Ask for Hector!!! You tell him what you want and he will move mountains for you to make sure you leave happy. If you're just looking or getting an idea he doesn't pressure you or push you into making a decision. He finds the car that you want and let's you go from there. It took me about a month to still shop around and decide, and I went back to Jessup because he had the best customer service. He gave me the most trade in value, and I left with a bad ass 2013 convertible Camaro.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. They say they try to help out military members, but all they have done is consistenly scam them! On any given military forum for 29 palms, every single person cautions buyers to stay away from this place. They know the majority are young with some disposable income and they use this to upcharge car prices and interest rates. I will never recommend this place to anyone!

Stopped in to look for a Buick La Cross and made a mistake of giving my business card to a sales guy. Now I feel like im being hunted or forced to buy from them. 4 calls from 2 different sales guys both told I will contact them when we are ready to buy. This is not how to do business. Makes for a uneasy feeling. This is why we have kept our 02 VW jetta. Who wants to be pressured by sales guys. Sorry but we are looking for a sale with less drama and pressure. We will be looking some were else. Thanks but no thanks.Solar companies in this desert must hire the ex sales man from this place. I've visited two other car dealers in the area and no one else is badgering me. Look like they pay for the Yelp advertising good to not recommended posts.

Selling cars way over TrueCar suggested price. Then being told to make an offer of a certain price. Offering that certain price. And being told they will continue to look for a car inside the customer's budget. Bad customer service, no class. Not willing to sell a car at a price thay suggested.

Before coming to Jessup, I had a bad experience at another dealer in the valley. A sales manager at Fiesta Ford made me leave crying because he was forcing a car down my throat!!

I went in to Jessup Auto Plaza knowing that I wanted a safe and attractive car. I did not know too much about the vehicles on the lot, but everybody I worked with had so much patience with me!

I asked to speak with a manager before I did any shopping. I'm so GLAD I did. I met Cindy Rivas who really treated me like family. It was nice to be able to work with another female. She showed me all of my options and helped me work out a good deal.

I'm a young woman on a budget and I decided on the Cadillac ATS. I was able to find a model that came with a turbo and in the white diamond color! I'm so glad they had what I wanted because I did not want another plain jane car!

When I get in my car every day I am so genuinely happy with my purchase. I'm sure I will be back in a few years to upgrade and I want to make sure I get to work with Cindy again!

We had the most relaxing experience purchasing a used Cadillac. No pressure at all, We talked kids, dogs, homes, cars. Are salesman Ralph and finance Perry were very knowledgeable. We both talked to a lot of the sales people there, And everyone said they left other dealerships to come and work here. We have had a lot of work done on are older Buick's (24 year old park avenue and a roadmaster estate wagon, All work was done fast and right. Ryan are service tech was an top of everything. We went for the interior and exterior protection package on the new car (free rental while car was being detailed) when we went to pick up the car they knocked off all the protection charges and lowered are car payment A LOT! are 2007 Cadillac DTS looked better than new! we have found are dealership for life.

Great customer service. My friend purchased his car in San Diego but had a question about a function on the vehicle. He was able to drive into the dealers lot and ask his question. I had the easiest purchase transaction ever with Dan Jessup and Steve Moore.  I saw a car on their pre-owned lot last weekend...made a phone call to the sales department, got an appt, took a test drive, made an offer, haggled just a bit, and was out the door with my "new" car in two hours.  Now the best part:  they took the car back in on Monday for a full detail and very minor repairs to the bumpers.  Today I feel like I'm driving a brand new car.  Love their attitude.  Love their service standards.  Highly recommend.  And PS:  every car leaves their lot with a full tank of gas.  Nicely done, Dan and Steve.

I purchased a car yesterday and the experience was wonderful.  
Specifically, they were honest, fair, and very straightforward.  Once we reached an agreement (which only took about 10 minutes- none of this lengthy going back and forth; "my manager says this" and "my manager says that") I literally braced myself for the pushy pitch about extra warranties, packages, and hidden fees.  Previous experience tells me that is where the real cloak and dagger techniques are used; even at Costco certified dealerships. I am so excited to say there were NO SURPRISES and no extra costs I had to fight off!  I kept waiting for something to be different than discussed but it never came.  It is a family run business and it really felt like they were more interested in me having a good experience than getting every last penny out of the transaction they could.
My experience was genuinely a great one.  I will be going back to buy a car for my wife in a few months, I have referred my elderly father to them as well as a couple friends.

