I brought my car in for repair after car accident.  After $2500 in repairs when i picked it up it was dirty and full of leaves and sap.  It had been parked under a tree I guess.  When I got home I saw there were scratches where the repair was already.  Plus other parts of the car that didn't need work had paint peeling off that was much worse than it was before.  I sent a follow up email the next day and they didn't reply.  I had to send another one and they said bring it in.  I brought in and basically wasted my time. They said they didn't have anything to do with it.  They were patronizing and insulting and talked to me like I had never driven a car before.   This was the auto body shop.  The maintenance was even worse.  I had them replace a temp sensor and this wasn't working right either and when I asked about this they talked to me like I was a 2 year old and that I had never driven a car before.  It was obvious they were trying to get out of any follow ups at all.  I would never take my car back there for anything at all.  Period!  I would not recommend this place to anyone either!  STAY AWAY FROM AUTO BODY AND MAINTENANCE HERE!

I manage a fleet of vehicles and have 3 Nissans.  I recently brought in Pathfinder for a basic service.  The tech that checked over the vehicle was knowledgeable enough, he/she found the struts blown and brake rotors burnt..  But OMG $1500 to fix it.. I took it to TCR 2 on Broadway and they replaced the struts for under $500 and the put on two new rotors for $147.  Thats less than HALF what this "Stealer" wanted and I'm happy with the work.  I have never bought a car here, so not sure how they measure up in that regard.

I usually use Yelp as a means to let the public know about how awesome a business is and what it is doing right, and I generally avoid bad reviews unless it is truly an exceptional case.  
Buying a car is often a pretty intimidating experience as it entails finding the right vehicle, and paying a fair price for the car. Most of all, the sales person plays an important part in giving the customer a good car buying experience. I expect maturity, professionalism, honesty, and sincerity from a exception car sales person and what I got, unfortunately, was not professional service, it was not sincere, it was not honest, and it left me with a very disappointed experience, and I am surely glad I did not buy here.
The sales person was very pushy with the direction he wanted my car buying experience to be, and did not respect my decisions. He even got visibly angry and agitated at me because I did not agree to his terms and his suggestions. He also said dealers elsewhere would not be so nice, which was very uncalled for. I made a reasonable offer that he calls "impossible" and they are taking a huge loss by selling me this car, and basically told me to go off my way. I made a offer in between because they had the car I had wanted and he refused. I left, he called within 10 minutes letting me know that he is able to offer me what I had asked for, and added another couple hundred dollars discounts on top of that.  I declined, and based on the negative experience I had, I do not wish to do business with this group and I will never recommend anyone to do business with them if they value any self respect.    
I bought my car from another dealer within the next 2 hours from start to finish with me driving off in my new SUV.  A straight forward pleasant experience as it should have been as I have done this many times before.  It was a much more relaxed atmosphere with a salesperson that was more than happy to assist me without all the go around and attitude I got from Thoroughbred.  Customers deserve respect even if they don't see eye to eye with the sales person, and I did not deserve and should not have received the poor service that occurred here.

I'm giving this review for their service/maintenance department. Since we've been a long time Nissan car owner, we always get our car serviced in a nissan dealership, and the service that they give us are very up to par. We had an appointment first thing in the morning and when we got there, they asked us the norm of what was going on with our vehicle, they swept our car away that instant. Told us what was going on and she even contacted our insurance (which will awesomely pay for all the service being done) and said the wait is 2hrs or so. We decided to wait for it since we really didn't have anything urgent to do that day. The waiting area is very clean with lots of periodicals/magazines that you can read to kill time, and even have a little nook for kids to play in. They also have donuts and coffee and even popcorn available for you to munch on as you wait. There's even a little glass window that you can look through and see all the mechanics working on the cars. It didn't take long for the lady to inform us that our car is ready for us and that everything that they said they'll fix has been taken care of. The service is prompt and the people are nice. We were out of there in no time and we are very pleased with their service.

My Nissan Rogue was having some transmission trouble so I took it in to get looked at. I won't go into the details of the repairs, but I did want to highlight the amazing service I got from the staff there. In particular, Lisa Smiley deserves a gold medal in car service because she not only helped track down a back ordered part, but also managed to get Nissan to fix my AC as a good will gesture. She even threw in an oil change and tune up because it took a while for my parts to come in. I can't even tell you how many calls she had to make to get my part and she was patient and upbeat the whole time. With Lisa it was clear from the start that my needs were important. She was understanding and friendly and went way out of her way to help me. If your Nissan needs service, take it to Thoroughbred and ask for Lisa Smiley. She knows the ropes and tries to get you as many services/parts as she can. She's absolutely the best!!

