of me again, and they'll take excellent care of you too.

Thanks a million, Gents!

My experience with Alexander MINI has been great from beginning all the way through the middle of my lease (where I'm at now) - especially wonderful is Lewis in the service department.  He saw to it that my drop off and pick up were convenient to me and made sure I had a nice loaner car for the duration of the service.  Alexander MINI is great - they make me love my car even more.

Nick said no!?!

But seriously, this place couldn't be bothered with me! I would have given this car dealership one star but they have such a huge inventory (which is worth one star in my book) that it wouldn't be fair.

I considered trading in my gas guzzling luxury suv for a mini and came here with high expectations after hearing all of there "nick can't say no" advertisements on pandora radio. I test drove the mini convertible then went into the cubicle to talk numbers.

You expect a dealership to start high then work down during the negotiations, but the salesman Danny was out of control! He low balled us by 6k on our trade in then said the best he could do on a 36 month lease was 3,700 down + $749 a month... Hmmmm so I didnt know "leasing a car" meant paying for it in full ($30,664 after all lease payments) for a $31,000 car.

We couldn't help but laugh at the thought! We told him it wasn't even close (even though our current payment is $650 a month). He said okay and shook our hands as we left. I thought he was employed to "sale"? I forgot to my credit is above 700, I should have been given some consideration on that alone.

Either way we would NEVER consider buying a car here and are telling all of our friends to keep away from this place unless they want to be insulted!

Very impressed with their service.. The entire team was professional and attentive. Happy with Kim and her partners as they define the meaning of great costumer service.

First time car buyer
I bought a used MINI cooper hardtop and I had a great experience dealing with all the people at Nick Alexander. Danny was the guy who took care of us showing us different cars and stuff. Though they didn't have my fav color (Blue) but I still managed to get a good deal or a good car (Red) ! One leeetle thing was that I had to drive quite a few times to look at different cars and luckily the last time I was there they had new inventory which wasn't even put up on their site and matched my requirements perfectly.

In a nutshell these guys are great, competitive prices, good staff, great people to deal with. I haven't gone back for servicing yet but I'm hoping not to have any issues. I totally love and adore my MINI :-)

I purchased a Mini Countryman from Nick Alexander Mini about six months ago.  Despite, being hesitant about the purchase of a new car (and loyalist to my Saab convertible), the sales staff was very patient with me and we ended up working out a wonderful deal.  I was very happy with my Countryman.  It drove well and I was thrilled with the size of the car.  About three months ago I was in a bad car accident.  I remember very little of the accident. I am convinced the side airbags in this car saved my life.  I feel truly grateful to have been driving the Mini Countryman when the accident occurred, they are very well built cars.

Second Mini from Alexander.  Danny Kim was professional, personable, low-key, answered all our questions, and made the whole process great.  We got exactly the car we wanted, at a fair price, and could not be happier.  Our original purchase, a convertible S, also a CPO, is still going strong.  We have another Mini dealer close to our house, but made the drive to Alexander to get a car, which should say everything you need to know.

To clarify, this review is strictly about the SERVICE DEPT, not the sales dept, because I did not get my 2011 Mini Cooper from Nick Alexander (although I wish I had!).

I have never been disappointed about the quality of care that Alexander Mini has shown me although I was not an original customer of theirs.  I leased my Mini from Bob Smith which has a service dept that is ATROCIOUS (another review for another day).

I first went to NA's service dept because my left rear tire was running low on air.  When I went to take it in, the service rep asked me to slowly back up my car and he saw that I had a nail in my tire.  Because Mini doesn't cover that kind of problem under the warranty, he told me a place that could fix it for $20 instead of letting the their service dept do it which would have been way more expensive.  I really appreciated his honesty and felt like I could trust this place since they're not money-grubbing, unlike other dealerships.

The next time I took it in, the service rep TOTALLY hooked it up.  I got my tires rotated for free after he heard that Bob Smith's service dept lied to me and told me that Mini Coopers had staggered tires (which they're not!) and did not rotate them like I had requested.  I also got a spa detail on my car in which the guys not only took out all the stubborn water marks from horrendous sprinkler water and removed the dried tree sap on my car, but they also applied touch-up paint where it was needed.  To top it off, I was mailed a 10% coupon from them that had already expired, but they still honored it anyway.  LOVE IT!