Purchased my car at this dealership, the purchasing experience was typical for a large car dealer, meaning it was okay, though I quickly tired of the back and forth pricing games. Since my car is still under warranty and includes the  service, I have been taking it to the Jessup Service department for approximately two years. The service has been outstanding, better than any dealer I have used in the past. Ryan is my service manager and always takes good care of me. Will try and buy my next vehicle at Jessup just so I still have the same service department.

After a HORRIBLE experience with GMC dealership at the I-10 Auto Mall, I made the trip out to Jessup Auto Plaza.  Jazz Janda and Rod Kidd earned my business the moment I walked on the lot! I explained to them that the I-10 dealership did not take me as a serious buyer and that their loss could be Jessup's gain!  Jazz assured me that he would do everything in his power to earn my business and he did just that!

As a business professional, husband and a father of three and my time is very limited.  Jazz and Rod did an excellent job of communicating with me throughout this transaction and were upfront the entire way.  They were flexible with my schedule and there when I needed them to be.  

The day after purchasing the vehicle, I noticed a few scratches that obviously happened on the lot or during transportation to the dealership.  I notified Jazz and he told me to bring the vehicle in to repair the minor blemishes.  Without asking, he offered me a loaner vehicle for my wife to drive while our Yukon was being returned to showroom condition.  Customer service as it should be!

In all, Jazz and Rod were extremely professional and gave me a deal that I simply could not walk away from! Their finance options were unbeatable and Caesar in the contract department sealed the deal.  Their attention to detail has earned my loyalty and I will continue to speak volumes about their level and execution of customer service! Loving our new 2013 SLT Yukon!!

What a great car buying experience. I've found house buying more easier than car buying and dread the haggling every time. I did not get this from Jessup Auto Plaza, the whole experience was flawless, and easy. I tried to work with a local dealer, who was plain rude, and felt like he was doing me a favor spending MY money with him. We called and spoke to GARRY who was awesome, we were able to work out a deal over the phone I might add. I picked the car, got the better deal, a better payment, and all around way better experience.  Even the guy Cesar? I think that's his name was pleasant when signing paper work no surprises, and everything I wanted I got. I definitely recommend talking to Garry, and Jessup for your next vehicle.
I know I will be buying from them again. Thanks guys. Love my Acadia.

This review is for the Service Department.  One of the worst experiences I have ever had.  Made my appointment online this morning, and was given a 12:00 noon appt, for a Mobile One Oil Change and 27 point inspection.  I arrived a few minutes early.  The technician informed me there were no Saab technicians on staff today, so I'd have to reschedule.  I said, "For a simple Oil Change???"  He said, " Oh, I guess our GM techs can do that.  He stamped "Customer Waiting" all over all the paperwork.  I waited patiently for an hour.  At 1 pm, I went back to my service rep Walter, and asked what was taking so long.  Walter says, "My techs go to lunch from 12 -1 pm".  I said "Why did you give me a 12 noon appt. if your techs were not even going to do anything?  He then says, "Your appointment was for Friday (yesterday)."  I said, No, I did not even make the appointment until Saturday morning, for today, so how could my appt have been for yesterday?".  He says he will get it done shortly.  Another half hour goes by, and no car.  I am really getting pissed.  He says they are "working on it now".  I said, : Let's go see."  He says, I'll be right back, and he appears with the car.  He discounted my bill for my "inconvenience".  Parting words from Walter, as he hands me his card.  "Be sure and call me directly next time, so you get stellar service."  Yeah, right.  I normally take my car to Performance Automotive.  They are excellent.  But they had no appointments available until mid next week.  This will for sure be my last visit to Jessup Service Department.  Now I know why Performance Automotive is so busy.  A lesson learned.  I should have read the YELP reviews on the service department.  Most of them are dreadful.  MR. GENERAL MANAGER, DO YOU EVER READ WHAT YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING?