I had varies experiances but mostly good, however, so far they have screwed my husband over, by James in the Preowned lot not communicating to the service department what needed to be fixed on his car so he had to be without it for about a week.  Now it is the finance department over drafting his bank account.  My husband has been having so many customer service issues that it is rediculous

07/19/2014, drove down from home near phoenix wanted to purchase a new pathfinder, moved from Oregon to Arizona, 2000, all the phoenix area Car dealers are impossible for me to work with after numerous dealings that were Criminals should be locked up, I worked for new car dealers 44 years, in Service Dept, and Manager over Service and Parts departments, dealing with Thorougbred Nissan in Tucson was like dealing with my old dealers I started out with, family owned and operated, pilar of the community, even met owner, Oscar, accidental, not on purpose, I meet Robert Soucy few years ago Hawaii Cruise, Robert was Service advisor back then, we became friendly after the cruise. Visited once socially, Robert was promoted to a Sales Manager recently. every person had dealings with was well behaved and respectful, deal they gave me was close to what I would paid back when I was employee at family owned dealers I worked for. This was my third new car purchase since moving to Arizona, previously purchased 10 new vehicles, only couple of those purchases were bad experiences, I have higher expectations than the average buyer because my 44 years working in that industry, David Sanchez was my Sales person, financial services person provided exactly what I asked for, financing and Nissan Brand extended warranty 8 years or 100,000 miles, which I always buy along with a new car, normally other Car dealers want to fist fight over this request. I definitely recommend this dealer for new or used car purchase for anybody seeking to fulfill that need, to others family friends persons who know me, this endorsement is a really big deal

From the beginning, David was always sincere, friendly & easily approachable! He listened to what we were looking for, and found the most perfect 2014 Rogue I could ever dream of! He was never ever pushy, gave sound advice like a friend, and always carried himself professionally. Kimson was SUPER in finding the Rogue I wanted with all the features I yearned for- and in the end, both David & Kimson were making sure the Rogue I went home with was the one that I felt good with in my heart- and nothing less! I would buy again & again from my agent, David & Kimson the facilitating sales manager! Except.... I have been getting my Titan truck serviced here for many years now. Lisa has been my service advisor. She is very helpful and knowledgeable. The staff is friendly. There are snacks to enjoy while you wait. The furniture is comfortable. Thoroughbred Nissan got my business because they didn't mess around. Period.

I've never bought a new car for myself before, never paid more than $5k for any car I've purchased. My husband only buys new cars and I've always prided myself on being the frugal one in the family. Recently, however, I began thinking about replacing my 10-year-old minivan with something newer and smaller, and the new Nissan Versa caught my eye. I did a ton of research and finally decided that I wanted a 2014 Versa S in onyx blue with a standard transmission.

I got jerked around by two different dealerships, one in Sierra Vista and one in Peoria, before I gave Thoroughbred Nissan a call. I got John T on the phone and told him right up front that I didn't want to haggle or negotiate. He was very direct and honest, and within twenty minutes, we had a deal.

I docked a star because of the length of time it took to get stuff done after we got there. It took 1.5 hours for us to even get to Thoroughbred Nissan from Sierra Vista, and we were there for about 1.5 hours total, I think. Only about 25 minutes of that was actually signing paperwork. The rest was sitting around, waiting. I hate waiting. Also, I wish I'd gotten a little more value on my trade-in, but that's really my fault, not theirs. I could have pushed harder for a higher credit.

On the plus side: they did give us water and coffee and even provided popcorn for my son, which was good because he might have started eating the upholstery of the showroom cars otherwise. I also love my new car, it's exactly what I was looking for and John understood that I'd already done my research and didn't want anything extra. They gave me financing at about 1 point lower than my bank had offered me, which enabled me to get an extended warranty for the same payment amount. They also gave me a Thoroughbred Nissan tote bag, coffee travel mug and water bottle as a thank you gift. My husband bought a 2014 Honda Pilot from Arrowhead Honda two months ago and he got zip! I will forever hold it over his head that I got bonus gifts with my $13k vehicle and he got nothing at all with his $35k vehicle. lol

Thanks to Thoroughbred Nissan for being honest and quick. I would not have bought a car there if they'd given me any kind of hassle at all, but they came through for me.