Since I took my car in, I've had people - COMPLETE STRANGERS - approach me and ask me questions about my car and have received SO many compliments!  I couldn't be happier with the service dept at NA and will ONLY take it to them instead of Bob Smith in the future.

I just got my Mini two days ago and I couldn't be happier with the deal we worked out. I did my homework, and I knew what I wanted to pay based on what other people paid at other dealerships, and although we had to haggle a bit, they respected it in the end and I got what I wanted. Danny was my salesman and he was really friendly and patient. One of the best buying experiences I've had.

great, fast, satisfying car buying process

Just purchased a 2013 Cooper from George Manjarrez at Alexander Mini.  If you want a great experience - no drama - no pressure - just a straightforward purchase -  ask for George.  He knows his stuff and will work hard to help you. It was truly a painless process. Don't waste your time going anywhere else. They have the best selection - not the run of the mill Minis; some truly unique combinations. There's a reason they're the #1 mini dealership in the country.

Deirdre G. | 2013-01-02

Purchased my first MINI Roadster convertible on Thursday and I'm loving it! George M. was my salesman and he was great to work with. The experience overall was good. I will definitely recommend Alexander MINI to anyone in the market for a new car.

Kris V. | 2012-12-31

Just bought a 2013 Countryman here yesterday after visiting several other dealerships in the area.  Do yourself a favor and ask for Danny Kim.  He's a super friendly, helpful guy, and he immediately found us the exact car we were looking for on their backlot.  No other dealership in the area was able to find us the car we were looking for; Danny did it in a matter of minutes. Don't waste your time anywhere else.

Jen M. | 2012-12-01

Had an incredible experience at Alexander mini! Danny Kim is super knowledgable and thorough in his attention to detail. If you get your car from him, you're in good hands. I love my new mini!!

I just bought a 2012 Mini Cooper convertible last week and I am VERY satisfied with my purchase and service! I worked with Mike Scholz and he was so great to work with. I'd HIGHLY recommend buying from here. I got a great deal and the customer service is excellent.

Two high fives for Alexander Mini! The car is amazing! I've never been happier with a car purchase.

Jovo V. | 2012-11-29

First time car buyer.

Absolutely amazing experience. Mike Sholz was awesome and really helpful.
He even helped us get an insurance policy online, (I don't think that's in a normal list of duties for a car salesman)

Fair price for the car, great warranty/maintenance services offered by Alexander. It's obvious why they are ranked as the best.

William R. | 2012-11-28

My wife and I ordered a mini through Nick Alexander. Mike Scholz was our advisor. Very professional, courteous, knowledgeable and absolutely no pressure.  Steve Oh in finance was superb to deal with and made the whole thing seamless. They collectively changed my perception of the car buying experience in a positive way.
Thanks
Bill Raphael

I just bought my new mini here with my own credit that has no credit history yet. Danny Kim and his manager helped out so I can buy it under my credit (I had co-signer tho). Even though my case took almost half day hours, and it was actually Danny's off day but he spent that time for helping me out. I didn't even have to nor need to negotiate, but they also suggested the best way that I can rid off my previous over mileage lease car and get new mini.
Now, I don't really care about the conditions of cars they have but I'm really appreciating of their effort and careful service. Strongly recommend this dealer.

These guys are great! Hassle free dealing, look for Fidel~ there are so many to choose from.

Jesse L. | 2012-11-19

After having my car for a whopping 6 months, it was totaled at the hands of another driver who ran a red light while I was driving to work. After loads of paperwork and discarded tissues, I headed back down to Alexander Mini.

I was once again greeted by Mike Scholz, who assisted me very quickly in finding exactly what I wanted. This time, the car was on the lot, so I drove off in it same day. He makes the whole purchase process very pain-free. I also wanted to point out that once everything was done, and I was in my car ready to leave, Mike hurriedly ran outside to catch my attention. He had forgot to put on the tow-caps to my car, which were currently located in my owner's manual book. This showed me that even after the sale is complete, Mike has the follow-through to make sure the customer is satisfied.

Additionally, I worked with Jerod Pedersen who made the paperwork as easy as can be.

2 cars within 6 months, no hassles. I will be back for future purchases.

I got my Mini here. The service was nice and the selection is good. I went to both Monrovia and Nick Alexander and definitely got a better deal here. Thanks to Mike who was very helpful.