We went  in today - Saturday - to test drive the new car we thought we would buy. They did not have one except the one the Manager was driving. The staff could not get off their ass to help us one minute - we will buy our new car elsewhere where the staff - 2 sales people plus the sales manager - even try to help a legit customer.  I hope it was not because it was two men showing up in a new Honda.

I received an email from Jessups 2 weeks after I just bought the cars.  They said that I needed to come back because they made a mistake when then wrote the contracts.   They found a rebate that they didn't know about.  Both of my payments went down and I'm getting a check back.    They just keep getting better.  Can't wait to hear from them again

My family has been purchasing cars from Dan Jessup for over 10 years and will only use him for any current or future needs. Our last vehicle was an 08 GMC Yukon Hybrid. Although we live in Pasadena, we chose to use Jessup Auto Plaza in Palm Desert for all our service needs as well because we trust Dan will be truthful and honest with any repairs needed and he will fight to get us the bets prices possible. Other dealerships in the Pasadena area were not as helpful as Dan was and I will always call him for needs. Thank you Dan for being so great......

The only thing positive that I can say is that my sales person, David did not use the high pressure sales tactic in fact he was quite pleasant but a liar nonetheless. I went to Jessup with preapproved financing from CapitalOne, I  already had the car that I wanted picked out from having checked it out online, I had even previously test driven it earlier in the day. So upon my return you would think that my sale would be seamless & relatively quick, NOT SO! I was asked to fill out a new credit application just "routine" until the funds clear from CapitalOne, that was a lie! Then I was told that my CapitalOne financing would not cover tax, title, & license without my putting money down, that was a lie! The warranty that was supposed to be included in the purchase price was being sold to me at the end of the deal at an outrageous rate, so I declined. The long and the short of it is I was so dumb to go through with this deal because they railroaded me(albeit politely) I have a fairly decent credit rating I walked in with a preapproved loan @ 3.26% I drive off with a decent car minus some of the ammenities it was said to have with a loan @ 6.9%.  I can't blame them for taking advantage of my stupidity but it's a real shame that they did. My advice, stay far away from these sharks unless you are paying cash for your vehicle! The best alternative(one I should have made the time for)is to get your preapproved financing through CapitalOne(very easy to qualify) & take it to the nearest CarMax(it will be worth the drive) that's how I purchase my previous vehicle but that's when I lived in a city that had a CarMax location and it was the best car buying experience of my life! This one however because the deal was so bad, it left me lukewarm on a car that I really loved upon the test drive!

As a former New Yorker, I'm the first to admit that I don't have a lot of experience buying cars. I moved to the desert about 4 years ago; during my time here I've leased a CTS, purchased the new Camaro, and of course had them both serviced (nothing has ever gone wrong that necessitated a repair, knock on wood.)

So, while I may not have a long list of other dealerships to compare Jessup with, I will say this: I don't see any reason why I should ever buy a car anywhere else. Needless to say, I'm a big fan of their operation, but I'm going to try to restrain myself a bit so I don't sound like a shill.

My purchase experiences at Jessup have been a pleasure; the environment is welcoming, there was no overbearing pressure, and my needs were attended to. I don't like overly intense sales staff when I'm making any purchase, much less a purchase of tens of thousands of dollars. I feel like they know just how to do it at Jessup -- answer my questions, help solve my problems, be friendly and courteous -- without making me feel obligated to make a decision I'm not comfortable with.

They are also knowledgeable and honest in my experience. Case in point: since the Camaro is now my only car, after talking with Dan Jessup I decided on the V6 rather than the V8. This gave me not only some pretty solid fuel economy (got 28 mpgs on my last San Diego trip, above their highway estimate!), but extra cash I could use to pick up the options I wanted. I really love that car. They love their cars too, and you can see how happy they are when their customers get excited by their purchases. Everyone came out to congratulate me on my new car, help me figure out the features, and take pictures. That's a pretty gratifying sales experience.