My wife and I had been looking for a car for awhile and had run into some bad luck with some other dealerships, mostly up in Phoenix.  I saw an ad for a vehicle we were interested and contacted Eric about it.  He was very helpful in answering all my questions and invited us to come down to the dealership to speak in person.  When we got there Eric greeted us but had to pass us on to Michael due to another obligation.  Michael was very friendly and listened to us about our poor experience at the other dealership.  He was very upfront with everything and took the time to explain the whole process to us.  We eventually were able to settle on a very good price for the '13 Rogue that we wanted and the process could not have been better.  Even if we had not bought the car from this dealership, I would have to say that this was the best staff we encountered the entire time we were shopping.  Everyone was so friendly and no high pressure sales tactics at all.  When I decide to buy another car down the road Thoroughbred will be the first place I look.

I know I'm not alone when I say I have NEVER been a fan of buying a car. And I LOVE to buy things. I buy things all the time. Buying stuff is the best.

But I had put off buying a car for several months before it became apparent that I needed to get rid of my behemoth SUV for a more economical car (the gas cost was ridiculous).

I'd visited several dealerships but didn't find a good fit anywhere until I went to Thoroughbred Nissan. And a Nissan wasn't even on my list of potentials. But the dealership was recommended so I went last Saturday with a certain amount of trepidation.

They were grilling some burgers and hotdogs so it smelled phenomenal and we were immediately greeted before we walked in the door. Paulette was my salesperson - who was very patient with me and answered my million questions. I think I test drove three or four cars before finally settling on the first one Paulette suggested.

The process was as smooth as I could have hoped for. All the sales and finance people were incredibly nice and the dealership was hopping that day. The owner, Oscar, was walking around and spent a bit of time with all of the customers.

The showroom itself was nice - more like sitting in a living room than in a car dealership. There wasn't a ton of pressure and I walked out there a happy new car owner.

I had originally planned on buying a Honda but I've had my new car for a week now and I think I may be a convert. Great overall experience. Would highly recommend.

Came to get my car checked and tires rotated and the service here was amazing, friendly staff, clean atmosphere and Lisa Nguyen helped me. She was super friendly, way adorable and has great customer service. They have popcorn and water for us while we and they were also BBQ food for everyone which was a really good idea for the customers that are here for while getting their car serviced. Will defiantly come back again.

Everyone is amazing, nice and welcoming. They really go above and beyond to take care of you. The facility is nice and clean. They have BBQ Saturdays for lunch so it's real nice for customers to grab a bite while they wait. Also if you check they're online website, there are service coupons available. I located a fairly rare VW Diesel that they had on their used lot. Since I live in Phoenix I did my best to verify the condition of the car, and details prior to driving 2 hours down there to pick it up. I ended up dealing with Robert Blevins, the internet manager. I asked him if he could put me on hold and go out to the lot to inspect the car. I asked him to walk around it, and then open the doors and see if it was clean and smelled ok. He did as I asked and reported back that "it was a really clean car, no smell of smoke or pets, and was a great used car". We negotiated a deal and I said I would be down to pick it up the following evening. I left work, and immediately headed for Tucson with the family to buy our new car! WHAT A PIECE OF CRAP CAR! I have honestly never seen such a rough car on a used lot at a major deal before. This thing was auction material at best. Hundreds of paint chips in the hood, a dent in the fender, and what looks like a run in with a pole or the corner of a garage on the drivers door. Not one of these flaws was visible in the photos on their site, and good ol' Robert failed to mention them to me when specifically asked. He must have thought once I made the drive I would just go ahead and buy whatever he put in front of me. I THINK NOT. I looked at the car for 30 seconds, told Robert what I thought of his customer service, got back in the truck and drove back home. 4 hours in the car, $40+ in fuel and not much more than a "well, it is a used car...". What an jerk off. To follow it up, I wrote a letter via their website contact section about my experience, and did not hear one single thing back. Maybe you'll have better luck, but based on their overall Yelp review, I don't think so.

Car dealerships, in general, have left a bad taste in my mouth over the years. However, both of my daughters have bought their cars from Thoroughbred  recently and I was involved in the process of both.

I instructed them both to get their financing in order before going to the dealership so they didn't have to use dealer financing. For once, they listened... and were glad they did.