Mike is the most awesome salesman ever ...!!!.. He is very helpful and friendly. Very nice deal and service.

Just bought a brand new mini countryman yesterday. Danny Kim and his team was very helpful and great! They were honest and good people. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a MINI.

Great car buying experience. Got better service here than I have buying cars for 3x the price. Great deal too.

Hannah L. | 2012-10-30

bought a used mini here a few sundays ago. very easy process...the whole thing took about 3.5 hours. i knew what year, model, and color i wanted and had seen some options online (at kbb.com ) that fit my interests so that saved a lot of the hassle once i got there.

i met with jerome william and he was incredibly helpful. i got the car i wanted for a fair price. he also called me a few days after to ask if i had any questions.

great car, great price, easy (not sleazy) salesmen.

I absolutely hate car shopping. It has to be one of the most stressful things a person could do. But my experience here totally changed my mind. The first time I went to the dealership was on a whim, I just wanted to see what flavors the MINIs came in. That day was fun checking out the different cars and taking a test drive.  I came in again when we had some time to kill before going to an event in Little Tokyo and met Mike Scholz, soon to be my Motoring Advisor.  He was awesome, understood that I wasn't quite ready to buy a new car so he gave me lots of information, but no pressure.  I needed time to do my research, talk to my dad, etc.  Mike kept in touch with me via email and I finally came in to talk about pricing, though I was more than ready to leave without a car if I didn't get a good deal.  Well, he gave me a great deal and did leave with a new MINI baby.  I felt that I was treated fairly and with respect.  Mike made the experience virtually stress free and I highly recommend asking for him when you go to the dealership to get your new baby.

Ashley O. | 2012-10-19

I took my second trip to Nick Alexander yesterday and was extremely disappointed with the customer service I received. I went in the first time a few weeks ago after my car was totaled looking for a used MINI. I have a check from the insurance company for $10k to use as a down payment and made it clear from the get go that I have a substantial amount of money to put down and that I currently have no car. I wanted him to know that I am serious about buying.

Mike Sholz, the salesperson we were working with, was friendly, but very eager to get me to lease/buy a a new 2013. This is to be expected, so I wasn't really bothered by that. He pulled a little bait and switch, giving me an amazing (and too good to be true) offer on a 2013 just as we were walking out. When we called back the next morning it was through their "MINI Select" program, which from what I understand, is a lease dressed up like a purchase. This also didn't really bother me, since it's kind of expected when buying a car (even though I made it clear that I do not want to lease under any circumstances).

A couple weeks later, I emailed him to let him know that I am still looking for a used MINI. I told him the specifications that I'm ideally looking for and gave him an idea of the monthly payments I'm hoping to make. He told me about one car (the one I originally test drove) and I wrote back with some research from Edmunds/Kelley Blue Book, saying that I felt we should be able to get closer to my ideal price based on that info. He wrote back saying that while that info may be correct, they purchased it at an auction for much more. Then, he told me about another used MINI that they had with almost the exact specifications. He said that they may be able to work out a deal with that one that will fit into better my price range. Again, this is all normal, car-buying stuff, so the one star review is not a result of all these things. It is for the experience I had on my second trip to Nick Alexander.

Yesterday, I decided to go back during my lunch break to look at both cars and hopefully leave with one of them. From the moment he walked outside, Mike seemed less than enthused about selling me a car. We asked a few questions about the original one - he reminded me that the sticker price is more than I ideally want to pay. I told him I would be interested in crunching numbers with him to see if we could work something out. Instead of bringing me inside, he started pointing out the other cars in the lot.

Then, I asked if I could take a look at the one he emailed me about. He reluctantly said yes and went to go find the 'used car manager' to pull it out. 20 minutes later he comes back without the car, saying it's not there. He sent me a screen shot of the specs for the car just the day before, so I'm not sure where it went.

After that, Mike explained to me that my ideal price was too low and that I would be unable to find what I'm looking for in the range (FYI - my offer to him was only $2,000 less than the sticker price). We then stood there awkwardly for a few seconds before my colleague and I just decided to leave. On our way out, Mike's only effort to turn things around was to ask if leasing was still out of the question. Yes Mike, like I explained to you before, I am looking to PURCHASE a USED MINI. I have $10k to put down, no car at the moment, and am looking to leave this place with a car TODAY if you actually make it seem like you want my business. I left completely baffled as to why he wasn't even trying to make something work.

