Reviews on Volvo

I hate going to car dealerships to look at vehicles and I remember the awful experience I had at Freeway Chevrolet purchasing the vehicle I currently drove. I drove down from Tempe to look at a used car here last Fall. I met with Lamont who was a pleasure to deal with. He was pleasant, prepared papers (including Carfax) for me on the vehicle before I arrived and didn't insult me on my trade. He even gave me repair and maintenance records on the car (basically the work Volvo had done to the car while it was in their possession). He was extremely thorough and even swung his computer around to show me the numbers of what they were it in for and the great deal I'd be getting, which I had somewhat already surmised.

I ended up passing on the car but I was appreciative of the service I received as a prospective buyer. He changed my mind a bit on how car dealerships operate as well.
If I lived in the Tucson area I would feel trusting in headed down to this dealership to look at a new or used vehicle. In fact, if VoT had something I really liked in my price range, I would drive down from the East Valley again.

One of the best car buying experiences ever,  LaMont was up front about everything and I felt no pressure at all unlike other car dealerships.  They gave me a great deal and great financing.  Highly recommend buying from them!

The absolute worst car buying experience ever! My wife bought a car from there and I would never go there again or recommend this place to anyone!  After buying the car my wife noticed numerous issues with the vehicle to include: cracked windshield, car needed a new air filter (she had to buy out of her own pocket) brakes that made this annoying noise and the vehicle didn't even come with floor mats. Seriously!? The sales person was unprofessional and at times It appeared I knew more about the Volvo product than she did. The management was extremely unwilling to work on price and options, like free tint. (Most dealerships will work with you on this) But the WORST part was after buying the vehicle my wife gets a phone call from the dealership telling her she needs to bring the car back now! Apparently, they filed the vehicle under the wrong VIN number. There was a similar car there at the time we bought, and the filed the wrong VIN. We had to bring the car back, then all of a sudden they wanted to put in free tint on the car and she got new floor mats. And after buying the car, they wouldn't even fill up the gas tank! I could go on, but needless to say..... One and done! Never going back. Id rather pay city sales tax and have a good experience then not, and have the experience we had. It's unfortunate. Shop around! Try Phoenix and know we will next time.

I bought a used Volvo XC60 and found the process with their Internet Sales Manager, LaMont Morrison, honest, transparent, easy, and fun thanks to his warm personality.  LaMont shared all the service records with me via email, showed all of the history with the dealership and answered all my questions thoroughly, doing research for things he didn't know.  No pressure or cut throat haggling. Really great easy experience.

I recently bought a used Hyaundai from them. Jake was very knowledgable about the inventory, new and used. The feel is great, not being jumped on when you walk in.

I'm getting my car services there as well. Fair price and nice people. I would highly recommend stopping by if you are looking for a car. Ask for Jake

The people here were very nice and helped me in the purchase of my vehicle.  The plus side is No City Sales Tax, so you save 2% on the purchase.  The only downer for purchasing a car at any dealer is the time it takes.  I had cash in hand and it still took 2 hours.

I have a Volvo SUV and I love my car.  It's my second one! The salesmen have been low key, so it was a pleasure to shop. The service department is perfect. There's always a loaner car for me. I used to drive a BMW and hated going in for service so much that I wouldn't consider buying another one!

Super people to deal with. I'm not normally a fan of dealer service, but I find no fault with these folks. They always deliver better than expected service. And everyone Is friendly and helpful.

For some reason on almost every visit over the last 2 years, something REALLY expensive needs to be replaced in my car. I've never had to dish out so much cash for a car, and not sure if it's normal for so many things to have to be replaced in a 5 year old car. And yes, this really rubs me the wrong way, but at the end of the day, Volvo is a fairly good service provider. I am definitely one of those people that pays too much for going to the dealer, but I'm not mechanic, so how would I know which things are an easy at home fix? And I'm not about to waste my time researching online forums just to  check if I'm being ripped off. Who knows, I might be most of the time, but at the end of the day, although I'm usually left a little poorer from servicing my car at Volvo, at least I have a little peace of mind that my car has been fixed. They get 4 stars for being friendly and attentive.

In 2006 I purchased my S80 from Tucson Volvo (at that time it was Broadway Volvo at their old location).  I have been bringing my car for service to Tucson since then.  Yes, I do pay more but you really can't beat their service team.  They're trustworthy and let you know what your options are.  Jade in particular really goes out of her way to make things flow smoothly and keep you informed through the process.  Its also nice to have the loaner car while mine is in the shop (except that $5.50 a day fee should be done away with).

Yes, I am one of those people who pay too much getting work done on their car by taking it to the dealer. But over the years I am glad I have taken my Volvo to a dealer--mostly because of being able to get a loaner car, but also because I always get taken care of so well.

This was my first time to Volvo of Tucson, and it was no exception. Everyone I came in contact with was super friendly and knowledgable. The person in charge of my service kept in constant contact with me about what was going on. They even contacted the last dealer I had service with to get additional information.

My only complaint was that unlike other dealers I have been to this one charged a $5.50 day fee for the loaner car, and I was not told about this until I noticed it on the bill.