Still... the salesperson (both times) took their name, social, rent payment, monthly earnings, address and all the other stuff you need for financing. When I told them they already had financing and asked why they needed this info the answer was, "well it's to make sure they are not terrorists". So... what kind of terrorist worth their weight walks into a Tucson Nissan dealership with their 40-something father in tow, hands over their license and test drives a used Altima? Really?

With only limited strife, thanks to pre-approved financing, both ended up leaving with used cars that they, and I (the one who they will call when their car breaks down) feel comfortable with.

My Nissan is from a different state but they treated me like I had bought my car from them. They got me in for repairs and service right away.  I received several calls through out the day updating me on my car's repairs and some additional concerns.   They didn't pressure me or guilt me into anything and helped me made educated and informed decisions.  They even helped me figure out the level of importance on each repair so that way I could afford the repairs I needed right away and which ones could wait a few weeks.  All the staff were extremely friendly and I haven't been treated so well by a dealership like this in YEARS!  I will definitely be going back to them for all concerns and services.

I want to give Thoroughbred Nissan 3.5 stars because it's A-OK but i'm only just on the verge of liking it.

Pros:
* Staff is friendly and jovial
* They let me bring my dog inside
* Lots of service specials on the weekend
* Occasional free BBQ lunches for weekend services
* The obligatory dealership logo on their cars is an unobtrusive horse
* Though a bit sterile, the waiting area is large and marginally more comfortable than * other shops

Cons:
* Takes a little while for routine service such as oil change
* Not the cheapest route (duh)
* Lots of spam flyers in the mail

also, we had an issue with the paint chipping off along the roof gutters on an Xterra we bought from them. The shop was unable to fix this issue because, even though it had obviously been going on for some time, we noticed it JUST after the warranty mileage was hit. I suppose it was a matter of company policy because when my husband made a comment to the effect of "this makes me never want to buy another Nissan," the shop manager let us know their customer service is monitored and that he didn't blame us at all--then he 1.) suggested we look into the camera and say that again 2.) gave us the company address and said to try writing a letter. other than that, the powertrain warranty covered work done on the timing belt but not on some ignition coils (dude, this is a 5 year old car with mostly city driving...wtf). To be fair, though, they did completely replace the pinstriping on our car right after we bought it because of a few peely spots... my impression is that nissans aren't what they used to be but that Thoroughbred's shop has done quite a bit to be accomodating, though they follow the warranty very strictly.

I couldn't wait to write this review from my experience 2 weeks ago but I held it because I had a slight issue (some wax wasn't buffed off and it appeared to be ruined paint but it was not, they fixed it in super fast time, too) after delivery and wanted to see how they handled the situation. In short: Thoroughbred Nissan kicks some major ass.

As a 46 year-old who has bought many cars over the years (see my other dealer review, they didn't come out so well), I was on-point before going to drive 4 cars at various dealerships. I had my low financing already locked in and had a firm price point to hit. The new VW dealership wasn't moving on price and they pulled some dealership games so I wanted out. When I got to Thoroughbred, Adam was my salesman and we did almost all communicating through email and txt. Modern technology is great for that. I drove the car, loved it, talked Carfax info and wanted the car. The other choices were also-rans so Adam and I did our deal in txt and agreed on pricing pretty quickly.

This is where it gets good. I was in and out in record time. They pulled my credit to see if they could offer a better interest rate and they did! WOW. It was teeny and they beat it! And my rate was from a credit union. I was impressed. Then came time to go to Finance and Insurance. I was worried about all the upselling that goes on in F&I so I was on guard. Boy was I wrong. Yes, he offered the various upsell products (hey, extra profit is extra profit so you can't blame them) but never re-asked. It was a simple "no" and we went along with the paperwork. The whole process took maybe 90 minutes to get the car appraised, paperwork done and financing locked in. If you've ever bought a new car, you can appreciate the expeditiousness. Never once did I feel hustled or abused like at so many other dealerships. Then, when I had the wax on the hood issue, they were beyond cordial with my initial emails and said to "come on in and we'll get it all fixed." They lived up to my expectations and beyond at every touch-point. Johnny the GM, Freddy, the guy who booked my trade, and another Johnny (Chavez) in Service all hooked me up and I cannot say enough great things about my experience there. Adam, my sales guy was so not the typical "salesman" and it made life so much easier when we negotiated. I think I got a great deal after looking at wholesale and retail book prices. And the price I paid and the process to get my price was easy, fast and not typical per my experiences.