My message to Mike and the management at Nick Alexander - I may be a first time car buyer, but I am certainly not new to customer service, sales or business. If any of your salespeople are willing to turn away someone who clearly needs a car and has that much money to put down on the spot, you don't deserve the business. It's very easy to treat someone with respect, and unfortunately, I didn't feel that Mike gave me that level of customer service yesterday.  I am happy to continue my search for a MINI if it means I won't have to deal with Mike again, and I will even pay a little more for one if I can get some decent customer service to go along with it.

Claudia N. | 2012-10-15

I would definitely recommend getting your mini cooper from Alexander Mini. They have the best designed styles in stock! The staff is very friendly and down to earth and the dealership itself is equipped with fun things to do while waiting, like video games and espresso makers.  I love my blacked out mini and always get compliments on it! Several of my friends have bought their mini's from Alexander as well and are as satisfied as I am with their choice.

Oliver L. | 2012-10-13

I was told that I was wasting their time. Literally.

I went to this place today to just look around and I just wanted to see the prices( I told them upfront). I was all excited since i just got my license yesterday and I was looking for my very first car, The dealer was showing me cars and trying to make a deal, of course it it his job. I didn't mind that part at all.

Anyways, I got a deal but I could not get the finance plan since I don't have any credit history apparently, ( I was going to pay most in cash and make a payment for a little bit) so I needed more time to figure out what to do with money. so I was making phone calls. But the dealer was saying " You guys are basically wasting my time. you got the price you wanted but i don't know what you want. If you want the deal I can help you, if not I have other customers to help." I was so upset and i could not say anything. I was so honest about how I don't know anything about cars and how to deal and stuff. I guess I was too naive about this car selling business. I know I didn't go there to make friends but I was expecting a better service. And thank you, Danny for the lesson that I learned today that I can't trust car dealers.

I understand that he might have been frustrated since I was a customer who doesn't know anything and indecisive. But aren't the dealers apposed to help? I don't know about that dealer, but ( I can't say the price but) that is not a small amount of money for me to spend like I'm buying a pair of pants. I guess this dealership gets a lot of customers who buys whatever they want without thinking much about it, but I am an average customer who has to worry about money sometimes. So sorry I was wasting your time, I didn't know that i had to decide everything that quick. But please do not say that you can help customer when you don't want to. And I  clearly told you that i will think about it but you were the one who wanted to make a deal. I wasn't playing any game. I literally wanted to think about it since I have to spend a lot and I would use it for really long time.

Mini is not the last car in the world I can buy, there are tons of other cars out there. "yeah go ahead and find something better. I know you want this" attitude made me really angry. I am not saying the dealer's name since it is not a private mini website, but I really really felt horrible this afternoon and my day was totally ruined by that dealer. I think you should know that you made your dealership looks bad and you just lost a customer who is not important at all to your business.

We ended up buying a 2012 Mini Countryman from Crevier Mini.  The service we received at Crevier was outstanding.  Our household now has two Mini Coopers, and we will get them serviced at Crevier.  I tried Alexander Mini on two occasions, and both times they failed me.

Grant K. | 2012-08-31

Just picked up my Mini Clubman last night from this dealer.
I strongly recommend this dealer.  I went to this dealer first when
I was ready to buy since I knew they had the most volume/sales.
I didn't need to go anywhere else.

Ask for Kim, b/c she was excellent to work with.  She made this the
best buying experience I've had so far.  I can second the previous review
about her reaching out via text, email diligently throughout the whole process.

Don't waste your time going anywhere else!!!!

Just bought a MINI Roadster from Danny there. The whole experience was nice. I had a specific model in mind, budget and timeframe when I wanted to be in it. Danny made it all happen and worked with me the whole way. I'm a happy customer.
Thanks Danny.

Nick Alexander Mini
The People who took great care of us:
Gabriel( he is just a jewel, they are lucky to have him)
Steve Ho in Finance(Wow, he rocks!)
Brian(Sales Manager. Kind and generous)
Kim S. (Sales person, efficient, kind- She was texting me and emailing me diligently, until I bought my car.)

The overall experience to buy my Mini Clubman seemed very quick and efficient. There was a major snafu which was addressed by Brian, the sales manager. He was great- My sales person was Kim and she handed me off to her assistant, Gabriel, who is a marvel. Kim is really lucky to have Gabriel act as her proxy.