As far as service goes, I have only ever dealt with Rick, and honestly, it's difficult for me to imagine how a service representative could be better at the job. I am always happy to see him, he remembers me and we catch up (how he remembers so many people I have no idea), and my servicing is always done much faster than I expect, with no surprises. I don't know how other people feel about their treatment at Jessup, but I can tell you that I have always been treated more than fairly there. A recent example: A couple months into my Camaro ownership, I found a huge screw in my new tire that I must have run over. Those tires are expensive, and it really bummed me out. I called Rick, who suggested I bring it right over just in case it was close to a blowout. I dropped the car off, went and had lunch, and came back to find out that the guys had carefully extracted the screw, which had not penetrated all the way through. They then tested it and made sure that the tire was safe to drive on, washed the car, and brought it back out to me. The cost? Zero. People may make accusations about unethical treatment from service departments, but based upon my experience, it would be astounding if that was going on at Jessup. They had an opportunity to take advantage of me, and clearly they did not.

I guess ultimately referrals are the best measure of how someone feels about a car dealership. I have referred my brother (Malibu) my father and his business partners (several work trucks) and my mother (Equinox) to Dan Jessup to buy their new cars. I'd encourage Yelpers to do the same.

What more can I say about Dan, Andy and Steve at Jessup? They are the best! (*I challenge anyone to find someone more knowledgeable (and friendly) about cars and setting up all the useful gadgets that now come with them than Steve Moore.*) Thanks for another great vehicle and, as always,  great service. Every time I visit Jessup Auto Plaza I feel like a part of their family. We have purchased multiple cars over the years from Jessup and we keep coming back because they always go above and beyond. We have a Silverado & Tahoe and we are looking into the Chevy Cruze for our 16 year old daughter. We've compared prices with family from the L.A. area and we are certain that we have received the best deals for our vehicles. Why go out of town?
The Customer Service provided from Jessup's Sales Reps to their Service Department is top notch. Sherry (my Service Consultant) is fantastic! Whenever I bring my car in I know that I am in good hands and I trust her expertise. I trust this dealership and I feel confidant with their staff. Bottom line, they're good people!

My family has bought numerous vehicles from Jessup Auto Plaza over the years. We currently have a Saab and Suburban from Jessup. Doing business with Jessup is like banking with a community bank. You know the people you are dealing with and they know you. You are treated like a valuable customer and can bypass a lot of the red tape and line waiting one might encounter at a larger dealer with multiple locations. The only difference is that you can trust that Jessup will be around for many years to come, unlike some of the community banks here in the Coachella Valley.

Excellent service department.  I actually look forward to taking my vehicle in for service at Jessup.  Rick (my service consultant) has always been pleasant and knowledgeable.  He takes time to explain things in layman's terms and keeps me updated on the status of the repairs when I've chosen to wait.  If you have a GM vehicle, I highly recommend Rick with no hesitations at all.

Unfortunately, I'm not as impressed with their sales people.  Last year, I bought a Hummer H3.  I wanted to buy it from Jessup, but they didn't seem very interested in coming down on the price.  I ended up buying from a dealer in L.A. and was much happier with what they were able to offer me.

Unbelievably, this dyke pays to have the oil changed.  

I also give them one stars as "bull-shit artists", but five stars for being such "knobs".  Without multiple dealerships or many independent mechanics to use in the desert, many motorists have few options but to put up with these local-yokels.  Here are two examples:

A few months after I moved to PS I dropped my car off for a routine servicing.  The service assistance that did the check-in kept trying to up-sell me to purchase the "desert package" and he gave me this elaborate explanation about how standard factory issued parts are not adequate for the extreme heat of the desert.  He wanted to charge me just under $300.00 to have my hoses replaced with a supposed kit from the auto manufacturer that is specifically made to tolerate extreme heat.  If you do not see the immediate chutzpah - and humor - in that, you will need a little engine education.  I passed on his sweet offer and while waiting for my ride I called the manufacturer's US import rep in New Jersey.  When I asked if they were aware of a kit for hose replacement and gave the details of the "desert package", we had a good laugh.

#2 Like most European cars, every so often the routine servicing requires a more comprehensive inspection and check-up. Each dealership sets their price, but the specifics of the servicing are the same at all dealerships due to their contract with the manufacturer and importer.  Based on my prior experience I shopped around.  Jessup's price was just under $1,400.00.  In Orange County I paid just under $700.00.