Sorry for the long review but because it was so different than other places, I wanted to say nice things about everyone there.

My husband and I had a great experience with this Dealer. So did my sister.

When I went looking for my 2012 Nissan Juke SV AWD  I checked surrounding states for the car and model I wanted with the options I wanted. Thoroughbred met my price with no problem - well under everyone else.
When I wanted to sign papers later at night, on my way out of town for a business trip, someone stayed late to conclude the paperwork. They kept the car for me while I went on my trip and it was all detailed and ready to go when I picked it up 5 days later.
It was a fast, easy and great deal.

We took our car in to get the sun roof fixed because it was stuck open after a burglary attempt.  They told us that there is nothing they can do, they cannot close the sun-roof even if we just want it shut and don't care about having the roof fixed.  They were going to charge us over $700.  We almost bought a new car from them because of the charges they were wanting us to pay.  Thankfully we didn't give up on our car, and were able to close the sun roof simply by taking some screws and the motor out.  I don't know if the people at the dealership are incompetent or very dishonest and want to charge you as much as they can, but I would not take my car there ever again!!!!

These folks lied to my face after we agreed to a sales price. I told them I was paying cash for a new car, and after huddling for 10 minutes they told me that the price they had agreed to had to be financed (they knew I was paying cash). They said if I paid cash the price was $500 more (not 499 or 501) to offset their profit from lack of financing. This was total BS. They are liars and cheats and after buying 3 cars from them I will never ever buy another one. I'll take my car to Jim Click for service.

After searching the net for some local finds on a couple of cars we'd been reading about, we headed over to Thoroughbred Nissan. They had a couple we were interested in.

The cars were new trade-ins that they'd assumed before the holiday weekend. We got there Monday & the cars hadn't been detailed yet.  One was in the body shop for what appeared to be some rear-end damage (though the salesman said he didn't know unless he pulled the Carfax). It clearly had some issues with the rear bumper (the salesman said the clips just came out but my husband disagreed).

But here's the part that kept me from test driving:  He said his manager had been using the car we were interested in over the holiday for his family. So it makes me wonder, is this dealer lending out their cars after they're listed? Is this a rental yard or a dealership?

I was pleased with the service here. I had been in contact with six other dealers in Tucson on Phoenix. And while Thoroughbred had the vehicle of my second choice I went with it because I felt like I was respected and getting a reasonable deal.

The showroom and offices are clean, the feel is professional and the staff seemed pretty honest and also attentive. I did not feel pressured, ignored or harassed like I did at two other places in town.

I bought my Nissan Titan from the used sales lot last summer. Great experience with the sales transaction, worked with Roland, not sure if he's still around.

I received a recall notice on my Titan in the mail just a couple months ago for a fuel system component. the service department scheduled me for an 8am appointment the very next day. Service was fast, friendly and quality. I also felt comfortable in the nice waiting area provided.

I'd recommend Thoroughbred to anyone who wants to join the Nissan family!

If I could give them 0 stars I would. They seriously suck I was to cuss and scream at everyone there. I need a simple part for my car navigation, I called on Saturday and they said they do not take payments by phone that I would have to come in. I griped only because I live 40 min away but hey I need the part. I go in and I am told it take 3 business days to come in. Cool Wed. it will be in I took off Wed. afternoon to pick up the part and take my car in. So Wed. morning I call after being on hold for 10 min. I hung up waited and called back this time i was on hold for 6 min. then told my part was not in. Long story short It is now Saturday 1 week and only 1 of my 2 pieces came in. I had to call them everyday instead of getting a courtesy call saying it will take longer. They just have bad customer service and every time I was there they had no customers. So I don't understand the hold up. I simple call and/ or politeness goes a long way!

Went here with my best friend from college to test drive cars. We were completely flat out denied a test drive in the 350Z when we first went here. They told my buddy he did not look like he could afford that car. Being the cool type, he just walked away. He took personal offense but did not do much to express it.

We went again a little later this time in his Porsche and they had no problem letting us drive whatever car we wanted. It was not like we were wanting to test drive a really expensive car initially, it was under $40K. We even told them we were completely denied last time. They acted like they did not know what we were talking about.

My buddy just ended up buying the car from elsewhere.