While my car was being painted, Mini Alexander arranged a loaner to be delivered to my house and my mini to be picked up by Gabriel. What they loaned us was a BMW X3, I was pleasantly shocked!
My car was sent to their body shop in order to paint my C- Pillars black. Gabriel was on his phone texting me progress. He is kind, unbelievably patient, and has amazing people skills. He really took care of me.
He was there every day texting me progress and so forth. He made sure that all my needs were met in a timely manner. Gabriel was always available to the very end when he delivered my Mini to our home. Wow! It looked like I imagined. They even filled my gas tank, topping it off.

This was our first ever brand new car purchase and I have to say that this whole team made it painless. After all, the experience should be fun!
I have to say that they provided me and my husband Platinum customer service.
I will purchase my next Mini from this dealership without hesitation.

Gabriel thanks again for all your hard work! You are amazing. : )

OMG!!! I was so lucky to know there is Nick Alexander MINI in L.A~~~~~~
Until before I visit this office, and I meet Danny Kim who is a motoring advisor, I was not clear about Mini Cooper and the differences between leasing and purchasing.
However, now I am almost an expert on MINI Cooper, and I am driving a Red MINI.
All employees of Nick Alexander MiNi are super kind, warm, and friendly.

Especially, I was so happy to have leasing contract with Danny Kim.
He was the person who helped me to become a MINI expert with very detailed description/explaining about MINI.
There are reasons why I loved to have contract with Danny.
1. He helped me to have an objective point of view, and it helped me to make a right  decision. Although he works for the company, he didn't give me only merits of the MINI, so when I asked some questions about the demerits of MINI, he gave me honest answers. It made me to have credibility of the company.
( Wait, I know what you are thinking now....NO WORRIES, the ratio of merits to demerits is 8:2)
2. He was very patient, attentive, and kind. I have to admit that I am little bit fastidious/picky when I make any contract or when I buy something. However, he never showed his temper, and he never forced me to make a decision. It made me feel so comfortable. He gave me very detailed explanation with demonstration on every sing button in MINI, so I didn't have to struggle to figure what the buttons are. =)
3. He was good-looking, cute, and sweet. I think I don't have to give any supporting explanation for this part. You will see it when you visit the office. =)

So, I highly recommend you to visit the Nick Alexander MINI office and find Danny Kim to have consultation on MINI if MINI is in your mind. =)

Oh, don't forget to find Jerod who is a Finance Manager if you have any question about finance issue. He is very kind and knowledgeable. Is he good-looking, too? Go and check it out!!! =)

Ivey M. | 2012-08-07

I just bought my third MINI Cooper S... and I did it at Universal MINI, because Nick Alexander is HORRIBLE.

I leased my first Cooper with Alexander back in 2007. I got a little bit screwed on the payments, but I was young and excited to have a cool car.

Fast forward to when it came time to return the damn thing. God, what a nightmare that turned out to be. They walked around the car and basically came up with about 3k worth of "damage" that I would have to pay for. Nevermind the fact that according to the guidelines set by MINI USA, all but about $200 was considered "forgivable wear and tear". Well, lucky for me, they "would be willing to waive all of that if I was interested in purchasing a new Cooper!" Hooray. My sales guy at the time, David, I believe, was sweet-as-pie when I finally agreed to buy a new 2010.

Everything about that 2010 was a nightmare, but nothing so much as the dealership itself. The best (or worst, depending on how you look at it) example of their incompetence was when my front brakes needed to be replaced. After getting the car back from the dealership, I noticed a loud and gut-turning grinding noise whenever I tried to stop. Come to find out they had botched the brake job and had completely damaged not one, but BOTH rotors. Back to the shop. About a week later, the car was delivered to my apartment COMPLETELY COVERED IN ROCK CHIPS. The hood. The grill. The windshield. And both the driver and passenger doors had missing paint, down to the primer.

I was L I V I D.

But it gets worse.

When I brought it to the attention of the Manager, he tried to tell me that it was MY FAULT. That they had probably always been there and I just hadn't noticed. Unfortunately for him, his flatbed driver did an amazingly thorough walk-around of the car when he picked up it initially, and there were no paint chips at all.

After getting into a very loud and heated argument with him at the dealership, the manager finally went to "talk with Nick Alexander, himself." to see what they could do for me. Eventually he came back and said, and I quote, "I still don't think we're in the wrong, but we're going to take care of it for you anyway. You win."

I'm sorry, what? Even with documentation proving that the car was picked up in pristine condition and dropped off completely chipped, he was acting like I had just pulled one over on them. As if I had broken into the lot after-hours and did a few donuts in a gravel pit for shits and giggles.

Back to the shop the car goes for another two weeks to get repainted and a new windshield installed.

Cut to the first rainy day since getting the car back. Low and behold, the wiper blades don't even make contact with half of the windshield. They managed to find a defective windshield that actually was actually flat on the drivers side.

Yet again, I'm stuck driving to the middle of nowhere to convince some jerk that, yet again, they've screwed up my car.

Another week goes by and FINALLY my car is returned in working order.

If you're in the market for a MINI, do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague.

We live in Cerritos and we got our previous mini at Crevier in Santa Ana (20miles from us) because their cust service is excellent. We wanted the Countryman-S and have been looking at Santa Ana and SignalHill. Santa Ana couldnt give us the deal we want and Signal Hill had a BAD cust service! We decided to drive to AlexanderMini (30miles from us). Their cust service is amazing!! Look for FIDEL! He worked with what we wanted and needed and had an EXCELLENT customer service. Feel free to email or message me regarding this review. Really glad we tried here.

John K. | 2012-07-30

This is about the service, which has been the best.  Ivan is my rep.  He calls on time.  He makes a deal and the deal gets done.  When I was close to having a fix come under the warranty (or not), Ivan and his manager worked with me to help.  They cared and wanted to please so that I would come back.  This is good for business because I will go back and they took great care of me.

Lorena M. | 2012-07-22

This is probably the most delayed review, but better late than never. I brought in my car for service a few months ago and had a great experience. Halton Martinez was my Service Advisor and he was great. The service was excellent and they even provided me with a rental car to use for the day. And, I mean, come on... You can't go wrong when there is a super Nintendo in the customer lounge, right?

gloria f. | 2012-06-27

Brought the mini into service and was told to ask for Ivan.  Now I know why, he was great.  He returned my calls, walked me through the problems and got it fixed properly.

Alvin Y. | 2012-06-22

This is an awesome dealership. Their salesperson, Kim, was really nice and easy to deal with. Our shopping experience was easy, and we got the deal that we wanted. I would reccomend this to anyone who's interested in a MINI to check them out first.  Also, having one of the most selection over there really helps make choosing the MINI with the right color and options easy.

Tracy R. | 2012-06-07

If I had to rate on location there would be no stars!  Middle of nowhere!  But this is about what is - and that's the people and services at Alexander.  I've been twice and my service guru, Ivan, has always been awesome.  Super helpful, a great attitude, and easy to work with.

On my first trip my sweet man came with me as I didn't think I would be given a loaner.  When Ivan saw T he said, oh just so you know...so that made it easier for this second time.  I went in with some brake issues that they said would be finished by end of the day.  I was counting on that as the next day (Friday) and the entire weekend was filled with back to back events. By EOD Thursday the part that was needed came in but was broken.  So they wanted to keep the car overnight and have me come back down.  That was going to be impossible due to my schedule.  It was frustrating.  So Ivan said let me see if I can bring you the car in the morning.  I did have to call (both on Thursday and Friday morning) to see what was up and do what I felt was a little pushing on my behalf to get what I needed, but Ivan ultimately made it happen.  The time of their delivery was tough - right during a lunch i had.  But Ivan said just give me the name of the valet and we'll swap it out while you're at lunch, you don't need to even be there.  Sure enough, 2 hours later when I came out...there was my car.  Fixed and clean!  :)

Thank you Ivan for being so accommodating and making sure I got what I needed and was happy!  I hope that sushi place was good!  :)

I am on my second MINI and it is rare to like a dealership almost as much as you like your car.  I had driven over a nail so had to get a new tire yesterday. Called Alexander Mini's service dept. and got an appointment quickly.  The minute you drive up everyone that you deal with makes you feel like a special customer.  Before I get out of my car, there appeared a sweet guy with a clipboard and he's looking at my tires. Lewis Lam introduced himself to me and he diligently sized up the situation and got the paperwork done swiftly so that the mechanics could do their job. I've always had exceptional service at my dealership and when I found out that Lewis had just started a couple of months ago I could tell that he'd fit right in there.  He made sure that I would get the car washed too and smiled sincerely when I remarked how nice my Mini looked. They are lucky that I don't live closer otherwise I'd be in there more often!

Tam T. | 2012-05-22

Good dealership to buy a Mini from. The Sales/Finance team of Laura, Josh, and Steve were very easy to deal with gave us a great deal. If you want to buy a mini, buy it here as they are most competitive with pricing and service.

The only reason I deducted 1 star was because the quick detail/car wash mini did when I first took the car home gave my car tons of swirl marks. I tried washing and polishing them off by hand but couldn't. I was then called/followed up by Gabriel who was very nice over the phone. He told me to come in and they would buff out the swirl marks and "do whatever it takes" to get the car the way I wanted. So the next day I brought my mini in for detailing service, only to find 2 hours later that the swirls were still there and it looked like they just washed the car and disregarded the whole point I brought it in for. They even told me they did not polish or use a buffer because of fear it would strip the clear coat....

So lesson learned. If you want to buy a mini and get a great deal come to Alexander Mini. If you are very picky about your car/paint job and want that new car shine with no swirl marks go to a professional car detailing shop instead.

Overall, this was my only complaint but this dealership I would definitely buy from them again.

With soon-to-be six drivers at home and four cars which are being used full time already, we have wanted to add one more car to our household. We decided to consider leasing or purchasing car for one of our daughters as she graduates from law school and to bring home the car that she has been driving for her younger siblings.

During a period of research and internet shopping I was impressed by the Nick Alexander Mini website regarding both the pricing and selection they seemed to carry. After a personal recommendation from a family member we decided to come down and take a look. We met Shep Nelson and Laura Morrow and we were very pleased with the experience we had during the two dates that we shopped there. Both of them clearly take a lot of pride in the dealership and in the products that they carry. Shep referred us to Laura, who was patient and knowledgeable.  As a Mini owner herself Laura was able to describe every aspect of these cars with ease. Since we were considering this purchase/lease for one of our children the safety of the car is very important to us. I was especially impressed by Laura's knowledge in this area and by the end of the first visit I was satisfied that the Mini is solid, safe, and very well made. As an artist I appreciate the fun and thoughtful design of the Mini Cooper but in the end I was swayed by the safety features and the overall value.

We found the car that suits our needs perfectly at Nick Alexander Mini. This turned out to be a Mini with a very reasonable price, low miles, and a nice warranty; this Mini was just returned from a lease situation a few days earlier. Despite the fact that we ended up purchasing a previously leased Mini for our daughter instead of a new one, the service we continue to receive has remained top notch. The experience has been calm, honest, and pleasant from beginning to end. Upon completion of the purchase they were kind enough to agree to hold the car for us for almost two weeks until graduation day. We will pick up the car this Friday, fully detailed and beautiful. Our daughter does not expect this, and her graduation day should prove to be very memorable. To Shep, and to Laura- we honestly can't thank you enough for making this happen for us. If we choose to purchase another Mini, we will be back. And with six drivers in the house, you never know..

This review is for the tattooed receptionist at front. I had a great experience until i met her while having a oil change. I heard about her before how she is rude and don't really care about customers.  All i can say is... they were right.  She assume that we can read her mind. Also, i waited for my car to arrive from service, i waited 20 min until i asked her where my car was and she said you have to pick it up yourself and the key's in the car. I don't know why they still keep her there. She seem really unhappy sitting there.

I am, as always, thoroughly impressed with the crew at BMW, particularly with Elan. He is expedient and thorough when it comes to handling and keeping my car in tip-top shape. Thanks to Elan, I am a very satisfied BMW client.

First of all... this is Alexander Mini's second Yelp page avoiding all the other non-satisfactory reviews: yelp.com/biz/nick-alexan…

So, not to put the 5 Star reviews on blast, but Eek! Methinks not. There are certain expectations that we all have when car shopping... the excitement, the fun, the long long long financing time post negotiations on price and down payment (given that you're not just getting screwed with a bad deal). So going in you know what you can afford and that you want a good deal, no matter what.

At Alexander Mini, I was expecting a 5 Star experience, especially with all the reviews on Yelp and some friends who recommended I go there as that's where they got their Mini.

Ready to buy with cash on hand, the very nice salesman (who will remain nameless as he is the only reason this place is getting at least 2-stars instead of 1) searched the lot for the car I wanted. They didn't have it... but it was to be delivered in two days! I signed the deal with my partner, who I was sharing the car with, and was excited to have my first car in 4 years after moving back to L.A. from NYC. The deal was great and worth waiting for....

... and waiting... as those two days passed, and then two more...

OH, I forgot to mention I already put $1000 down.

Thinking I was getting a much needed car for my newly busy work schedule, I was screwed, as I made so many work and family appointments, on top of the anticipation of cruising PCH in my new ride.

Two more days passed, Mini had no idea where or when the car I already signed up for would arrive... so I was about to tell them forget it and start searching somewhere else as I needed a car asap.

Then the nice salesman said I could have a loaner until the my Mini arrived! A free car to zip around the city held me over and I went to all my appointments, had a fun time getting used to a Mini kind of drive.

Cut to me having the loaner for 2-weeks and no sign of the car.
Cut to me FINALLY getting a call from the nice salesman saying my car has arrived!
Cut to me immediately coming over to check out the car, approve some custom work, and... day duh duh daaaaaah!!! ... sign the papers and finally take my car home.

... well that last part didn't happen because when we sat down to finally ink that paper - my name had been completely removed from the deal and it was only in my partners name. They said we would have to just accept it or sit down all over again and negotiate a new deal.

I'm a responsible, very clear communicator who has common sense and know that I would have never started the process unless my name was on my car so it would positively affect my credit score. So how or why I had to go through this roller coaster of "WooHoo! I have a car!" to "No. Wait... but almost" to "Finally! Yes" to "Oh no you di'int!" totally baffles me.

This obviously is my experience and these other 5 Stars are probably deserved, but I hope this isn't a new trend for Alexander Mini, which made me doubt the brand and immediately sent me over to Star Ford in Glendale where I finally got an amazingly better deal (incl. nav/bluetooth/leather/the works) with my name on the lease. So it was all meant to be.

I've been in sales. I've been in financing. I've been through numerous car buying transactions and they were all the same (except my first one which was a bit nerve wrecking.)

Thew crew at Nick Alexander MINI took buying experience to a different level for me.  My sister's car recently was totaled in a rain slip and she needed a car immediately.

Andres, the Sales Manager is the nicest, most professional, at the same time the friendliest guy in the world. I hassled so much with different options but he was always nice and his response was time was mere 5 minutes in finding a car that I was considering and having it in my e-mail inbox. He was thorough with financing/payment options and made sure we were all set to pick up the car.

Laura, sales Rep treated us as if we were her customers. She took us out for a test drive around the corner. She sincerely revered/congratulated us in getting a MINI and talked about how she wants to pick one up too. Even after the purchase she was thorough with showing us ALL the features and buttons of the car (including how to set up the radio channels~!) Thumbs up for her friendliness and customer service.

Steve, is the finance guy of MINI. He knew EXACTLY what he was doing and although explaining us ALL the additional options (extended warranty, manufacturer's warranty, maintenance program, etc.) he never once pressured us. We ended up sticking with their regular maintenance program: 3 Year/36,000 Miles fully covered warranty which included OIL CHANGE, FREE PICK UP/RENT CAR/PICK-UP within THIRTY miles of their location!

Overall this was THE BEST purchasing experience ever! It took us exactly 1 week from deciding on getting a MINI to picking up the exactly MINI we wanted at the price we wanted.

THANK YOU ALL AT ALEXANDER MINI! =)

When it comes to car dealers, hospitals, grocery stores....etc....I don't really have expectations! You pretty much go in and out. But Alexander MINI has shockingly met my expectations with their outstanding service. We met with Ivan who was beyond helpful. He made sure we were pleased customers and that our needs were being met with the service they were providing for our vehicle. There was also an incident that occurred while our Mini was being serviced. Somehow they accidently scratched the hood of our car, but didn't realize it. So when we picked up the car, my GF and I pointed out the scratch and they took it back to service it with no hesitation. Took care of the scratch and brought the car out within seconds. Thanks Alexander for your superb customer service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Been dealing with Nick Alexander for years.  They have been great.  When my Mini Cooper S needed service, the service department has always been 100%.  I've dealt with both Ivan & recently Eddie, and they have both been straight shooters.  Getting my car in & out of service quickly.  And going that little extra that makes me feel like they care about my car as much as I do.   Yes, customer service does matter and these guys are great.
